Justin, Son Of Margaret

Please someone, refresh my memory.

Justin Trudeau's qualifications to speak publicly on the topic of "protecting the earth and the future of Canada's health care systems, schools and communities" are what, again?

Any idea?

Oh, that's right - he won the Lucky Y-Chromosome Lottery.

Lucky him.

Lucky us.

One thing about Justin, he always has Justin on his mind.

"Citizen engagement". There's two feel-good wishy-washy words to scare the crap out of you. News for Justin - it works the other way around - we, the citizens, engage the you, the politicians in an act of delegation. You, the policitians, do not "engage" us in your causes - which in the Liberal system of beliefs and behaviors, (in my opinion, after much observation), are merely vehicles to attain power, and not to be taken seriously by anyone who is actually paying attention.

What a 'prince' eh?

Wonder how much this one's gonna cost us...

Posted by: ldd at June 4, 2008 1:17 AM

Another sign of a discombobulating land dripping in its own dissipation. We now have hereditary politicians by our own making. Neo- aristocrats who think they have a form of secular absolutism like the Kings of old thought they where Divinely appointed & anyone who disagreed did so with God. Another new low with an entrenched elite of playboy ideologues fishing politically in the same polluted stream as Maurice Strong with his other pseudo-socialist friends.

THIS IS HILARIOUS YOU GUYS!! Justin Trudeau once said that people who limit themselves to one language are "LAZY." On Radio-Canada Saskatchewan French news, 6:00 PM Tuesday, Mr Goodale comes on the report to defend Justin Trudeau's "bilingual" views. Guess what guys?? This is French television, but Regina Wascana MP Ralph Goodale can't speak French. So he's on French TV knocking Gerry Ritz "en Anglais." Shame shame Ralphie!! Youz a bad Liberal!!

Posted by: Lone Ranger at June 4, 2008 1:39 AM

I'm surprised at you Kate for asking the question. His qualifications are at least as good as Barrack Obamas.

Posted by: Gunney99 at June 4, 2008 1:40 AM

I have yet to see a debate on Health Care in this country EVER get past the 'no American-style yadda yadda...." derailment tactic.

Based on that fact alone, I'd say he is actually enormously over-qualified.

Posted by: Canadian Observer at June 4, 2008 1:40 AM

WHILE WERE TALKING TRUDEAUS--Did you see Margaret on CBC Sunday?? She blames "bi-polar" disorder for her affairs with guys like Mick Jagger, etc etc etc. She was "bi-polar" alright. Let's see now...There was Pierre's pole, Mick's pole.....

Self diagnosis no doubt with 20/20 hind sight.
And no mention of the copious amounts of drugs consumed I bet.
(don't watch cbc any more)

be afraid, be very very afraid. obama+trudeau etal = the end of the world as we know and love it

but, but...surely ... The Land Is Strong!

Posted by: RW at June 4, 2008 5:20 AM

Trudeau will address citizen engagement and how it can make a difference in protecting the earth and the future of Canada's health care systems, schools and communities

The philosopher king deigns to enlighten teh mere moprtal citizens.

Posted by: RW at June 4, 2008 5:23 AM

Can someome point me to a text of his speech ... I'd like to "edit" it.

Posted by: RW at June 4, 2008 5:25 AM

It's always hilarious when I hear "progressive" people grumble that our constitutional monarchy is an out-of-date system of hereditary rule.

The same people who clamour for Justin Trudeau because, well, because he's, er, Pierre Trudeau's son (so he must be good, eh?).

It looks like the Americans have just avoided a similar trap.

Had Hillary been elected president on the strength of her marriage to a former president, it would have meant:

1. the US political system would have become little better than that of Argentina; and

2. For the past 20 years, and potentially for eight more, a country of 300 million people could find only two families (the Bushes and the Clintons) to draw its heads of state from.

Vox populi, indeed!

Can't anyone find a mountain for this fcukr to fall off/ski down?

Posted by: madasl at June 4, 2008 6:36 AM

Just because he has that annoying facial expression of ...-so ready-...-so waiting in the wings-...He should not be held guilty for the sins of his father..s.. but wait, he is catholic isn't he...an I guess that means he does carry that burden of guilt...But then confessions mean everything...so cleansed..
How can sucking off a few rockers be compared to the legacy of her marriage partner, a power monger stalinistic fascistic trotskian leninist mohamedan who has been responsible for laying the ground work for the destruction of this country.

Posted by: cosmic at June 4, 2008 6:49 AM

His mothers' brains, his fathers' politics.

Posted by: tom at June 4, 2008 7:36 AM

It's all in the family.
My cousin Ron Lowe, is the GM of the Oilers. Now he isn't dead, nor is he ill. But his hair is receding and mine isn't, so I believe that in the near future I may step into the organization as acting (until Ron gets plugs or shaves his head and grows a goatee)GM.
Seems logical.

Posted by: multirec at June 4, 2008 7:41 AM

Can anyone find a "Moby" liberal in conservative clothing?

Oh wait, right here above me.....!

Posted by: Doug at June 4, 2008 8:33 AM

Apparently not all the Human Rights Commission employees are attending the show trials at the Star Chamber.

Normally I would think it was Steve MacKinnon, but a real Liberal couldn't blaspheme the Creator's family like that.

Posted by: summom bonum at June 4, 2008 8:42 AM

Kate,
Thanks for finally speaking out against patriarchy and the perpetuation of social inequality on the basis of class, gender, race, and dare we say attractiveness. I completely agree that were not Justin a white male of privilege (wealth, prestige, good looks) he wouldn't have access to the power he has.

Notwithstanding he was duly nominated and will likely be duly elected by the people in the next election. Madasi's ill wishes for Justin are pure class.

Again, I just wish the commenters on this blog were a little more educated. The left hates Trudeau as much as you do. Calling him a socialist is completely absurd, but then again perhaps this is just one of those days when the mental rightards across this country have interrupted their regular internet activities (porn, poker, prejudice) long enough to come comment on here.

Posted by: WL Mackenzie Redux at June 4, 2008 9:26 AM

Ive always thought Justin looked more like Mick Jagger than his majesty Pierre .

he was always sort of effeminant in a Jagger sort of way. Frankly I was really surprised when he married and spawned the next generation of liberals for CBCpravda to fawn over. though I think they would be happier if he declared he was "bi" in a different way.

Posted by: cal2 at June 4, 2008 9:27 AM

Why? Well he's the son of Mamma Moonbat.

Anybody walked around carrying a forbidden book lately, like the soon to be Steyn book, or a Salmon R. book...or defiled a Koran in any way such as reading your copy in English and with no kleenex having to sneeze and not wanting to sneeze all over people in front or back, putting up the open book to catch the snot and then having to rip out the page rather than shut the book with all that flem and snot sticking the pages together......
This action from a senior deserves the assault that followed...
I know a female senior who did this in Toronto in a subway station coming up past the news stand vendor. She was chased, then threatened by death, then physically assaulted as he grabbed hold of her..She pulled away and he grabbed her hand harder trying to yank away the book, while screaming..it's my book...I'll kill you...She got away and was chased up the stairs... and pushed out the doorway of the subway station in front of many others as he yelled abusive threats to her.. The news stand attendant who was defending His honor and His religion and His holy book.
Afterall, he has made a stand there..It is his area now..he and his wife both extremists I guess because she was right behind him yelling abuse and they have a right to chase her out. She can use another station...They have claimed this one.
Police informed her afterward at the hospital that what she did was a Hate crime and that the much physically stronger younger man who was within his rights to intimidate, chase, threaten, usher death threats...and further more he could press charges...and Afterall, there were no real injuries..after x-rays...just bruises and swelling...even though the whole incident was clearly on video...they said they would go to speak to him and tell him he could file charges as a hate crime if he chose.
The following day just to show support and make their claim to the area and their presence known......a huge gathering occured at the park across from the subway station...over 40 full Burka wearing women and their many many many children along with another group of husbands who sat adjacent them...
The senior now completely intimidated and frightened will never defile the Koran in public again.. She will wear a scarf and cover her face when she goes past the news stand...so that she will show commradship with the vendors...and hide the English version of the Koran that she is reading to understand the basis of Islam, hide it well, between her legs, down her panties where even as a senior it may be subject to secretions...
Vivala Canada...

Hey, he's got great qualifications! Good hair, straight nose, and he can read the lines he's fed without saying "um" too much.

If you're a Liberal, that's all you need. "Cause its all how you feeeeeeel about thing's, y'know.

Posted by: The Phantom at June 4, 2008 10:56 AM

When asked about their qualifications, Trudeau and Simard responded:

Qualifications? We don need no stinkin qualifications (except the firm conviction that history began this morning).

Opposition challenges Simard appointment:
http://origin.www.cbc.ca/news/story/2000/03/13/simardsaho000313.html
“In the early 1990's, [Saskatchewan's former Health Minister] Louise Simard helped close or downgrade 52 rural hospitals.”
“Simard, who is also the wife of Deputy Premier, Dwayne Lingenfelter, says health care has always been important to her…”

Good Lord Kate!

It wasn't very thoughtful of your readers to include a picture of this talentless, silver-spoon wastrel without a warning. I was just about to eat lunch.

Now I'm not hungry.

His qualifications are better than James Rajotte's to speak about industry.

Pierre Trudeau not only brought home the Constitution, he brought home the Monarchy. He became Queen (a role he was comfortable in) and his scions are his heirs to the Thrown.

Posted by: John Chittick at June 4, 2008 12:48 PM

AA, et al:

Jim Prentice is the Federal Industry minister, not Rajotte.

The disgussion was environment and health, not industry.

So, aside from an inability to read, your point is??

Posted by: Warwick at June 4, 2008 12:52 PM

Good to hear you on Gormley, Kate. As a caller later in the show asked, what green transportation brought Trudeau to Sk? The loudest voices are usually the biggest wasters. I'd like to see him in a 900 sq. ft. house.

Aw, warwick!

I thought when you mentioned 'talentless silver-spoon wastrel' you were talking about GW Bush!

Then I realized the words 'alcoholic' and 'war criminal' weren't included so I knew it couldn't be about him!

But what's up with good Christians like you and Sarnia Jim wishing for someone's death? That's weird! It's like you can't better the guy with your ideas so you wanna see him dead?!

I mean Jim has an excuse for that kind of thinking - he's from Sarnia ...but you?

Great, another expensive conference where the bureaucrats get to wine and dine on the health care budget about how to rearrange the proverbial deck chairs.
First will come the motivational speaker: "You have the power blah, blah, blah. . ". Then there'll be the plenary session with the "keynote speaker": "You have the power blah, blah, blah. . .". Then there'll be the "breakout sessions" (a new acne treatment maybe? No such luck): how do we "empower" everyone? One region, or fifty? (Would you prefer a red deck chair, or green? --bow or stern seating?). Then there'll be a session on how those dumb stokers (oops, doctors and nurses) just don't understand the big picture (actually they do which is why so many head to the U.S.). Then there'll be the wrap up panel discussion "red deck chairs versus green and bow versus stern -- toward a new paradigm". Then they'll all return Monday morning, empowered, and still f#@k up the order for the epidural sets.

Yes, he's not qualified. I mean, maybe if he wrote a blog or something. Or painted skulls on motorcycle helmets with wicked cool flames. Or could groom a dog to look "pretty". Maybe then I'd trust his judgment. But lacking those kinds of impressive qualifications, I don't think he should be out speaking publicly about these things.

Your slag of Kate may hold more weight as an argument if the whelp had accomplished anything at all. Since Justin hasn't even been able to stick with a job at all, his resume isn't thin, it's non-existent.

So, show your leftard disregard for Kate's productive employment all you want. Whatever you think of it, it's more than your hero has done. Jr or Sr.

Posted by: Warwick at June 5, 2008 1:12 PM

While I am completely in favour of everyone speaking their minds, I think it is in really bad taste to wish anyone harm, or to make disparaging comments about the death of a brother or family member. Talk to me after you have lost someone suddenly at a young age. Or anyone at any age for that matter. I would not wish that on anyone - ever.

The great thing about this country is we get to vote for who we want to. So if you don't agree with his politics, then don't vote for him. Or call him on his politics - when I have seen him he has been challenged by many and sometimes he proves his point, other times not. But at least he is trying. More than I can say for the current government.
