Red Tory and the BNP:
Wow… Look at that… Canada’s lib-left matched 17 of the BNP’s policies while conservatives matched only 7… I guess Red Tory should really be pointing at his comrades when he discusses who would be more “right at home” with that “lot”…
Now, I’m sure that the moonbats are going to whine and cry and say that conservatives are racist and that the BNP is racist and that they’re both the same because of it. They’d be lying. You see, it’s not the conservatives who are racist, it’s the lib-left. I can prove it by asking a few simple * questions * :
Q: Which US President forced the Civil Rights Act through the house and senate and what party was he with?
A: LBJ, Republican
Q: Which party voted overwhelmingly in favor of the bill?
A: Republican
Q: Which party tried to stall the bill through committies and filibuster?
A: Democratic
final question…
Q: Which current sitting Senator once led a local chapter of the KKK and what party is he with?
A: Robert Byrd, Democrat
Yes Virginia, there are fascists among us but it’s not the conservatives. It’s people like Red Tory…

Matthew Levitt and Michael Jacobson, Timely Reminder of Iranian Support for Terrorism
Over the past several years, Iran's nuclear activities have commanded the attention of the international community. But the recent assassination of Hizballah foreign operations chief Imad Mughniyeh is a reminder that Iran has been -- and continues to be -- a key player in global terrorism, as its explicit sponsorship of Hizballah, Hamas, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) demonstrates. Moreover, a recent terrorism case in Bahrain suggests that Iran's assistance to al-Qaeda operatives may still be continuing today, echoing the regime's implicit support of the group in the past...

This would be in a Real Court, not the Star Chamber guilt-by-association and innuendo and guesses about future hurt feelings caused by your own offensive behaviour but attributed to another's speech...of the Human Rights Commissions.
And he's up against Ezra! I simply don't get it.
http://ezralevant.com
I've read the letter sent by Warman's lawyer to Ezra. I'm not a lawyer and can only 'opine' that I'll bet that Warman is being funded by the Canadian Jewish Congress, who are mentioned frequently in the letter.
That is, the defamation claimed by Warman is not simply the claim by several blog sites, including Ezra's, that he wrote an anonymous blog post with offensive and racist comments against Senator Anne Cools. It's the claim that his actions with the HRC are aligned with the CJC.
So, I'm suggesting that this threat to sue is not being carried out by Warman alone, but, there's the CJC involved. And Kinsella, who has recently become employed by the CJC, and who has a vendetta against Kate and other bloggers. And against Ezra.

Noticed at the Oscars that there were a few black presenters and historical or 'past-away' clips with black actors, but that there were few nominees this year (I guess the choir in the best song category counts). Universal Islamic 'Blasphemy' Law ?
By Andrew G. Bostom
Almost two weeks ago, "three men with a Muslim background" were arrested by Danish police on anti-terrorism charges, suspected of having plotted to murder Kurt Westergaard, a cartoonist for Jyllands-Posten. Westergaard is one of the 12 cartoonists who on September 30, 2005 published cartoons of the Muslim prophet Muhammad to protest the tacit enforcement in Danish society of Islam's taboo on depictions of Muhammad, no matter how banal, or inoffensive, through intimidation -- a clear violation of Western freedom of expression.
Upon learning of the arrests, Westergaard (noted for this cartoon) commented aptly,
"I think...that the impact of the insane response to my cartoon will last for the rest of my life. It is sad indeed, but it has become a fact of my life."
And within 3 days, by February 15, 2008, confirming the pervasive fear of violent Muslim reprisal that apparently grips Danish society, Westergaard was ejected from his police-protected hotel room having been deemed, "too much of a security risk." Now the 73-year-old cartoonist and his wife are homeless.

About 50 activists held the meeting in the same town where terrorist Parviz Khan, 36, plotted to behead a British soldier.
Ten thousand leaflets were distributed to attract moderate Muslims.
They criticised comments by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, 58, who suggested parts of Sharia law may be good for the UK.

"Islamist Recommendations or Mandates?"
R. John Matthies
Not long ago a list of “unique issues affecting Muslim Americans” was posted at the Muslim Americans for Obama ’08 website. This describes a number of “recommendations” drafted to advance the discussion of lawful Islamism and exceptional accommodation in the United States. These suggest both that “Islamic” comportment is beyond reproach, and that one is always correct to press the case for inviolable “Muslim” space.
The “recommendations” described are neither fantastical nor improbable. In fact, if the United States has by this time failed to enact the variety of accommodations embraced by our Western allies, it is clear that, on the ground and across the United States, private institutions and local governing bodies have taken the lead in obliging Islamist groups. This is simply to say that the present list of wishes (untouched for spelling and grammar) has become very real for many.
QUESTION: What are issues and recommendations for solutions that are unique to Muslim Americans?
1. A Law against harrassment of Muslim women wearing Hijab at the Airport, DMV and other public arenas.
2. Institute a Law to allow Muslim Employees to take a hours off from work for Friday Jummah [congregational] Prayer.
3. Make the 2 Eid’s [holidays to mark the end of Ramadan and the Festival of Sacrifice], recognized National Holidays on Calendars with days off from work.
4. Optional Halal meals in federal buildiings, public schools and colleges.
5. Provide prayer areas suitable for Salah [ritual prayer] and Jummah, in public and private facilities. (i.e. Malls, Airports, Universities and government buildings.)
6. Organize a Muslim American group to assist in recommendations for US foreign policy affecting majority Muslim countries.

I'm a committed Christian and very seldom agree with the Academy on anything. (I haven't bothered to watch the Oscars for many years now.)
However, I'd imagine one of the reasons "Amazing Grace" (I LOVE that hymn!) wasn't nominated is because--certainly in my opinion--it wasn't a very good movie: weak characters (as acted: I find Ioan Gruffudd typically tepid and formulaic) and not much plot or drama.
'Too bad, because this is a noble story and, IMO, could have made a really great movie: think the sleeper, "Chariots of Fire". Now THAT was some movie, with orthodox Christians as good guys--fantastic music too!
IMHO, the most stirring and dramatic part of "Amazing Grace" was the surprise "ending"!

Not really. The other actresses nominated for Best Actress weren't all that great, IMO.
Cotillard WAS fantastic. It was amazing to see this absolutely beautiful young actress emerge at the Oscars from under the makeup and behind the physical gestures with which Cotillard crafted her uncanny depiction of the passionate, drug-addled diva.
Did she do her own singing? Whether she did or not, her performance was a tour de force. Good thing Hollywood gave her the Oscar or they'd have had egg all over their faces.

The 2008 International Conference on Climate Change is the first major international conference to focus on issues and questions not answered by advocates of the theory of man-made global warming.
David Archibald will present a paper at this conference: Solar Cycle 24: Implications for the United States
Do we live in a special time in which the laws of physics and nature are suspended? No, we do not. Can we expect relationships between the Sun’s activity and climate, that we can see in data going back several hundred years, to continue for at least another 20 years? With absolute certainty.
In this presentation, I will demonstrate that the Sun drives climate, and use that demonstrated relationship to predict the Earth’s climate to 2030. It is a prediction that differs from most in the public domain. It is a prediction of imminent cooling.
You can download Archibald's paper here: Solar_Arch_NY_Mar2_08.pdf I will be highlighting sections of this paper where it supports the Dalton Minimum Returns. It could be even worse, a return to a Maunder Minimum. I am hoping for a Dalton Return.
