I see, though, that the flyer lost his life in another skydiving accident. Sad.

The Discovery Channel recently did a story on this fellow ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEXxkWXncuo ) who is building and flying a variety of strap-on jet-powered wing backpacks. It doesn't seem much safer, but I think I'd rather have the powered version.
