It will look nice on the flag of the New World Order. They've been looking for their boy and I think they've found him.

Posted by: gellen at June 2, 2008 12:05 AM

It's the end of the world as we know it.

Posted by: Sounder at June 2, 2008 12:16 AM

Obama is indeed a martyr for the death of the liberal cause. Hopefully there will be no resurrection of the false messiah.

Posted by: Ace at June 2, 2008 12:27 AM

Won't do, or can't do? Miracle man or not, it's getting mighty crowded under that bus, all the folk been throwd underneath it lately. Hope the Monday Surprise doesn't require him to dump Michelle--may not be room for her.

Obama is indeed a martyr for the death of the liberal cause this November. Hopefully there will be no resurrection of the false messiah in 2012.

Posted by: Ace at June 2, 2008 12:28 AM

The question is: can you belong to two cults at the same time? Obama's and Gore's? Will Al get jealous? Stay tuned!

Posted by: Soccermom at June 2, 2008 1:03 AM

Frankly i dont care for him he makes me feel uneasy he could be the antichrist

Posted by: Spurwing Plover at June 2, 2008 1:16 AM

That one would have gone up in stained glass at Trinity United Church for sure, had Obama not disowned them (for their own good, of course!) a few days ago.

The June 2 cover of Newsweek has a halo on Obama as well (scroll on the left for the June 2 cover).

http://www.newsweek.com/id/138586

According to the report linked below, the editor's wife rejected the previous "stark" version at the last minute and lo and behold, Obama gets a halo!

Before and after pic here:

http://tinyurl.com/4ywdjv

"After working on the attached cover all week and making multiple modifications, the cover was killed late Friday night. Why? The wife of the editor stopped by, apparently saw the cover and expressed her disapproval. Amazingly, the previously approved cover, worked on all week, was killed."

Posted by: aek at June 2, 2008 1:25 AM

Every liberal I know says he walks on water, so put that together with his ability to see dead people, and the halo isn't all too surprising.

Posted by: RobertJago at June 2, 2008 1:34 AM

we have not seen such a man since Pierre Idiot Trudeau grew out his locks and danced the hoochykoochy behind the Queens back.

Posted by: Samuel at June 2, 2008 2:12 AM

The Time magazine Mar 10, 2008 cover has his halo shining so bright that you'd think he was the Official Greeter at Heaven's Door.

Ooooo, just thinking about Him makes me feel faint....where's my Obama Water?

Posted by: Obama Boy at June 2, 2008 2:28 AM

I wonder how many people know that Trudeaupe's pirouette was staged.

Posted by: bud at June 2, 2008 7:25 AM

Samuel, since you are apparently not capable of understanding context, please Google pictures of our previous Defence Minister and other Conservative figures speaking at (I'm going from memory here) the "Empire Club". There you will see the photos with the Conservative's face squarely in front of a maple leaf...with the top of the maple leaf looking like a crown. Most unbecoming photographs that catch the subject with their mouth half-open or their eyes starting to close or something goofy.

Then compare that to photographs of Liberals speaking at the same place and to this photo of Obama. You will see the difference and understand the point of the column better.

The photographers purposely take the photos from specific vantage points to give a desired effect...then the MSM buys the photo that gives the appropriate subliminal effect they are looking for. This is another example of the MSM bias against Conservatives/Republicans.

It is hard to beleive that our American friends may elect a Muslim leader of their country.God help us all if Obama becomes President.

Posted by: Ron at June 2, 2008 8:41 AM

Notice how BO threw his grandmother under the bus for supposedly being a "typical white racist"

Yet when the veil was lifted from his church, and it is full of racist sermons and propaganda, BO NEVER uses the racist word to describe the clowns doing the preaching or the idiots of the congregation.

Typical leftard logic where racism is a one-way street.

Posted by: OttRob at June 2, 2008 8:41 AM

"Is there nothing that Obama won't do?"

No, apparently not. That's why I don't like him. Guy like that running things, you could find the cops kicking your door down at 3AM because you own an SUV.

Cue the shrieks of RACIST RACIST RACIST from the idiot factory.

In a way I am hoping Obama wins the US Presidency. He is such a socialist that after he is elected he will screw the USA so much, that in the following election you will never see a Democratic President again in the history of the USA. Maybe then leftists, socialist, etc. will realize how ignorant they really are....

Posted by: Mike L. at June 2, 2008 9:19 AM

Spurwing Plover; I am surprised it has taken someone so long to connect the dots. I have been very uneasy about the very same thing.

Posted by: eliza at June 2, 2008 9:52 AM

Mikel ... socialists never realize how ignorant they are!

Posted by: OMMAG at June 2, 2008 10:17 AM

Mike, sorry, but, wishing upon us four years of misery with the economic destruction that only the lame lefties can unleash - review the Carter years - and giving a nice four year respite to our enemies - review the Carter years - punishes all of us for the ignorance of others. It's not a smart attitude. I really don't care to see this country suffer that. I know you really weren't wishing that either.

Lefties and socialists never learn anything when they screw up. Their biggest recorded screw up in human history, Marxism, in spite of empirical evidence on all levels it was a failure including millions dead is still idealized and reconstituted at every chance by those pinheads.

Perhaps Trinity United has a different interpretation on the Tenth Commandment than I do.

You know, the one about not coveting (desiring wrongfully or inordinately esp. something belonging to another person) anything that is your neighbour's.

If that particular congregation purports to follow Biblical principles, perhaps it is time to review one of the foundations of the Judeo-Christian tradition.

The sin for not following this commandment is called envy.

Trinty United, therefore, has thrown the Tenth Commandment under the bus. Liberation theology, as inspired by Marxist thought, is the politics of envy disguised in a cloak of legitimacy ... a sort of wolf in sheep's clothing.

Obama has the 'good ol boy' speaking method - he gives people the feeling that he is one of them and that he can help them handle any problems they AND he may have - I have seen Union big shots like Buzzie Hargove - use this 'tough' smooth, "I'm okay, you are okay" approach with the implication that the speaker (Buzzie/Obama Rama) is the adult in the room. An adult with affiliation for the people for whom he speaks.

As most union people with a brain to rattle know, the members of unions are cash cows and useful fools that bigshot union bosses use for their own ambitions. Obama is not aspiring to be a saint (as in the true believer) but the implication here is that 'he has a dream' for ALL the people (who belong to his 'club') and that he is the SPOKESMAN for all the martyred people in his audience. The halo is tongue-in-cheek, IMO, the implication being that Obama is taking the 'tough' road of reality to enable the 'would be saint' to conquer in Caesar's world, in the name of the many martyred souls in his audience.

Posted by: Jema54 at June 2, 2008 12:10 PM

That's a halo???? I thought he was baying at the moon!

MikeL may be right. Sometimes you have to elect a Carter in order to get a Reagan.

Posted by: Malcolm Cross at June 2, 2008 12:56 PM

"MikeL may be right. Sometimes you have to elect a Carter in order to get a Reagan."

I agree with Penny,Mike L yours is the winning strategy that Obama and Clinton propose in Iraq. We will never be able to convince Leftards, but, the majority of people in the middle who pay taxes are able to make good decisions. The prudent strategy is to stay the course and let the Dem's eat their own. The left has exposed themselves as no better than anyone else with respect to race and gender. Our responsibility is to stay focused and to continue to put forth the best candidates we can and let the wisdom of the electorate steer the ship.

Play'n

His supporters must yearn to call him "Reverend King". He's hoping to get the "King" part annexed to his name in November and leave the Reverend to his wife.

Posted by: Martin B. at June 2, 2008 3:17 PM

We have to start ordering our barf bags now so when Al Gore gives his endorsment we are prepared.

Posted by: bob at June 2, 2008 3:31 PM

What I find interesting is when a conservative is a Christian and goes to church, ie Harper, Bush ,etc they are made out to be religious nuts that are trying to turn us into a theocracy... BUT when a liberal does it ie. Obama its OK ,typical left wing double standard I guess.

If a conservative went to a radical church like Obamas we'd never hear the end of it.

Posted by: bob at June 2, 2008 3:45 PM

That is sick!

Posted by: mike in Ontario at June 2, 2008 3:59 PM

No, Obama sure isn't perfect.

But considering that his opponent is an albino geriatric dwarf continuing the policies of the most hated President in US history, he doesn't have to be, right?

Posted by: bolik at June 2, 2008 4:54 PM

I guess if you are white, and a senior you are not welcome in the party of diversity. You can cry about GWB all you want, but the back to back terms and his total vote in the 2nd speaks for itself. We all sleep with smiles on our mugs knowing that people like Bolik will be squirming in agony for the next 4.5 years. Open your eyes Bolik, the Dem's have thrown the towel in already. You know, the one that promises higher taxes, a weak foreign policy, amnesty for illegal's and "universal" healthcare.(not to mention scrapping NAFTA, bombing Pakistan)

Posted by: Play'nWitYoMomma at June 2, 2008 5:42 PM

Hey playwithmum

Bush is the one who wanted amnesty for illegals, chump!

Posted by: bolik at June 2, 2008 6:30 PM

bolik: You always sound angry.

Come for the debate-stay for the common sense.

Posted by: bob at June 2, 2008 7:16 PM

As a not-quite albino geriatric (8 yrs older than the McCain but I colour my hair), I believe that there is an element of jealousy in your remark. For one thing, you don't think for yourself and John does because your comment about him continuing Bush's policies is one of the left's mantras and you're repeating it solely for effect. John thinks and speaks for himself - always has.
And, I don't know what hangs onto your arm, but I doubt it's a tall blonde beauty whose income is $6 mil a yr.
By the way, prove to me in 10 yrs (I'll be the one at the gate) that Bush is the most hated president in US history. If Obama gets in, you ain't seen anything yet.

Posted by: gellen at June 2, 2008 8:43 PM

What is the point of that? Why don't the Dem's hail GWB? Boarder security and what to do with an estimated 20 million Illegal's will be a major issue in November. McCain may have flip flopped, but unlike Obama, McCain is now on the right side of the issue.

Like I have said before, you can kick and scream all you want, but you and your comrades have been "Punked".

Posted by: Indiana Homez at June 2, 2008 8:59 PM

don't you people get it yet? the media folks in charge of accompanying photos know this will be noticed.

they just want to get a rise out of you. have none of you ever whacked a paper wasp nest and run like hell just for the fun of it? are you too young and nervous still to have tried it? because that's the impression you give with all this 'outrage'.

Posted by: watchingthedetectives at June 2, 2008 11:49 PM

its like the ending of the movie "Ghost"

Barrack come to the white .

"they just want to get a rise out of you. have none of you ever whacked a paper wasp nest and run like hell just for the fun of it? are you too young and nervous still to have tried it? because that's the impression you give with all this 'outrage'."

Not outrage as much as mockery. You must be new here - variations of this type of childishness masquerading as news photography have been discussed before.

But thanks for confirming what we already knew - that the MSM tolerates juvenile little idiots in their editorial departments. An adult would throw out such a stunt for exactly what it is. But we're not dealing with adults - we're dealing with journalism.
