The Watermelons - strangling economies one industry at a time;
It was 2:30 am when I finally got my ten minutes to tell the provincial NDP government of Manitoba what I thought about Bill 17 the anti-hog, anti-farming, anti- business bill. It was the second time I was at the legislature this week and I think I waited 14 hours in total for my name to be called. This is what I said…
What does a state need productive industry when it has welfare?

Posted by: Paul at June 12, 2008 10:20 PMWay to go!!!
It is getting harder and harder to keep track of all these moves by governments, at all their many levels.
Thank you for speaking your mind. I wish you and your family all the best.
It is worth maintaining our health so that we can, one day, smack these guys down a few pegs!!!!

So they are culling hogs in Quebec, but Manitoba hog farmers want to expand. Is this part of the reason for Bill 17? To pander to Quebec? Why would Manitoba do that?

It's not Manitoba ! It's the the gang of retards that are the provincial NDP.
File that under clowns in politics.
What a wonderful piece.Bang on, calling the fascists exactly what they are...totalitarian rat bastard fascists. Loved too have heard and seen what reactions were given in the room when he was done. Silent rage and much gnashing of tiny pointy teeth, I would wager.
Posted by: Talkinghead at June 12, 2008 11:47 PMI'm not so sure that just calling them Rat Bastard Socialists isn't more accurate. Remember, it's the Socialists that kill their own...for the Good of the State, Don'cha'no!!
Disgusting Socialist Brew
Posted by: Pat at June 13, 2008 1:31 AMCanada doesn't have property rights, never has, and with the spineless wonders we have sitting in the House of Commons we never will.
Posted by: Zip at June 13, 2008 3:45 AMIt's all part of Moe Strong's UN Agenga 21 playing out at the local level. Obviously the Manitoba Dips have some Turtle Bay fascists in their midst driving the UNs sustainability feudalism.
Vacant social engineers using the province as a political experiment in their sustainability fascist economics...and in the bargain frikking with the free market supply and demand curves and creating dangerous shortages and costs in the food supply...not to mention destroying property rights.
Canada has been used as a lab to run these disasterous political experiments for the past 30 years...time to run the buggers out and never let them near the switches again.

You have hit the nail on the head.
I have noticed this agenda for years.
Puppet governments. Know their connections.
We all will become trespassers and poachers on what was once our own land. Homesteaders will be turning over in their graves for the hardships they endured to start afresh in a new land with new freedoms.
The Watermelons;
What can they have against watermelons? We all enjoy watermelons, both kinds. = TG
Posted by: TG at June 13, 2008 6:07 PMKidding aside, Penner is an articulate and crushing debate reasoner.
That was one of the best effective oppositions to bill 17 one could hope to be witness to. Well done Rolf. = TG
