A crude tool for teaching students to hate Israel
Frank Dimant, National Post Published: Friday, March 28, 2008
Take a gander at this article on a ruse by a seemingly educational contest for Jew hating being approved, or so it seems according to the National Post article. If true, this is an ugly chapter of back door Jew bashing. The real kind not the CHR boards definition.
GEE where are the thought police when some alleged Jew hating Muslims around. Yup, hiding. There is no profit in badgering people who may hurt you for real. No political win in that either.
These kind of moves remind me of a 5th column, not new citizens.

Conservatives give more to charity than liberals do. This topic has come up before, but I appreciated this Washington Post article's theory that liberals think "political" activity for their pet causes makes up for actual (e.g.: Salvation-Army-actual) work on behalf of the underprivileged.
"In 2000, brows were furrowed in perplexity because Vice President Al Gore's charitable contributions, as a percentage of his income, were below the national average: He gave 0.2 percent of his family income, one-seventh of the average for donating households. But Gore "gave at the office." By using public office to give other peoples' money to government programs, he was being charitable, as liberals increasingly, and conveniently, understand that word."

I think it is important that we are seeing more and more of a critical reaction to Islam and Islamism from the West than ever before.
Each time, it will be met with rage and anger, death threats and actual violence, deaths and attempts of repression within the Islamic community, but, that rage and anger is lessening as the West continues its criticism and refusal to submit.
We've seen the pol8itical cartoons and their aftermath of violence, Theo Van Gogh's murder, other violence, but, as the criticism - in films, in political cartoons, in verbal analysis, continues, Islam is starting to realize that it can't operate in a self-defined cocoon. Other people exist; and other people think differently.
It's important to keep it up. Now, what is happening, is two things. The political infrastructure of Islam, which is tribalism, is starting to crack; what we are now seeing more and more, is internal tribal warfare for control. The population is too large for this, and tribalism will collapse.
But, the West has to keep insisting on democracy, the rule of law, and human rights - or, those nations can't participate in the global economy.
Next, because the West is confronting and questioning the basic axioms of Islam - an astonishing experience for a Muslim who would never do that in his own life - we are seeing that Muslims are also questioning and confronting their basic axioms. That's a first time experience, and it will increase.
The focal points are - democracy in the ME, and above all, rejecting multicultural relativism in the West. Islamic axioms must be opened, questioned, debated, by the Muslims in the West. Otherwise, the West runs the danger of establishing isolated sects of fundamentalist Islam in the West, vicious and violent because they are decontextualized and not subject to 'cooling' by local realities. The West has to keep questioning, rejecting cultural relativism, insisting on 'no special treatment', on integration, on the rule of law, on equality..etc.

Burleigh builds a most formidable case by the (nowadays) almost revolutionary academic expedient of allowing the facts to speak for themselves. He does not analyse the various ideologies of the many terrorist causes he itemises; he chooses instead to relate what these terrorists did and the reaction they provoked, in order to show that terrorism has certain universal characteristics. First, all terrorism, without exception, is unequivocally morally unconscionable... And second, all terrorists are ‘morally insane without being clinically psychotic’...

Cons and independents (like me) call politicians on their lies and bull, and the soothing balm of lines like: 'hey, calm down, show patience, it'll come', or 'look, they're just setting the stage for when they can really do their thing'.
That's straight-out bull.
Whether the fact that federal spending is up 17% over 3 Con budgets, or that $19 billion a year in tax dollars are still being shoveled out in corporate welfare ever year, the fact is the Cons are governing very much like Libranos. It's one reason why the Libs aren't hitting the red-button. And that's why the Cons are called on it.

Tartan Day, first declared by a 1998 resolution sponsored by Senator Trent Lott, celebrates its 10th anniversary on April 6. The day is meant to commemorate the signing on April 6, 1320, of the Declaration of Arbroath, frequently called the Scottish declaration of independence. It was a letter from supporters of Robert the Bruce to the Pope, seeking papal recognition of Scotland. According to Senator Lott's resolution, the Declaration of Arbroath was an influence on the signers of the American Declaration of Independence. It was a radical 14th Century document that introduced principles such as the king's responsibility to serve the people and the people's right to replace him should he become tyrannical.

"PM in Quebec to mark land claims agreement
By THE CANADIAN PRESS
KUUJJUAQ, Que. - Prime Minister Stephen Harper could end up with a northern Quebec island named after him, following a land claim deal with the Inuit of the area.
He's in this tiny, isolated village to meet local elders to discuss the agreement, which was given royal assent last month.
One of them, Pita Aatami, says there are a number of islands included in the land settlement and hinted one might end up named for the prime minister.
The deal provides a civic government for top third of Quebec, a chunk of land the size of Western Europe." ...-

"Tories hit mark on land claims
Fifty-four settlements resolved after public servants given target last year
OTTAWA — The Conservative government resolved a record number of native land-claim disputes this year in a bid to improve relations with Canada's aboriginals and spur economic development on reserves.
Former Indian Affairs minister Jim Prentice caused a stir in his department last year when he quietly ordered public servants to conclude at least 50 specific land-claim disputes for the fiscal year ending Monday.
Meeting that target was left to his successor, Chuck Strahl, who confirmed yesterday that 54 claims have been resolved, of which 37 involved financial settlements."

Yes , I am always in awe of the complete trunk full of intolerance, or the complete lack of any objectivity of those chosen ones of academia, who have been entrusted with our cultures repository of knowledge . All Pharaohs the God kings, & no Mister Smiths goes to Washington there.
Education is their form of accent ion bringing them to a higher understanding of humanity. Making them giants of intellect in the process. Humility is a vice in these circles. Particularly who have sucked the teat of University anon. The Non-University types. Who are considered just this side of the caveman by this bunch.
In honesty these folks are so out of touch with reality, dropping LSD would be a brief interval of semi-reality to these Ideological whores, that haunt such establishments in perpetually.
More human conceit disguised as light bearing veracity.

Is it bad for Dion when the media runs a story about how the Official opposition MP's have voted on average in only 2/3 of the votes taken in parliament?
Or that they opposed the (evil rightwingers) in only around 20-25% of the votes recorded?
I thought they didn't like the tory agenda....

Mo Strong and Paul Martin are likely behind this. Our streets are already awash in various motorbikes made in China.

Posted by: Tewchip at March 29, 2008 10:20 AMShut down trucking in America on April the first?
Trucker Dan*s Open Letter. . .
The reason for this shutdown is not to hurt this country in any way shape or form. But is in fact a peaceful method of sending a message to Washington, D.C. That we do indeed need help & our industry is the backbone of life in America as we know it.
The why of it covers issues that you & I as truckers, both O/Os & Co. drivers face on a daily basis. These problems range from excessive Regulations ie., Fuel, Federal & State Fuel tax's, excessive DOT regulations on NON-SAFETY related items, Excessive Insurance Pre., The list goes on & on.
The when of it, is APRIL 1st, 2008 {see www.uscattlehaulers.com } I & several others picked that date for a reason. April 1,2008 is Aprils Fools Day, that being said, we as an industry are going to send a Strong message to the otherwise FOOLS in Washington, D.C. that *enough is enough*
