Raising The Dead

Is there nothing Obama can't do?

“On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today — our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.”

There's more! - "Alakazam! No more dead people."

If only it were that easy for Hillary.

Oh man, is that a whopper!

I'm sure the families of the fallen are delighted that their Lazarus like family members made it to Obama's speech.

But in Canada of course, we don't have messianic pretensions; when Canadians walk on water we make sure it is frozen to a depth of 30 cm and it usually involves chasing a puck.

Cheers

Sounds like Obama missed his calling - he should have been an understudy of Oral Roberts or Zeus! Dare I say it? Could it be that he is suffering from delusions of Grandeur?

The media will be all over this new claim - ridiculing Obama with brutal slurs for his beliefs in immortality and miracles.

Really reaching for this one, huh?

A few misspoken words and you guys try to go to town on it.

When that's all ya got, that's all you got!

You guys must be crappin' your pants!

Haw! Haw! Haw!

bolik

or is that bootlick

when bush missfires the leftards go into a frenzy

and bush is a dyslexic, maybe you can come up with a reason for the "majic kneegrows" gaffs, other than politicing to fools like you

Eh, not so surprising to hear this from a Chicago politician, he's used to counting on the votes of the dead.

Posted by: Dutch Canuck at May 27, 2008 6:07 AM

They made a movie once about people like this. A child kept seeing dead people . The name of the movie escapes but I'm sure it was based on a true story

A few misspoken words? People are compiling lists and websites, and the campaign has yet to begin.
When he first appeared on the scene i thought he would be a hard candidate to beat. I gain optimism with every day because when he starts to get questioned about his gaseous policies, there's just nothing there. Oh, I forgot, there's hope. And hope and change.

Raising the dead is no doubt what the Obama worshipers believe to be one of his powers.

Trolling the graveyards for votes isn't new either,it's a Liberal thing. Right up there with the brain free/brain dead voters who vote for them. When color of skin or gender become pros or cons to qualifications for top job it's gotta be downhill from there.

In case we need proof of the brain free/brain dead voting here in Canada, the meddlers in democracy known as pollsters, have the Liberals in this country tied with the Conservatives. Never mind we really have no idea what Dion has for policy on much of anything beyond garbled, marble mouthed, professorial musings.

We'll just have to listen to the Liberal Jackasses baying about the Bernier affair. He's resigned as he should but now he must be drawn and quartered.

One wonders just how many time he will "misspeak" if he ever gets a chance to sit down and talk to the enemy, G*d forbid!

In his fantasy world soldiers don't die.

Posted by: bluetech at May 27, 2008 8:16 AM

As Hugh Hewitt points out, probably the more disturbing thing about his speech is that it was all about the victims of war - nothing about the tremendous importance of what those sacrifices achieved. Jimmy Carter must be proud.

Posted by: Gord Tulk at May 27, 2008 8:54 AM

and, bolik, if you read the speech BO continues along the theme of the gaffe above by talking about the plight of those wounded in the current conflict and says very little about those who have died to protect his elitist ignorant ass.

Posted by: Gord Tulk at May 27, 2008 8:57 AM

That IS funny.

I suspect the reason Hillary is hanging in there is because she hopes that voters will realize this guy is an empty suit.

Posted by: Barbara at May 27, 2008 9:31 AM

Obama-isms?

Posted by: Griff at May 27, 2008 9:37 AM

The extra states that he visited must be those unknown before, namely Oklobama, Baclahoma, Balifornia, Obachussets and the one left out - Missbaraky.

Posted by: Aaron at May 27, 2008 10:26 AM

Obama's misguided policies, elitist attitude and empty rhetoric trouble me more than occasional dumb comments. Slips of the tongue are pretty normal for any person, even people who aren't campaigning 20 hours a day.

Gaffes are entertaining, but unless they're more serious I can't read too much into them and, generally speaking, I don't think it's fair to hold them against somebody.

Of course, it goes without saying that when Bush mangles a sentence the media is all over him, and liberals laugh and clap and point like mongoloids. But a double standard among the left is hardly a breaking news item.

Barbara .... "I suspect the reason Hillary is hanging in there is because she hopes that voters will realize this guy is an empty suit..."

I'm tempted to say something even less flattering about the Pantsuit Queen ..... but you did notice the Bobby Kennedy gaff... right?

They make quite a pair!

Did Kate create a topic when Mac couldn't get his Sunnis and Shiites(sp) straight...just trying to remember.
I am sure if she did there must have been quite a few of you guys posting and questioning his wisdom.

This stuff may be good for a chuckle but there are more than enough of these errors on both sides.

I sure pray Obama will not turn out to be America's Trudeau. Alas he bears all the same hallmarks as PET including his love for tyrannical monsters, naiveté, a plan to de-construct America into a socialist directed day care as PET put paid to English & French Canada by similar actions. Both are rich aristos who larked there way threw life. Now we are garnering the fruit of this dingbat, it may take years but the US will eventually as well. As the citizenry become stunned if not complacent under the blizzard of leftist legislation as Canadians did under PET when he de-rationalized this Country. Freedom of speech under attack. Insane laws. Am injustice system, instead of equality before the law with individual rights. Media bans, PC thought police. All the instrumentality of the would be Autocrat.

Hussein (or is it Insane?), also a pathological liar?

From LGF:

Obama: My Uncle Helped Liberate Auschwitz (Bzzt! Wrong!)

Is there a point at which the media will start calling Barack Obama out for his absolutely stunning lack of historical knowledge, and his willingness to lie at the drop of a hat? Obama Talks of Family’s Military Service.

Obama also spoke about his uncle, who was part of the American brigade that helped to liberate Auschwitz. He said the family legend is that, upon returning from war, his uncle spent six months in an attic. “Now obviously, something had really affected him deeply, but at that time there just weren’t the kinds of facilities to help somebody work through that kind of pain,” Obama said. “That’s why this idea of making sure that every single veteran, when they are discharged, are screened for post-traumatic stress disorder and given the mental health services that they need – that’s why it’s so important.”

Unless Obama’s uncle was fighting for the Soviet Army, I seriously doubt that he was in a brigade that liberated Auschwitz: The Liberation of Auschwitz.

The punch line for the sequel to The Sixth Sense staring Barak Obama:
"I see many dead people in the audience today."

Posted by: Play'nWitYoMomma at May 27, 2008 2:22 PM

sorry fractured, I didn't read your comment.

Posted by: Play'nWitYoMomma at May 27, 2008 2:30 PM

Then there is Hillary's "I see dead opponents" comment.

Posted by: moptop at May 28, 2008 10:08 AM

For the past eight years you have quietly ignored George Bush's mangling of the english language, the constitution of the United States, and that nation's reputation, and yet, Obama, already recognized as one of the country's finest orators makes a few mistakes, you lose your freakin' little minds.

If I were any of you, I would never speak on the subject of politics again.

If bringing up Robert Kennedy is so wrong, why is his picture on numerous magazines today and why is everyone bringing up the anniversary of his death.
