Don't they realize that a plan to protect the project's reputation and ongoing expansion is key to the survival of Alberta's future economy. They need to tell interfering Americans that they may be the consumers now but if they'd rather pedal bicycles that the Chinese or Indians will want the oil too. They need to tell non Albertans that while it is in Separatist Quebec's economic interest to stay in Canada, that for a long time it has been in a Separate Alberta's interest to leave so shut the h*ll up. How does Fife back up his statement that “the Liberals are actually slightly ahead as a preference for Canadians” when the poll states “When asked which party's values most reflected their own, 28 per cent said Conservative and 21 per cent Liberal.”?? Given the +/- 3.1% accuracy of the poll, the best interpetation (spin) for Fife would be to assume that the uncertainty went fully in favour of the Liberals to yield 24.9% Conservatives, 24.1% Liberals.

The poll also reports:
