Now is as good a time as any to ask you to STAY HOME if you even think you have the flu. Ask someone to run to the local super drug mart, and stock up on gingerale, painkillers and gravol. A good hot toddy will help you sleep.
Don't waste time in the local ER. They will send you home with the same advice(it really is not an emergency!)You are only going to sit in a waiting room for a few hours instead of lying in bed.
Going to er exposes too many others.
Best prevention...frequent hand washing.

Mine is a flu that seems to have transitioned into a chest cold and sinus infection. I've been laying low at home, popping cold meds, and drinking Neo Citran (bleh). That and listening to the messages pile up on the answering machine.

My nanny state province is forcing health care workers to have the useless vaccine in spite of evidence that it won't work.I'm taking a stand and refusing.I will be 'sent home' if there is an outbreak, but the employees that get the 'placebo' vaccine will stay.
There is no information available on the long term effects of repeated injection of flu vaccine.

BTW even tho I pay huge union fees, they are useless to help me stand as an individual. The union wants the vaccine as a 'protection for workers' issue.The union is the new corporation.I would like protection in the form of deciding what to do with my body.There is no evidence that I would be a risk to anyone as long as I follow proper hygeinic procedures.And Tamiflu is another risk.

Well you're right to do so...you work in the health industry, you know that these mass created flu vaccines are full of all sorts of pathogens unrelated to flu...read the reports...murcury and other toxins are also in these things...they just take a bunch of unsold vaccines, amke a stew of them and sell them as viral curealls to the feds.

...and the QA/accountability on Vaccines is next to zero...once big pharma gets the medical community and/or government to administer this poison cocktail if there are any lawsuits for product safety, they have the Feds, the CMA and AMA to protect them because doctors and the government are essentially co-defendents when a less than healthy pharma product is administered by them...like Thalidomide, psychotrophics, Vioxx and a dozen other untested toxins from big pharma.

Better to build your own natural immunity with a sick week than take on the potentially carsenogenic stews being offered as viral placebos.

Have had this ^$^& bug for 3 months,turned into walking pneumonia, and now I'm on 3 different puffers! yes 3! And I still haven't coughed up what's in my lung! Haven't any energy because I can't breathe properly! Woe is me!

All you people struggling to fight off the bug, get lots of rest. Even if you go to work, just go for a few hours then get home for an afternoon sleep. Drink lots of water, as your body fights the infection, your kidneys filter out the guck, get rid of it asap.

Years ago I had my very first , and only flu shot. I was so sick as my immune system lost complete control of my sinuses. I changed from totally plugged to streaming freely pints of liquid a day and that liquid comes from your blood. It took 4 months and was so bad at one time that I thought I would have to take long term disability.
