Larry, you give labour a bad name*...

Transcript, CTV-REGINA , Tuesday Apr.8 - SFL UNDER FIRE BY THE PROVINCIAL GOV'T FOR AD TAKING AIM AT THE GOV'T
MANFRED JOEHNCK (Anchor): The Saskatchewan Federation of Labour is under fire by the provincial government. This is what has the Province all worked up. It is an ad which takes aim at the government and its essential services legislation. The Province believes the ad is intolerant and is frightening especially to women. It refers to the gun sights and the two women within the borders.
The government says the ad is beyond poor taste.
KEN KRAWETZ (Deputy Premier): What I’m saying is that at a time when there was discussion about tolerance, that there was discussion about behaviour of individuals a long time ago and today an ad was printed that some people feel is frightening.
LARRY HUBICH (President, Saskatchewan Federation of Labour): The ad is in response to the government taking aim at workers’ legislation. It was designed by two women actually. So there is no gender issues with it at all. And the Premier I think has some credit in the development of the ad because it was he who said that this government was going to go to war with labour.
Big h/t to John Gormley Live.
"Hateful left-wing extremist" (last paragraph)
Good to see you finally, and as bluntly as I do so much myself, telling it like it is, Kate. I'm proud of you! :)
Posted by: The Canadian Sentinel at April 9, 2008 4:54 PMCall me sexist, but I thought the nurse on the left side of the ad was pretty hot.
Is it me, or does the dude with the goatee (near miss) look just a little middle Eastern? Somebody better call the Human Rights folks too cause I think there's a little subtle muslim targeting going on.
Posted by: MrPaulDecker at April 9, 2008 4:59 PMWow! I can believe the web blog Larry keeps. This is not what you'd expect from someone who claims to represent all of labour! His web site is about as left wing and political as it gets. I'm sure there are many non NDP types that are members of SFL that would be quite offended by Larry's blog.
Posted by: Gerald at April 9, 2008 5:15 PMLarry the Labour guy eh!
Posted by: Orlin at April 9, 2008 5:38 PMMost union members have no idea they are indirect members of the Saskatchewan Federation of Labour. They aren't given a choice.
Posted by: tuco at April 9, 2008 5:40 PMWell if two women designed it, it can't be sexist, because as all lefties know, all women think alike.
Posted by: chris at April 9, 2008 6:04 PM"It was designed by two women actually"
Oh! then they would know what they are talking about for sure.
The snake that would be King, is already nawing on its own tail. Causeing the same kindda rukus as them using their human rights Inquisition against them till its stupiditry is there for all to view. To simple. But then lots of brilliant plans or inventions are.
Too much to wish for seeing these whores get some of there own, in time & money wasted for nonesense or personel vengance.
Posted by: Revnant Dream at April 9, 2008 6:48 PMAs much as this ad is idiotic, childish and just plain stupid, I think it's a little over the top to claim that it promotes violence against women. Let's leave the hysterical proclamations of being "offended" to those of the left-wing persuasion. They are so much better at it.
Posted by: Biff at April 9, 2008 8:04 PMI forgot to add that Mr.Hubich has quite a history of idiocy, therefore, anything that he says or endorses should simply be dismissed as drivel.
When one becomes accustomed to having the government of the day firmly by the gonads, it must come as quite a shock to lose this privilege which might explain the lunatic behaviour.
Posted by: Biff at April 9, 2008 8:27 PMLarry (soon to be loser) works for me

ROFL
Funny how leftards really loathe the idea of firearms, except when they help drive home their idiotic philosphies and positions. Cretin's handgun attack ad in 2003 comes to mind.

Here we see Lefties ON THE ATTACK when the Sask party criticizes their add. An ad which is arguably more offensive than Mr. Likewski's fag comment last week, given that the add visually contends Sask Party would like to shoot "workers" and has them in their sights.
So, are you Sask Party DORKS learning anything yet? When they criticize you, ATTACK.
Jeez, what does it take to get through to you guys?
Posted by: The Phantom at April 9, 2008 9:21 PMThere is nothing more venal, snarling and vindictive than a government defunded socialist NGO.
Posted by: WL Mackenzie Redux at April 9, 2008 9:35 PMAwww, Sentinel's proud a' ya, Kate, following his lead and all, telling it like it is. You don't know where to begin cause there isn't any there there. Much ado about nothing. Better luck next time.
Posted by: manny at April 9, 2008 9:48 PMNews Flash!!!!
Humboldt Journal April 9, 2008 reports today Larry , the loser , was in Humboldt April 5 at a meeting organized by the Humboldt and District Labour Council. "Hubich said to the CROWD of about 20 people" This is the third forum I've attended and I hoped to see a couple of Sask Party MLAs here to discuss the bill."
"According to Brian Barnes, the Humboldt and District Labour president (and unsuccessful candidate for the NDP in 2 elections) the HDLC represents 2000 workers with an hour,s radius
of Humboldt."
Sounds to me like ( 2000 divided by 20) 0.01% of the union members in Saskatchewan are really ticked off about this legislation. Go Larry Go!!!!!!!!!
Posted by: Nicko at April 9, 2008 9:48 PMJust to be a little anal retentive, i feel i simply must correct the above math. While 20 divided by 2000 does equal 0.01, in percentage terms that equals 1%.
Sorry Nicko, i'm a little O/C with the numbers.
As you were... :)
What kind of construction worker would wear a watch like the guy on the left has on?
Lots of good answers.....a non working union one........a fake photo op one.....how about a union executive posing for the pic?
Posted by: jeff k at April 9, 2008 10:43 PMGood job Bryan! Shows how trusting calculators can lead to joining the brain dead.
ob Bryan! thats how calculators annihulate common sense
Posted by: nicko at April 9, 2008 10:48 PMI belive the popular vote was 54% or better in the last election, so that make's the people of the province in charge not the union. so it's not the goverment going to war with labour. It's the union going to war with the people of sask. go for it, with this arragont fool who think's he run's the province like when the ndp was in charge. your support will be nil.
Posted by: royalist at April 9, 2008 11:15 PMQuite clear who the "target" audience is. Scope was centered on the heart, not the brain. Demeaning of women, is what I see.
Posted by: Shaken at April 9, 2008 11:27 PMWell...they could just move the cross-hairs over a little so that the gun was aimed at one of the men. (we're the "more shootable" of the two sexes apparently). Or, we could just take a deep breath and stop making a mountain out of a molehill like the damned lefties always do. C'mon guys, let's not stoop to finding inappropriateness in every little thing or we're no better than they are.
Posted by: Lorne at April 9, 2008 11:39 PMWhat makes me laugh, is that there are 5 people in the ad and the lone white guy isn't even real.
He's just a cartoon cutout while the representatives of the NDP identity voting pool are the real people.
I don't think Brad Wall would have a problem with the ad if gays were the "target" Either would Tom Lukiwski.
On that little conservative video, there is more harmful hate towards women, than this ad. But Kate doesn't complain about that, because that would make conservatives look bad.
So Tim, a little hate's ok as long as its the NDP doing it?
You people amaze me sometimes.
Posted by: The Phantom at April 10, 2008 8:27 AMI wonder if the NDP server 42 Below Vodka at their socials?
http://www.nodemocraticprocess.com
Posted by: MrPaulDecker at April 10, 2008 9:29 AMThe amazing thing is that anyone is surprised by this little piece of lefty propaganda!
Actually OMMAG, the thing that amazes me is that gays and working people still think the NDP is on their side. How many years of no results does it take before you finally ask, "Are you guys even TRYING to get this working?"
Posted by: The Phantom at April 10, 2008 12:51 PMI agree; why is the gunsight targeting women and the visible minority?
Is this some subliminal violence against women propaganda, or anti-gun propaganda?
Posted by: grok at April 11, 2008 2:11 PMA picture is worth a thousand words.
