In case you haven't seen it, c/o Celestial Junk, a wonderful article on global warming hoax. It summarizes how CO2 cannot be a significant actor in the greenhouse effect, how therefore man is not the culprit, how the sun is likely involved, etc., etc.. Very well done.

Dion uses horrible judgment in this round of by elections.

Obama used bad judgment when sold his white grandmother down the river to appease his racist Negro supporters.

Dion sold his grandmother down the river to appease his friend Elizabeth May.

I believe Dion's grandmother was a green woman in fact I head she was a Frog.

A few comments to start the day:

1. Speaking of Caledonia, the number of drive-thru smoke shacks on the Deseronto reserve have increased again(I drove through there yesterday). As well, they have started construction of a new cigarette factory(nice to see chimpy mcliar is getting a handle on this). Considering that over half of the smokes sold in Ontario are contraband, you would think the useless libs would do SOMETHING about it.

2. More plant closures in eastern Ontario. Brockville is the latest victim, and there seems to be no end in sight. It is nice to know that dalton mcuseless is putting his energy into studying polar bears, or hiring AGW police to harass his own gov't agencies. Talk about a useless piece of s@#$!

CSP Decision Brief, The New Dhimmi Times

Totalitarians have an uncanny appreciation for the subversive effect of foreign propagandists. The Nazis had Lord Haw-Haw, Imperial Japan its Tokyo Rose, the Soviets the World Council of Churches (among many others) and the North Vietnamese Jane Fonda. Now, our time's totalitarian ideologues - the Islamofascists - have the New York Times...

The New York Times marked a deplorable new milestone this weekend, however - a true nadir in collaborating with the enemy in the War of Ideas. Its Sunday magazine featured an article by Harvard law professor Noah Feldman entitled "Why Shariah? Millions of Muslims think Shariah means the rule of law. Could they be right?" According to the Times' Mr. Feldman, the answer is a resounding "Yes."

Both slithering and dithering:

Dean Barnett, Obama the Ditherer

THE QUESTION of the day is how Obama fared with his major address... For the twin purposes of brevity and avoiding arguing over meaningless topics, I'll stipulate that Obama gave a lovely statement on racial matters.

In doing so, Obama brilliantly answered a question that virtually no one is asking. With the country's attitude floating somewhere between grave concern and panic over the economy, Barack Obama has positioned himself as the candidate of racial reconciliation. With the body politic bitterly divided over the war in Iraq, Barack Obama has adopted racial reconciliation as his signature issue...

BOB MACKIE WILL CONTINUE TO DO WHAT IS RIGHT!

"Justice for Bob MacKie Day"

On March 21, "Good Friday", Bob MacKie will host an archery tournament of celebration at Mackie's Mountain Archery, 3922 Zimmerman Rd., Beamsville from 9am - 5pm. that will be a fund raiser for the "Brain Injury Community Re-Entry Program" Bob is celebrating the indefinite continuation of his archery training business despite the Niagara Escarpment Commission's ruling against his business.
The Niagara Escarpment Commission voted "NO" to allowing Bob MacKie to continue to operate his archery training business on November 15, 2007. The NEC said that "archery" was not mentioned in their Official Plan as an allowed use on "agricultural land". They gave him 120 days to "STOP" doing archery. March 19th was the 120th day and Bob intends to carry on with archery training.

He has the full support of the Ontario Landowners Association and its members from across Ontario. Bob's archery training is a much appreciated service that his community supports. The OLA will be declaring that "archery is a permitted use of agricultural land in the Niagara Region". The law of "natural justice" determines that what Bob is doing "is right"!

1.00 P.M. there will be speeches from members of the community and the Ontario Landowners Association in support of Bob MacKie.

Seeking to preserve our rural identities, traditions, security, prosperity and the fundamental principles of natural justice

bobsuruncle: "In case you haven't seen it, c/o Celestial Junk, a wonderful article on global warming hoax." -- Yes, good article. Response of the warmists and MSM: "nah, nah, nah, nah -- we can't hear you." There are many, many thoughtful and informative critiques that challange the theory of AGW. I also agree that it is spooky how whole nations have climbed on board the hysteria (as noted in the editor's introduction to the article). The problem is no one is paying attention to the truth. They are too caught up in their own rhetoric and emotional fury. Not much to be done, I am afraid, if people refuse to become enlighted or even exercise a modicum of objectivity. Goodness knows how future generations will view all of this as they struggle with the new ice age.

Caroline Glick, The Quality of Obama's Character

...Obama’s speech about race and his pastor Jeremiah White... was an excellent speech as far as it goes. But it left me feeling very uneasy about the quality of Obama’s character...

In twenty years of attending Wright’s church, why didn’t Obama once stand before his fellow church members and tell them that they mustn’t hate their country and their fellow Americans?

The fact that he didn’t, and the fact that he upheld this man until just a few months ago as his spiritual mentor and still refuses to condemn him and his deeply flawed character tells me everything I need to know about Barack Obama. I think that he is an opportunistic, weak man. I hope and pray that he doesn’t become President.

The police think Morton Downey Jr. is making up the story about being attacked by three "skinheads" in a rest room at the San Francisco International Airport.

The loudmouthed TV talk show host told airport police the right-wing thugs pounced on him, cut out a clump of his hair and painted swastikas on his face, shirt and pants.

Airport authorities found a pair of scissors and a felt-tip marker pen in a toilet bowl, but officers said an unidentified witness told them the claim was phony.

"Obama will stir the 'Melting Pot' into a better 'Molten America,'" states an endorsement from the New Black Panther Party, or NBPP, which is a registered team member and blogger on Obama's "MyObama" campaign website.

Obama's Racist Church and it's poisoned "Afrocentric" hate:

http://article.nationalreview.com/print/?q=NjZkMmI1ODIwZTgxMWQzZDg3YTM4ODk0ZTEzMjhhOWQ=

"Afrocentrism is no more a reflection of authentic African culture than white supremacy is of American culture. Nor is Afrocentrism merely about black pride — though Afrocentric “scholars” do frequently claim that Moses, Jesus, Cicero, Cleopatra, and a host of other luminaries were black.

At its heart, Afrocentrism is based on a profoundly anti-white and paranoid ideology. First, it asserts that the entire foundation of Western Civilization was stolen by the Greeks from Egypt, which, Afrocentrics claim, was ruled by ancient blacks. Second, it claims that whites are deeply inferior. Afrocentric texts often describe whites as “ice people,” whose defective melanin, or skin pigmentation, makes them susceptible to a host of mental and physical deficiencies, including sexual deviancy. And, finally, Afrocentrism encourages blacks to fear whites."

Nothing to see here, folks, move along...

Via Tim Blair:

http://environmentalrepublican.blogspot.com/2008/03/global-warmingists-perplexed.html

Check out how this little bit of anti-global warming science is spun:

------------------------------------------------
Some 3,000 scientific robots that are plying the ocean have sent home a puzzling message. These diving instruments suggest that the oceans have not warmed up at all over the past four or five years. That could mean global warming has taken a breather. Or it could mean scientists aren't quite understanding what their robots are telling them.
------------------------------------------------

Got that? The message is "puzzling" because it gives them data that doesn't support their collective global warming theories. Either global warming has taken a "breather" or the scientists are just too damn stupid to figure out how to make the data more conducive to NPR reporting about the escalation of global warming.

I almost threw up when I saw Seamus interviewing the mother of Brenda Martin on Canada AM this morning. I flip on the TV and there she is wailing "Don't use my daughter as a photo-op, Mr. Harper"

Then I read this article:

http://www.canada.com/topics/news/story.html?id=141501b9-3f3f-4ca7-8fbb-c53fb50d536c&k=41856

Excerpt:

A trip by two Conservative MPs to Mexico to visit a Canadian woman who's been imprisoned without trial for two years is being slammed by her supporters as manipulative and cynical political grandstanding.

"This is absolutely disgusting," said Deb Tieleman, a childhood friend of Brenda Martin who has led the campaign to win the release of the 51-year-old Trenton, Ont., native.

"You would have thought that the Conservative government would have the common decency and empathy not to send them down there for a photo opportunity."
...
Martin's mother, Marjorie Bletcher, said that had Norlock called her before he went on the trip, she would have told him not to go because Brenda Martin does not want to see him.

So apparently, the prisoner, and her mother don't want the Canadian government to interfere, or get involved, because they are concerned it might be a photo op.

Let her rot I say. If you are more concerned that this might be a photo-op than a legitimate attempt to get her out of jail, then just let her rot. Obviously nothing the government will do is good enough for you.

For some reason though, I think that a Canadian imprisoned in Mexico wouldn't tell an MP that they shouldn't visit because they thought they MP was just trying to get press. After all, 90% of international diplomacy is public opinion, and media coverage of your situation will do just as much to influence opposing parties as the backroom negotiations.

Watching the interview, I got the idea that someone had convinced the mother that Harper was doing all this as a photo-op, and she should tell him off...then when she broke down on air they looked embarrassed. I would not be surprised.

I blocked CTV from my cable box right after the interview.

mecheng -- Yeah -- I did not see the CTV thing, but was quite puzzled by an article in the Citizen where one of Brenda Martin's supporters said essentially the same thing -- totally weird and counter productive. Funny . . . I did not see any of this same commentary when Paul Martin was visiting. Well -- watch for Brenda Martin's mother to be a Liberal candidate in the next election. Seriously, though, it does seem to me that she is being seriously manipulated and taken advantage of for someones (?) political gain. I (for one) haven't seen any photos of the Canadian reps (Kenny and the other guy) -- not much of a photo op -- and when I first saw that Kenny was going I thought -- finally someone will do something. Why would Brenda Martin supporters (or even Liberal supporters) want to sabatage this?

Canada.com published poll results that say 4 out of 5 people surveyed said they knew what was causing global warming, yet "strangely" only 38% could "correctly" identify that it was the result of carbon dioxide produced by human activities.

Hmmmm...maybe they are looking at those results the wrong way around. Maybe they should have concluded that the majority of people surveyed CORRECTLY realized that carbon dioxide ISN'T the cause of global warming...but instead its the fault of that great glowing ball of fire in the sky.

More on Maurice Strong - Bob Rae's "Uncle" Mo:

Monday, December 2, 2002
Kyoto Protocol compiled by un-elected global bureaucrats
Ezra Levant

THE Kyoto Protocol was the work of thousands of bureaucrats, diplomats and politicians. But no one person is more responsible for it than a Canadian named Maurice Strong.

Strong organized the UN first-world environmental summit in Stockholm in 1972 and has never stopped pressing for a world where UN resolutions would be enforced as law all over the Earth.

Strong went on to chair the 1992 UN Conference on Environment and Development in Rio and to become senior adviser to Kofi Annan, the UN's secretary general. Not bad for a kid from Oak Lake, Manitoba, who dropped out of school at age 14.

But Strong is different than other social butterflies who flit from one UN conference to the next. He is a powerful businessman, who has served as president of such massive energy companies as Petro-Canada and Ontario Hydro, and on the board of industrial giant Toyota.

He is a huge political donor, not just here in Canada, but to both the Republican and Democratic parties in the U.S. as well.

At age 29, he became president of Power Corporation, fusing his destiny to Canada's wealthiest and most influential families - including Paul Martin Sr. and Jr., now heir apparent to the prime minister.

Strong hired Paul Jr. to work for him during a vacation from university. "We controlled many companies, controlled political budgets," Strong said of his time at Power Corporation. "Politicians got to know you and you them."

Strong hired Martin into Power Corporation's executive suite. He helped guide Martin towards unimaginable personal wealth - and even predicted Martin's path to becoming prime minister. But Strong's influence reaches farther than Canada.

The US based Fox News had no qualms reporting about what they call the "murky" career of Maurice Strong - but why does our Canadian media keep us in the dark about a Canadian who is purported to be one of the shadiest characters in the world of international scams and fraud:

Who pulls the strings of Canada's media and who is really behind forbidding Canada to have Fox News?

At the United Nations, the Curious Career of Maurice Strong

Agreed, lmf, once you begin to untangle the web of power entanglements and circles within circles Maurice Strong is involved in/connected to, on a national and international level, it's difficult to accept the fact that most Canadians don't even know who he IS.

And, then it's difficult to comprehend how most of the Canadian media have given Maurice Strong/ Power Corp/Demarais' influence on a great many Canadian Prime Ministers (Trudeau, Mulroney, Chretien, Martin) a pass. They've also given Bob Rae's connection to Power Corp (through Uncle Mo, Bob's brother, John Rae, who is a VP, and ex-PMs Chretien and Martin) a very wide berth--so wide, in fact, that no one, to my knowledge, is mentioning it.

You'll notice that Conrad Black (The National Post) and Ted Byfield and Ezra Levant (Alberta Report, Western Standard) did not give this connection a pass and you'll also notice that their newspaper/magazines are either defunct or sold.

If the CPC or Prime Minister Stephen Harper were connected to a multibillion-dollar corporation whose power brokers were intimately involved with key political players in the HOC, all Hell would break loose. There wouldn't be a television station, program, or commentator that wouldn’t be all over the story. And the CPC would be bludgeoned--rightly--by the onslaught of media interest and commentary. The negative fallout would be cataclysmic.

With the same scenario playing itself out, only it's the Librano$ not the CPC, what's the media response? Not a word. Not one word.

The amazing thing is, that there’s all sorts of information on Mo Strong, Power Corp, and the Desmarais family’s mega holdings AND their connections to Liberal politicians on the Internet. It’s not like it would be difficult to do an investigative story on this connection.

So, why isn’t someone doing it? ‘Makes you wonder…

Re: Maurice Strong.

Peter Foster, National Post, has written extensively on Mao Stlong. His reports are buried in the Financial Post business section of the NP.

Foster's report below is found at

with a link given to National Post. The link to National Post gives this: "Sorry, this article is no longer available.".

""Beneath all the boilerplate about compassion and shared visions lies the fact that Mr. Strong wants nothing less than a destruction of the Western way of life," Foster concludes."

Thanks for that link, maz2:

Yeah, an investigative piece on Mo Strong in the Financial Post business section, widley read by Canadians!

I notice that the date on the link you provide is 2004: four years ago.

Now, that we have Bob Rae, in 2008, intimatley connected with Mo Strong, elected to the HOC, quite likely to become the next Liberal leader with the LPoC's hope that he will be Canada's next Prime Minister, it would be helpful for articles to be written about these dubious connectioins in places more prominent than the business section.

I can't see it happening. And I'm wondering why not. What's our problem?

My next question is, What the heck is going on with the media vis a vis the Brenda Martin case?

They're gunning for Jason Kenney, Prime Minister Stephen Harper, and the CPC: If they don't break Brenda Martin out of the Mexican jail she's in and bring her back home, they're not doing their job, according to Lisa Laflamme and Brenda Martin's best friend, who has been interviewed ad nauseum for the past few days.

As PMSH pointed out, on another piece on CPAC, if the Mexican President called him about a Mexican citizen in a Canadian jail, PMSH would have no jurisdiction to interfere with the Canadian judiciary.

I smell a rat here, as the media seem to want to back Kenney, PMSH, and their party into a corner on this issue.

Why has this become a cause celebre in our media? I think I already know the answer.

Vandals strike again

Montreal police call it their number-one priority right now.
They're trying to track down vandals responsible for a series of crimes over the past week.
The most recent case involved the slashing of more than 40 tires in new and used cars behind the Delisle Mazda dealership on Sherbrooke St. E late Monday or early Tuesday.
A group calling itself Collective ton chien claimed responsibility on an anarchist website and in some media communiques.
It claimed inspiration from two other actions -- last Friday morning's torching of six police cars behind station 23 in the same district as well as fires in three National Bank ATM machines on the weekend.
Groups called Collective ton pere and Collective ton oncle claimed responsibility for those.

With the MSM , Hollywood and university professors making terrorism such a cool thing, anyone surprised terrorism is catching on here in Canada?

I'd bet money within a few years the FLQ will make a come back in Quebec.

"Terror financing suspect a 'very nice guy'
Stewart Bell, Canwest News Service

TORONTO - Bespectacled and balding, with a salt-and-pepper beard, Prapa Thambithurai seems an unlikely candidate to become the first person charged under a Canadian law banning terrorist financing.

A 44-year-old father of three, he immigrated from Sri Lankan two decades ago, studied accounting, installs satellite dishes and lives in the suburbs north of Toronto not far from the Canada's Wonderland theme park.

"Suicide Killings - An Overview
[...]
The first high profile suicide bomb attack killing by the LTTE was that of the Sri Lankan Defence Minister, Ranjan Wijeratne, in Colombo by a car-borne attacker, on March 2, 1991; 19 others, too, were killed in the explosion. A LTTE woman suicide bomber, Dhanu, assassinated former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was all set to become Prime Minister once again, at an election rally in Sriperambadur, southern India, on May 21, 1991. Several months later, the Chief of the Sri Lankan Navy, Clancey Fernando, fell to a suicide bomb attack, in Colombo, on November 16, 1992. Another top armed forces officer to have been eliminated by a Tiger human bomb was a Brigadier in the army, Ananda Hamangoda, who was posthumously promoted to the rank of a Major General.
The top-most Sri Lankan political leader to have been assassinated, and that too, in a suicide bomb attack, was Ranasinghe Premadasa, President of the country at the time of his death. Premadasa fell to his bicycle-riding suicide assassin at a May Day rally in Colombo, in 1993."

Talked to one of my sources tonight; there was at least one 'irregularity' in the Vancouver-Quadra vote that the CPC is looking into.

Meredith did indeed make up votes to the tune of 697-200 over the lib candidate off those votes which were cast directly at Elections Canada. That answers my question of the other day concerning the final two polling stations. V-Q has many residents who vacation in Palm Springs and they were encouraged to vote as soon as the byelection was called.

Stay tuned.

The Power Tool market is experiencing a revolution due to the introduction of the usage of Lithium-ion cell. Because of its lightweight and high energy density, the advantages of using Lithium-ion cell on cordless power tools are evident (longer run time, lighter weight, and more design flexibility).. The IMR series of cells produced by E-One Moli Energy include all the above advantages along with – high temperature operation, low impedance, high discharge current stability, 3.7V~ 3.8V functional with Lithium-ion manganese material.

In 2006, E-One Moli Energy ranked second in the world in terms of sales revenues for the power tool Lithium-ion manganese oxide (spinel) cell. In 2007, estimated annual sales for power tool Lithium-ion manganese oxide (spinel) cells will reach 1.35 million units, thanks to orders from world class power tool makers, gardening tool makers and air-pressure tool makers. E-One Moli Energy is also riding the fast wave by forming strategic alliances with branding and manufacturing partners to seek opportunities globally and maintaining a leading position.

Aside from the mass production capability for power tools industry, E-One Moli Energy has recently developed series IMR-26700 high power cell. This high-end product line is used by the US Military and has received high creditation for its performance and reliability in military radio systems, military computers and rugged flashlights.
