The Would-Be Commandress In Chief

Revisiting Hillary's "any resemblance to Saddam Hussein* is purely coincidental" moment;

"I know you're going to inspect me. You can look inside my mouth if you want."

Perhaps. But bring soap.

Heh. I wonder if she was aware of her 'Saddam Hussein' moment.

I thought Bill was bad. If Hillary gets the nod, the US will be in for two scoops of bad.

I spent 10 years in the Navy and never heard such a potty mouth.

Posted by: Old and Grouchy at December 18, 2007 3:20 PM

The way she keeps using the f-word,maybe the old bat just needs a good f**k!! C'mon Billy-boy.If you can't handle it,I here Kato is looking for some work.

Posted by: Justthinkin at December 18, 2007 3:25 PM

And what's with look inside her mouth? Everybody knows old nags are good for just eating hay.

Posted by: Justthinkin at December 18, 2007 3:26 PM

Never thought it would happen but now I kinda feel sympathy for poor old Bill. Imagine suffering with a piece of work like Hillary for 30 some years.

Posted by: prospector at December 18, 2007 3:26 PM

If this is true - she is so NOT what you want in a President - especially when you swear to put people down.

Everyone swears from time to time. It's hard to not swear when you accidently apply the hammer to the thumb, or the wrong team wins the game, etc.

In certain social and working environments it's normal to swear because it's almost cultural - maybe swearing is part of the political competitive culture - but it should still not be used to insult or threaten people.

People actually notice when you do not swear - they notice class.

I am a potty mouth but I know not to bite the hand that feeds me and generally where to stop - normally when there is a chance of human being present. If it's true she said those words to those people, she's not just dangerous - she's psychiatrically dangerous.

Posted by: Aaron at December 18, 2007 3:36 PM

Bring soap -- is appropriate! LOL

Posted by: Orlin at December 18, 2007 3:44 PM

She has anger management issues.

Along with all her other issues.

Posted by: Howie Meeker at December 18, 2007 3:47 PM

Personally, I hope she wins the democratic nomination.

Posted by: Shaken at December 18, 2007 3:52 PM

The inside info on Hitlery's sinking numbers is that they are a direct result of Bubba... Bill is out stumping for her and people see him and are reminded he'll be back in the white house if they vote for his wife....it's a negative visual that is turning people off by the droves.

Posted by: WL Mackenzie Redux at December 18, 2007 3:52 PM

She’s so ronry.

The former first lady … said she "could not be more pumped up" .
"I know you're going to inspect me. ….
"Countries that deny women their rights are often countries we have problems with…”
“I hope … I can … ask you to consider caucusing ... me."

Interesting expression but if Bill won’t do it why should Iowans have to?

2008 really should be the Democrats' year, but the fact is that Barack Obama is dreadfully lacking in political experience at the national level, something the republicans will easily exploit if he's the nominee, and Hillary Clinton is a crass political tactician and poor campaigner who will not survive a year of nightly exposure on TV screens.

But I did enjoy the way Bill channeled his inner Nixon on Charlie Rose last week. Of course there's that crass thing again, though....

how people treat hired help is a very true indicator of one's moral compass.

Shrillary is a legend in her own mind - probably why she is still with Bill

From a comment on gateway pundit:

Re the quote: "You know, I'm going to start thanking the woman who cleans the restroom in the building I work in. I'm going to start thinking of her as a human being"

According to the article "Saint Hillary" by Michael Kelly, that quote is her imagining someone changing their attitudes. The context is this: "And how do we just break this whole enterprise down in small enough pieces? Well, somebody says to themselves: ‘You know, I’m not going to tell that racist..., sexist joke...’

"Or somebody else says: ‘You know, I’m going to start thanking the woman who cleans the restroom in the building that I work in. You know, maybe that sounds kind of stupid, but on the other hand I want to start seeing her as a human being.’"

Don't get me wrong, I don't want that harpy anywhere near 1600 again; but taking quotes out of context is for Liberals and CBC employees. We are better than that.

How can a country of over 300 million people accept a dynasty of two families manipulating power for decades already? And they even consider another Clinton?

They might as well just declare the Bushes and Clintons royalty and despense with all this election nonsense.

Posted by: teddy at December 18, 2007 4:47 PM

interesting parallels to Rome where a functioning democracy gradually became a multi family oligarchy and then a family inheritence , albeit very frequently violently overthrow and replaced with another family line.

the press still lathers at the site of a kennedy.

Posted by: cal2 at December 18, 2007 5:12 PM

I agree with Shaken on this. Hillary's nomination will ensure another 4 years of GOP rule.

Posted by: rattfuc at December 18, 2007 5:33 PM

Hillary's potty mouth toward her secret service detail shows just how utterly stupid this woman is. How motivated would those agents be to protect her if an attempt was made to harm her? Talk about biting the hand that protects you. You just can't fix stupid and this "look at how likeable I am" thing they have going just plain makes them all look stupid. You can't fix stupid nor can you fix annoying.

A dyke that swears like a sailor vs. an Oprah feted Muslim with no experience versus the Republicans in war time.

I wonder what the bookies are saying?

It's going to be an interesting year.

@ Old and Grouchy, there is a reason you don't hear language THAT extreme in the Navy. It would get you filled in eventually.... and rightly.

Was it just me or did anyone else get a wierd feeling of "I'm entitled to my entitlements" deja'vu while reading those quotes?

Posted by: Jim at December 18, 2007 6:28 PM

Swearing at the people whose job it is to protect your life is about as stupid as stupid gets. Piss off your protection detail and maybe, just maybe, when the deranged dude with the gun comes after ya, the guy you just told to "f**k off" won't be so quick to jump in front of that bullet. Human nature and such. Anyone who aspires to leadership and has a tendency to piss off the bullet catchers is asking for a fragging, and leaders who are asking for a fragging should never be allowed anywhere near the levers of power.

Not self promotion but rather a perspective on the Klintonian Kreature:
Billary

Posted by: OMMAG at December 18, 2007 7:41 PM

After seventeen years, and counting, in the Navy, the one point of those quotes that just glares at this reader is that she has ZERO leadership abilities. None. Nada. Insert rassberry sound here.

No one with any leadership skills speaks to a subordinate in that manner in earshot of others. The only exception is when safety is the reason for letting loose. Even then, I would never dream of letting a stream like that flow. Believe me, I can convince an Ordinary Seaman of the errors of his or her ways in a manner that will get the point across and never utter a single swear word. They won't ever want to be on the receiving end of it again either.

in the book american evita, there's a funny story of one of her secret service agents when he heard hillary had been named "mother of the year", and knowing what kind of mom she really was quipped "maybe they meant mother fucker of the year."

The wild card in the 2008 elections is Mike Bloomberg, the mayor of New York City. This man is a billionaire, and can finance his campaign out of pocket change without doing a cent of fund raising. Of course, if he does decide to run, the NYC Jewish community will open their wallets wide. (That's not a racist comment; it's an acknowledgement of reality.)

The big question will be would Bloomberg run as Republican, or an independent? Let's remember that Bill got elected in the first place because of Ross Perot. Running as an independent, Perot got about 19% of the total vote. He appealed much more to Republicans than Democrats, and if he hadn't been running, it's quite likely Bush would have won.

Obama has no chance; there are too many Americans who are not ready to accept a black president. I believe one of the reasons Colin Powell decided not to run is he feared assassination. Maybe in another 50 years...

Hillary also has no chance in a two-way race. Her negative numbers are so high, she'd have to win every vote from people who like her, and people sitting on the fence. Highly unlikely. If it's a 3-way race with Bloomberg in the picture, I'd say she has a shot.

The true dark horse is Ron Paul (who I support). He reportedly raised more money in one day online than any other candidate (over $6 million) last month, and support for him seems to grow with every poll. Paul is a strict constitutionist, and would eliminate many useless government agencies, such as the departments of Energy, Education, and NAFTA. He wants to get out of Iraq immediately, and would lower taxes, while using the savings of smaller government and military expenses to fund Social Security and Medicare. I'm sure his changes to the US economy would cause short term disruption, as did Maggie Thatcher's in Britain, but would set the stage for long term prosperity.

It's pretty much a given the US will fall into recession next year, as over one million ARM's reset, forcing hundreds of thousands out of their homes. The elimination of the "housing ATM", where Americans took 2nd and 3rd mortgages on the supposed increase of their homes' values and spent that on consumer goods, will result in lowered demand across the board, while the massive increases in food and energy costs, which are not included in the US government's deceptive CPI, mean much lower real incomes. And I'm not saying this in a sanguine way; we in Canada are going to feel the fallout from it.

As I've said before, it's a hard rain gonna fall.
