Hillier does receive good words from a wide variety of people. His recent public statements have been straight forward and I believe his assessment, that it will take 20 years to accomplish anything significant in Afghanistan is the most accurate statement made to date. Personally, I think he was being wonderfully optimistic.

I don't really think Beverley McLachlin is a big problem; of all the SCC justices, she gets the decisions right most of the time.
