"They like this war. They want this war to continue,"

Blackfive;

She is really a piece of work eh? I mean I'm just trying to wrap my tired little melon around her sad belief that you can just end a war, you can't. You either lose it or win it. We know what she and the nutroots want and all their efforts this year have led to a sad Christmas where victory looms menacingly on the horizon. Heck Fitzmas fizzled last year and they get a Warry Christmas this year. They are gonna get a complex.

Actually that just upped my holiday spirit thinking about sad progressives huddled around their organic, free range, holiday celebration statuette hand-crafted in the Amazon by a blind crocodile, and bemoaning another year where the mongers triumphed over the will of the people. "How could they not follow our tremendous examples of moral superiority?"

Despite their best efforts, success keeps breaking out all over. Just think how bad it could be if media actually reported on victory?
As the Ace notes, this considerable victory [in Afghanistan] has been—how shall I put this?— somewhat underreported. Rather like the Really Big Story which is the defeat of al Qaeda in Anbar Province, and the transformation of the Marines there from fighters to civil reconstruction workers...

Caution in the comments - "The year isn't over yet, there is still time for the much vaunted Taliban spring offensive..."

Related: It's not a complete blackout. Bringing you all the quotes from fictional characters fit to print...

Like the one comment at Black Five: "Pelosi has flipped more time than a cheap twenty dollar hooker..."

Uh oh, I'm sorry that should be "sex trade worker" to all you NDP'ers. It's just a lifestyle choice after all, right? Now the People's Truth Tribunal (HRC) will be after me.

The year isn't over yet, there is still time for the much vaunted Taliban spring offensive we have heard so much about from the media. They are sticking with "most violent year since the Taliban were crushed in 01". Taliban scum ( called innocent civilians when dead)have borne the brunt of this violence, but the MSM feels that won't help Dion get seats in Muslim Canada.

Obviously Dems "like war" to as they consistantly pass the war spending bills.

Nancy!...call for you from LBJ,... Truman, Wilson and FDR on hold...something about Dems "liking war" as much as the GOP.

The US and Canada need term limits (for everyone). That's how you get rid of the dirt and keep our democracies alive and involved. Someone like Pelosi doesn't even know she's a nut - it's just the nature of nuts - the best thing to do is shift her out after 8 years - and get someone new - even if they themselves are nuts - at least they are a new nut and you can just shift them out after 8 years.

Must be Christmas if Pelosi is giving away gifts like that. Gawd she's a doofus.

That 'taleban offensive' was going to be launched from Musa Qala. If NATO reports are accurate, at least 10% of that 'taleban offensive' is now rotting on the ground. By the time winter is over that 'taleban offensive' is going to be mighty thin...

ccon, lobotomizing the voters is the only way to break the endless cycle of electing nuts in some districts. Look at a district like the one that time and again re-elected Cynthia McKinney. The screwballs in San Francisco pretty much only elect nuts. Look at the mayor and city council.

Not everyone is mentally fit to vote, but, as democracies its the best we can do.

Ya have to love how Hot Air keeps posting the same stoic picture of the General saluting his victory:

I've tried several times to read the link, but I can't seem to get beyond the idea of 'Taking Grace home for the holidays'!
