Just listened to the Beltway Boys and while they mentioned it, they didn't have this piece of information obviously. One can only hope.

I suspect this one's going to end up as a "human interest" story. On the one hand it's wrong for employees to be accessing that type of information inappropriately and yes, they should be disciplined. On the other hand I'm hard pressed to imagine what kind of politically damning information one could glean from a passport application. They'd certainly strike out on mine (previous employment: -- biggoted, racist hatemonger working for the vast right wing conspiracy? -- not!; passport guarantor: physician, professional engineer, pastor, exalted cyclops??? -- not b*%$$@y likely). I suspect this will turn out to be a couple of employees indulging a slightly childish sense of fascination with being able to access "celebrity" information. But it's still wrong.

According to the comments at the G&M forum on the passport article yesterday, by my count nearly half of all posters thought this had Cheney's "fingers all over it." I don't expect the G&M to report on this new tidbit. It would defeat the purpose of trying to demonize the Bush administration even moreso. Mission accomplished.

As a side dish, I see Gloria Galloway has another article over there about the Cons squirming over the EI recommendations with regards to maternity leave. Isn't she married to Liberal strategist Mark Dunn? Too bad she wasn't true to her profession and report real stories instead those that earn her brownie points with her hubby. So much for journalistic integrity eh? And no I'm not surprised.

It must be Bush's fault for this passport problem. Every Dimiocrate knows that. In Peach and apple him. I am sure his carbon print is all over this. it's sooo-o--o hard to get good help in the White House these days.

Nothing turned up. OK, that*s good, and this seems no more than a snooping nuisance.

Had something IMPORTANT been uncovered, would this then become a Whistleblower*s bonanaza complete with decorated heros? = TG

Funny how this has taken the pressure off Obama about his relationship with his Minister. A timely leak.

It appears liberals all work from the same book. Diversion, diversion, diversion. If that doesn't work, make up scandals, and failing that, lie!

With all due respect to privacy and all that stuff...but I don't care who breached his passport file. And as a potential President, wouldn't you want to know if the person was in an Al-Qaida training camp??? Just a thought.

That is a British "Class" System requirement! (Special for the Colonies) A US citizen vouches for themselves.
