Obamamania

Obamamania is either reaching new heights, or the mania has peaked and he's now toast. I'm not sure which.

the shine is fats coming off St. Obama's halo now that the media has started, just started to actually scrutinize the good Senator's history.

Wanna bet the Clinton team has a huge team of researchers working 24 x 7 investigating his background and will soon start leaking the stories to friendly MSM.

Oh gawd this is gonna be good watching the Dems neuter themselves in the public media.

His Al Sharpton clone racist preacher buddy is but step one I'd think.

Senator BO, 12 years ago.

"These are mean, cruel times, exemplified by a 'lock 'em up, take no prisoners' mentality that dominates the Republican-led Congress. Historically, African-Americans have turned inward and towards black nationalism whenever they have a sense, as we do now, that the mainstream has rebuffed us, and that white Americans couldn't care less about the profound problems African-Americans are facing."

The right wing, the Christian right, has done a good job of building these organizations of accountability, much better than the left or progressive forces have. But it's always easier to organize around intolerance, narrow-mindedness, and false nostalgia. And they also have hijacked the higher moral ground with this language of family values and moral responsibility"

Whine whine whine. That's what the left has hijacked. They have the corner on whining. Of course it's harder to build an organization around whining and resentment instead of reality and facts.

The right didn't hijack the higher moral ground, they simply always held it because it is better than the mmm let's see ... the lower moral ground?

It is so obvious that the right works hard to create wealth and prosperity for themselves. Whereas the Left hates then for it for some unfathomable reason and then does what it can to take it away from them. They feel they are owed something for some reason.

That is really a low moral value and is the manifestation of a mental disorder that they cannot figure out that they are losers plain and simple.

They could change that, but that would required some backbone, hard work and perseverance. They don't recognize opportunity because it often comes wearing coveralls and work gloves.

It is such a tiresome tug of war isn't it?

I'd guess that the Obama mania has peaked. At least I hope so.
And yes, I can bet that the Clinton team is working 24/7 to come up with 'the facts' on Obama. I'm not in favour of Clinton or Obama, but I'm very glad that someone is coming up with those facts about Obama.

That includes his links with the Hate America groupies of the left, his links with black Hate America groupies, his leftist ideology... That also explains his rejection of the traditional stance of hand/over/heart during the anthem, his wife's hostility to America...

Very scary indeed!
Obamafascism is the epitome of the failed affirmative action policies. It brings neither skill nor allegiance to the people only terrible distain and entitlement demands as with Mrs. Barakistan.

This should be fun to watch. There isn't a much more patriotic country than the USA, and now that it is apparent that OB is surrounded by major figures that espouse distaste for the the good ole USA.

If Hillary doesn't get him persistently in the news on this, McCain will later.

Conventional wisdom had it that the Republicans would rather go up against Hillary. As usual, CW appears to be just about to get turned on its head.

Hahahahahahaha Hyuk Hyuk gurgle snort

I'm so sick of hearing about these two, but at the end of the day, I guess it's better him than Hilary. It won't matter anyway, neither of them is going to be President.

John West....I don't think it's so much a mental diesease, as much as it stunted mental growth. They show all the signs of a spoiled 7 year-old brat. For so long, they figured they had it all buttoned up,and leftard socialism would be they way. Then a few people got smart, and started asking them questions. Having no answers but their feelings, they were lost. So like little children deprived of their dessert, they start ranting and saying they hate all of us. Unfortunately, they didn't take their ball and bat and go home, they hang around to pester and bully us.

I can hardly wait until somebody notices that Louis Farrakhan is from south Chicago, the same area Obama is from.

Posted by: set you free at March 16, 2008 12:08 AM

Until now I've agreed with convential wisdom that Hillary'll be easier to defeat than Obama.

Not now. Obama's got as much baggage, and it can be used quite effectively against him by John McCain.

I mean, who would we want as our president, Hillary the Communist, Obama the (fill in the blank with your own questions)... or John McCain, whom we know and would much rather have as president? I think the rational American voter will choose McCain, regardless of age, short temper, etc. (The short temper would come in handy if America's attacked or threatened on his watch!)

I just can't see another Republican being the next president.
So I'm hoping for a Dem that will screw things up badly so as to make sure a republican will be back in 4 years, and also a republican controled congress in 2010.
Sometimes people just have to make their own mistakes, and I'm afraid we're about to see a doosy.

A Dem in the Whitehouse with Dem controled houses... Those poor yanks.

Obamamania may be over. The press are finally giving him the scrutiny he deserves especially with regard to his affiliation with the America-damning Rev. Jeremiah Wright who has now left his campaign. Obama's statement of disassociation from the Rev. is here:
http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2008/03/on_my_faith_and_my_church.html

Who will believe Obama when he says this:
"The statements that Rev. Wright made that are the cause of this controversy were not statements I personally heard him preach while I sat in the pews of Trinity or heard him utter in private conversation."?

at least the yanks have constitional guidance on cleaning up a real big mess. the second amendment.

The wheels have come off. He is running on the rims. It won't be long now until the melt down that causes The Daily Kos to implode.

Some of those videos that Fox is dumping out of the "Come to Jesus" rants of Jerimia Wright: watch closely at some of the pans to the choir and the audience. Two of the scenes sure seem to zoom in to show Queen Michelle at the service. There are hours of these CDs out there. Somebody is going to find Barak in the pew at one of these rants and then it's all over for him.

Of course,it's all Bush's fault. Didn't you see Karl Rove hovering behind the curtain?

If these videos had surfaced prior to Super Tuesday would it have made a difference in the results. Why now, when it is impossible for Hillory to overtake him unless the super delegates are influenced. And, I wonder if the Clinton fingers are not hidden somewhere in this.
But, considering that BHO refuses to wear a flag pin on his lapel, or put his hand on his heart during the national anthem, it does raise some questions.
Slavery was ended years ago, and if this pastor swears allegience to Africa, why doesn't he go there. Where did the slaves come from, didn't enemy tribes sell their prisoners to the traders.
We think muslims are wrong for fighting for something that happened 1000 yrs ago, how about the natives in Canada or Blacks in the USA.
Get over it and join the civilized world.

Albert4:

Believe it. JM is now leading in national polls as well as key swing states (PA, FL, and apparently even Michigan) against either HC or BO. And he's getting zero coverage right now.

This can be credited to a lot of things, but I think the biggest is the rigidity of the Dems liberal rhetoric - anti-nafta when globalization is clearly the path to prosperity (particularly felt so by younger people), socialist healthcare is not and never will be popular in the US, they are anti-iraq when clearly the battle is being won, etc.

Expect the brewing pastor debacle and rezko-gate to put BO on a permanent downward swing; that the redo in Mich and the reinstatement of the FL votes will go hillary's way; and that, in light of the sinking fortunes of BO, that the Super delegates will move to give the nomination to HC.

As a result of the latter, there will be historically low levels of black voters voting DEM and thus the Nov vote will be a romp for JM.

Don't miss the irony of this one:

"My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it." -- Barack Obama

..

How ironic for Obama to be felled by rascism, a black preacher's rascism.

Thanks for that analysis Gord...it looks like he is toast.
