Click here to nominate your favorite blogs and bloggers in 49 categories. The nominations close Wednesday, so don't delay!
Voting for the 10 (or so) selected finalists in each category begins November 1. The winners will be announced live at BlogWorld & New Media Expo in Las Vegas November 8, 2007. We expect that the awards ceremony will be broadcast live on the internet. Details on the award broadcast will be released later this month. The master list of nomination posts.
I voted for you last night. (Saw the post on Little Green Footballs).
Good luck Kate

The one and only political voice in Canada used to be brainwashed anti-American, socialist, PC dogma, dressed up in a liberal flasher raincoat, with taped on pantlegs.
Than smalldeadanimals came along...
Kate is only about 1/3 of the way through, saving Canada; is there an online award for that?
Thank You Kate!
Posted by: richfisher at October 16, 2007 12:42 PMI voted for you. SDA rocks.
Thanks Kate.
Supposedly there's no need to second, but I don't know how the selection committee weeds down the nominations.
Posted by: saskboy at October 16, 2007 1:16 PMJust added my vote for you Kate.
Good luck
Kate, you're a lock to win best blog.
Posted by: Alienated at October 16, 2007 1:39 PMBest blog, hmmmm, can't think of any right now, have to ponder this one a while. ;-)
Posted by: dmorris at October 16, 2007 2:25 PMsurely ably and jose and lberia would have to vote for you as well. believe me they love this blog , kind of an S&M thing.
good luck Kate.
You have my vote, Kate.
Posted by: Jim in Calgary at October 16, 2007 2:41 PMPardon my snarkiness, but it would probably help Kate's cause, if more of her readers knew how to follow simple directions on the nomination page:
# The number of nominations a blog receives is irrelevant. One nomination is enough...
# Rather than add a "me too" nomination for a site you're encouraged to use the "+" icon to indicate your preference for nominees. The "+" ratings are one extra piece of information the finalist selection panel can use to help generate the finalist slates in each category.
sorry didnt realize the "+" sign had a different name than an "x" for vote.
is this the hangeing shard of blogging?
Posted by: cal2 at October 16, 2007 3:57 PMThanks everyone, but as Saskboy pointed out, this is the nomination stage. I'll notify you when voting begins.
In the meanwhile, scan the other categories and nominate other worthy blogs while you're at it.
Posted by: Kate at October 16, 2007 4:07 PMLooks like a legitimate awards thing.
Unlike a fake, fixed one by some weird, nutty Leftist named "Robert" (don't worry; I won't say the last name).
Myself, I'd be pretty happy just to get one nomination to "best conservative blog".
Posted by: Canadian Sentinel at October 16, 2007 5:06 PMOh, and I agree that Kate's good at the blogging thing. It takes a lot of effort to build one's readership, etc.
Posted by: Canadian Sentinel at October 16, 2007 5:08 PMSentinel, there was nothing "fixed" about the Canadian Blog Awards. You don't compete, you can't win!
Posted by: saskboy at October 16, 2007 6:34 PMThe nomination rebellion continues unabated by good sense or literacy:

Saskboy, I did compete, by default... was nominated by leftists so they could have a little fun with me and other conservatives, some of whom didn't want to be on it. But I do believe it was fixed, with mostly leftists voting. So, with mostly leftists voting, I'd consider that a quasi-"fix", at least by design.
It isn't really taken seriously, other than by leftists, mostly.
It was an embarrassment for me to be involved at all, particularly considering the bozo who started it up. I don't blame Kate for boycotting it.

It's not the "leftists'" fault that you put all your eggs in Kate's basket, and when she didn't go to the picnic, you all stayed home. Can't expect her to freep every vote for you after all...
