With Canadians increasingly anxious over the looming threat of year-round gardening, and entrenched in a foreign policy viewpoint premised on a seething hatred of George Bush, Stephane Dion's stars were aligning.
And then this had to happen;
"Iraq has formally ratified the UN's Kyoto Protocol on climate change, according to a government statement..."
("Elizabeth May, Canada's Ambassador to Iraq" has a nice ring to it.)
Related - At this rate, Al Gore may end up killing more islamists than Bush ever hoped to.
Maybe they're trying to get Europe to help them by pretending to kowtow to the eurotrash agendas...
Good luck with that.

That does make sense. If stupid Europeans are going to give them money for developing their economy they'd be foolish not to take it.
If some fool offered to give me a wad of cash I assure you I wouldn't object.

Completely meaningless.

("Elizabeth May, Canada's Ambassador to Iraq" has a nice ring to it.)
Ya, right. First Saddam Hussein uses Iraqi oil revenue to build himself an assortment of castles and other perks, and now you want Elizabeth May to lobby for leaving the oil in the ground. Iraqis cannot win.
Posted by: Louise at February 7, 2008 2:01 PMGee, think of all those carbon credits they will get by not having air conditioning...
It is nice to see that the Iraq government is developing the bad habits of the west. Fiddling while Rome burns. You know, like changing the menu at the congressional dining room. Important stuff.

Posted by: bob at February 7, 2008 2:43 PMThis morning's commute to work took me 1 1/2 hours longer than usually, all due to the effin global warming.
