We have a Chief Louie in the Kelowna area also. I do not know if he is related to the Osoyoos Chief, but seems to be doing a superb job as well.
Posted by: ron in kelowna at May 28, 2008 3:53 PMDear "Kate" u look so great on the hood of that car
U r from Saskatawan so I should not faun or be sad that u r not a blonde, or try to make this sound like Bonnie and Clyde.
Sorry, that was inspired from your previous article about the poll in Sk over the flag which I was not able able to comment.
So this is S.M.D and I have heard about you and some others who are being sued by what sounds to me like some "real winners". Wish you and those others well and really success.I'm still a little in the grey about what all the fuss is over,I'll do some more searching around.

Hmmm.
Hillier is a liberal fart catcher, according to the servicemen I know, and I happen to agree with that from what I have seen as a civilian. I look forward to seeing the last of him.
Kevin Newman is a talking head for the most part.
The rest of the list looks good though.
Posted by: Jim at May 28, 2008 4:22 PMJim, your talking out of your ass. Hillier is a soldier. He is not now nor has he ever been a politician.
The people who talk like that are the weak useless chaff, that flourished in the peacetime CF but who turned tail and ran, or couldn't make the grade once a shooting war started.
They love to blame Hillier for their lack of moral fibre.
Posted by: Zip at May 28, 2008 4:41 PMYeah, Jim's an idiot. I've been a CF member for a long time, and I've never heard even a single other member criticize Hillier. He's done a super job. The only one's I could imagine criticizing him are the lazy space-filler officers, and similar REMF's, who might either be jealous of his leadership style and popularity, or worried about holding down their jobs.
Posted by: Alex at May 28, 2008 5:06 PMby gosh Jim, I don't know "who" you were talking to BUT I know someone "WHO" has nothing but respect for his CDS.
Posted by: the bear at May 28, 2008 5:51 PMAn idiot? I suppose it would take one to know one. Actually I am a critical thinker, and as such, it takes more than a general sticking his nose up Paul Martin's arse to instill respect. Maybe he accomplished something at those endless tea parties with Adrienne Clarkson that I don't know about? Or maybe some idiots are more easily impressed than others.
If you fellas want to believe a sycophantic snivel servant (or an REMF in your parlance) is actually a respectable officer I suppose there is no harm in it. Knock yourselves out.
Posted by: Jim at May 28, 2008 6:40 PMHey, interesting list. I'll be readibng that this evening. Glad to see Chairman mo Striong is there. Now where is Louise Arbore?
Posted by: RW at May 28, 2008 7:38 PMHillier does receive good words from a wide variety of people. His recent public statements have been straight forward and I believe his assessment, that it will take 20 years to accomplish anything significant in Afghanistan is the most accurate statement made to date. Personally, I think he was being wonderfully optimistic.

"""""Hillier is a liberal fart catcher, according to the servicemen I know, and I happen to agree with that from what I have seen as a civilian."""""
sounds like you choose yer friends the reflect your own POV, must suck to be around such an ignorant group
Jim, as a tanker with 28 years in, all I can say is that you're an utter d*ck who has no clue. I can only guess the only servicemembers you've been talking to are the lame and lazy who are pissed off that Hillier is forcing them to soldier. You are no more a critical thinker than my dog. Walk a mile in our boots and then comment on the leadership - otherwise, STFU - civvie puke. Hillier is the best CDS in living memory, and I will personally kick the a$$ of any of my troops who says crap like you do in my hearing. Idiot....
Posted by: Tanker at May 28, 2008 9:53 PMWhat boys think vs what men think... tough one!!!! ... I'll go with the men. Sorry Jim.
Oh, BTW Jim, your sister might want her panties back.
Posted by: ural at May 29, 2008 12:04 AMI recollect Terry Fox's van has been refurbished and was in St. John's NF recently.
400 million for cancer research and still going.
Posted by: alberteinsteinlookalike at May 29, 2008 12:11 AMTankler I am about as impressed with you and your fanboys as I am with Hillier. He was a strutting, boastful idiot too. The military men I know are cut from better stuff, thankfully.
I am all for the removal of the old school Turdeau era 'Peacekeepers' and replacing them with fighting men. Putting Hillier out to pasture was a step in the right direction and if you don't like it you can go pound sand.
Maybe if you threaten me with a little more gusto over the internet you will frighten me into submission. Don't forget to thump your chest and question my honour! That'll learn me real good!
;)
Posted by: Jim at May 29, 2008 9:09 AMI think Louise Harbour retired did'nt she?
Another one missing for worst is Toronto's own baby: David Miller, pro union leftoid fat ass extraordinaire
Posted by: Grind a Grit at May 29, 2008 9:36 AMWho the f#$% is this Jim guy? And what does he know about anything army? Hillier a "liberal fart catcher"?
Oh man, I just wish these civvy retards would get just a little dirt in the treads of their combat boots......oh, stupid me, the useless f@#$s would cry if they had to do a ten miler, or lay down cover fire, or........forget about it.
VOTE REFORM!
GO ARMY!
Well...I don't agree with Kevin Newman being on the list. He's overtly biased and liberal. Yikes!!!!!
Posted by: Ingrid at May 29, 2008 2:54 PMI'm not big on Kevin Newman being on the "good" list, either, but each to his/her own.
Couldn't we get Michelle Lansberg, Stephen and Avi Lewis onto this list? I know, I know, Naomi Klein, Avi's wife, is on the list--being a moonbat moron is all in the family, it seems--but the Lansberg/Lewis Family has done more than their share of damage to the social/political fabric of Canada: between them: the UN, the TorStar, the CBC, Al-Jazeera.
Librano bona fide$, for sure.
Posted by: batb at May 30, 2008 7:24 AM'Should've written Librano/NDP bona fide$, for sure.
Posted by: batb at May 30, 2008 7:27 AMI don't really think Beverley McLachlin is a big problem; of all the SCC justices, she gets the decisions right most of the time. Rosalie Abella, on the other hand, who has shown a fondness for quoting the Stalinist bootlicker Lillian Hellman, is a monstrous problem. Probably the aforementioned Louise Arbour would be too, were she still on the Court.

I've always liked the term, 'meat puppet', myself.
