The only dated item is the mention of the emebezlement by King Fahd....not sure when that story broke but it is a few years ago. There is no mention of recent Iraq events, let alone the death of Benazir Bhutto (who you think would have warranted some Mosque Lady superior dancing from this guy). Even if he were alive it would be in their interest to keep it under some mystery...adds to the aura. Maybe it is one of his sons, that voice sounds quite young. I know I sound similar to my father and brothers.

I wonder if he has ever actually listened to what his speech writers are putting on paper for him to say. When I read this (unfortunately, arabic isn't my first language), I can imagine, but for the snarky little comment about the cartoons, that all of this is coming from a speech in which Bush is showing the US's resolve to capture or kill the little rodents responsible for New York, London, Madrid, and all other terrorist acts.

So insulting the prophet is more outside the "rules of war" than exploding oneself in a crowded nighclub with a backpack full of nails.

Honestly, if all Al Queda promised to do was hurl insults at us about hockey, beer and stomp on the flag, maybe throw in some insults about our mothers and questionable lineage and never blow anything up then I would take that deal.

So onward we push doing what sadly needs to be done and if that means Osama's romantic dream, of a united Ummah living in pre modern pastoral "bliss" under the beneficent tent of an Islamic constitution interpreted by a wise sheik such as himself, gets interrupted and his youth end up watching rap videos and his daughters wear minskirts and text message sexually explicit messages to their boyfriends then so be it.
