I was going to bid but then realized I wouldn't give a buck for either Jean or Warren. Good one Kate.
Posted by: Peter at April 1, 2008 12:07 AMha ha ha very very funny!!!
Posted by: Gord Tulk at April 1, 2008 12:28 AMha ha, it's listed as a comic, obviously the target audience is "picture driven" and not capable of understanding the "written word".
Posted by: the bear at April 1, 2008 12:29 AMhahahahahahahahaha
you are going to drive him over the edge, making fun of his little icon.
Posted by: Honey Pot at April 1, 2008 12:32 AMLOL hahahhahahah!
Posted by: huffb1 at April 1, 2008 12:38 AMThe length of that chapter is about as long as little Wornouts tiny little wan.......
Posted by: Doug at April 1, 2008 12:39 AMWarren deserves this treatment after writing the worst Stephane Dion apologist column I have ever seen. It's posted at his Blog, in top ten format, if you must know. It was featured at National Newswatch yesterday for reasons which could only be attributed to Liberal media bias. Liberals are taking a pounding in Quebec, and today's demotion of Denis Coderre was yet another misstep by Dion. Kinsella tries to make a case for Dion in the MSM, but comments at his site indicate his complete failure...heh....
Posted by: Kevin F. at April 1, 2008 12:41 AMNo need for the Lost Chapter - I call it the Gomery Report.
Posted by: Ace at April 1, 2008 12:46 AMI hope that Wornout Kinsella doesn't haul you to Kangaroo Kourt on a Section 13 for "hurt feelings"!
Posted by: aek at April 1, 2008 12:54 AMI wanted to bid, but the starting price is exorbitantly high.
Posted by: Alienated at April 1, 2008 1:03 AMQuite possible aek, from that look of wornouts over at the [we hate harper newswatch] you know that deep as a summer mud puddle look that the loser hides behind, he might be plotting another lawsuit, or maybe he just can't remember where he stashed his part of the lieberal plunder of the public treasury by his stinking theiving boss and his band of crooks.
Posted by: bartinsky at April 1, 2008 1:06 AMYou might do better getting people to bid on the piece of oak used for the background.
Posted by: Tim at April 1, 2008 1:50 AMAnd a happy April 1 to all!
Check it out again peter.The seller is katewerk.Ummmmmmmm.
Beautiful one Kate.
I'm wondering, does this lost chapter include his admission that he truly is a criminal and should be behind bars...nahhh, didn't think so.
Posted by: Daverbonz at April 1, 2008 8:06 AMI see from his website that Warren is going to seek the Liberal nomination in Beaches East York. Is it true or an April Fool's Day joke....actually it would be a joke even if it's true.
Posted by: PGS at April 1, 2008 8:15 AMThis, and Dryden going back to the Leafs! The Libs just leave themselves open to too many April Fools jokes.Maybe today Dion will foolishly threaten to 'take down Harper'...oh wait..
Posted by: bluetech at April 1, 2008 8:35 AMI'm 99.2% sure this is a hoax.
Posted by: Richard Ball at April 1, 2008 8:35 AMI think that Jean Chretien was the best Prime Minister we ever had. We should bring him back to replace Stephane Dion to regain Canada's past glory under Liberal leadership.....
April Fool's!
Posted by: Earl the Pearl at April 1, 2008 8:36 AMNice one Kate.
bluetec, I also read about Dryden joining the Leafs. It has to be an April Fools joke. Even the Leafs couldn't be that stupid.
I asked the question "Give me 2 major accomplishments Chretien achieved in his 13 years as PM " of a Liberal blog.
Here was one poster's response;
Clarity Act;
Won a referendum;
From 50 Billion Deficit to Surplus;
Keeping us out of the quagmire in Iraq;
Awesome Economic Growth (It's the economy stupid);
Paid off 36 Billion in Debt;
Tax Cuts of over 100 Billion;
Youth Criminal Justice Act;
Canada's involvement in Kosovo stopping a genocide.
Pretty pathetic.
Clarity Act - Harper and Manning designed it
Won a referendum - William Johnson wrote "This was the most significant challenge to Mr. Chrétien in the decade he led the country. He failed the test, miserably. Only luck saved him and the country."
From 50 Billion Deficit to Surplus - was done by causing severe hardship for the provinces by cutting their required transfer payments. Ontario, not a nickle for the billion dollar federal cost of SARS.
And on and on.
As political pundits, save Wornout, have stated, he was the worst Prime Minister we have seen. A little thug enjoying the trappings of this office and taking on few of its responsibilities.
The LOST CHAPTER, not quite, you mean THE LOST CASH
Posted by: dj at April 1, 2008 9:13 AMThe elimination of the deficit was Paul Martin's accomplishment, for which we should always be grateful -- he pulled the country back from the Liberal deficits brink.
Egged on, of course, and provided political cover, by Canada's greatest 20th cc. politician --Preston Manning.

Posted by: Richard Ball at April 1, 2008 9:19 AMIt appears the point being made here is a little too subtle for some of you... LOL
Posted by: Kate at April 1, 2008 9:40 AMAnd then there's kinsellas "joke' of running for a provincial seat.
Maybe Chretien will work the phones for him.
Haven't read the book...Kate are you telling us the Kinsella was totally left out of the book?
Ha!
Good thing you found those missing three pages or e-bay would be holding their first dutch auction.
Posted by: Joe at April 1, 2008 10:10 AMMy source tells me that other working title of the chapter was "Ass Kicked To The Curb In Canadian Politics"
I wouldn't read any drivel that glorifies Liberals. So i have to ask, no mention of Mr. Kinsella in the whole book?
Posted by: Paul at April 1, 2008 10:25 AMI thought it read "The Last Chapter"
My hopes were raised that we would get to see Micheal Ironside kickin Cretin butt!
Posted by: Jim at April 1, 2008 10:30 AMDa proof is da spoof.
Posted by: Bernie at April 1, 2008 10:42 AMHappy April Fools day everyone!
Don't know about the LOST chapter in the book but the LAST chapter hasn't been written on Frere Jean.
We have lots of examples of real fools in the LPC today under Dion. It's no surprise Dion has given his king maker Kennedy a posting even though he's not an MP but to demote his Defence "expert" Coderre, now that's just plain foolish.
Posted by: Liz J at April 1, 2008 10:47 AMKate, you really DO have a thing for Kinsella! You sure write about him a lot.
You saw that Chretien wrote the foreword to Kinsella's latest book, didn't you? And that Harper contributed a blurb?
You're jealous, Kate, and its showing!!!
Posted by: smartconnect at April 1, 2008 11:54 AMTrudeau initiated the deficit and Mulroney put in place the method of eliminating it with the GST.Paul Martin was the finance minister when great gobs of money came in with the GST.An idiot could and did eliminate the deficit with GST money.
Posted by: spike 1 at April 1, 2008 11:55 AMI see that smartconnect just put up another April fools joke.
Posted by: spike 1 at April 1, 2008 11:57 AM4 bids have raised the price to 2.31 US.
I love the smell of burned "Liberal Strategist" in the morning...
Does the last chapter connect any dots to stuffed brown envelopes?
Posted by: Joe Molnar at April 1, 2008 1:14 PMChretien looks a whole lot like D.B. Cooper, no?
Posted by: iggy at April 1, 2008 1:14 PMRe: "On The Matter of the Disposable Errand Boy"
The complete absence of any reference to Kinsella in Jean Chretien's memoirs has to be a printing mistake or an editor's oversight. There's no way that a prime minister could write a book about his years in power and not mention, even once, his valued advisor and right-hand-man. There's not even a hint that one of the other people mentioned repeatedly in the book had ever, even once, made even a veiled reference to Kinsella. How could that happen?
You'd think that such an oversight would be humiliating for Jean Chretien, and yet he seems perfectly fine, relaxed even.
Posted by: EBD at April 1, 2008 2:19 PMWarren Kinsella writes the perfect April FOOL, from his blog:
"After a lot of deliberation, and after a lot of consultation with friends and family, I am delighted to let you know that I have decided to seek the Ontario Liberal Party nomination in our riding of Beaches East York in the upcoming election."
Can't you see the election advertising:
"VOTE LIEBERAL ALL YOU SONS OF BEACHES!!"

Posted by: Hans Rupprecht at April 1, 2008 8:43 PMWarren was the machaviellia in Chretien's war room. I was the fool who phoned his office several times pleading for a senate appointment.We both got the same amount of ink. Way to go JC.
Posted by: wallyj at April 1, 2008 11:39 PMSurprisingly, I got the same mention in cretin's book ... didn't have to pick up the dry cleaning though.
