With the Communist Party's 17th congress coming up China decides to ban advertising for push-up bras. Of course these sorts of things are the least of China's human rights sins, but you never know what will finally trigger a revolt.
Posted by Jaeger at October 1, 2007 9:44 PMAnd what exactly was it that these push up bras in China were supposed to push up?
Posted by: John West at October 1, 2007 10:10 PMOh John, apparently you don't appreciate some of the finer things China has to offer.
...and here I thought push-ups were good exercise...
Posted by: tomax7 at October 1, 2007 10:21 PMWatched North American TV lately? It's awful. Sorry, but I gotta take the Chinese side on this one.
"Of course these sorts of things are the least of China's human rights sins"
Canadians pay 40% GDP in taxes and "communist" Chinese pay 30%; please, violate my rights like that any time you wish.
Posted by: Andrew at October 1, 2007 10:31 PMId take anything now to lift and separate Alberta from the rest of the looney federation.

Posted by: felis corpulentis at October 1, 2007 11:00 PMSo I gather the foreign aid Canada gives China does not include Wonderbra. Of course the leftoids think that there is nothing wrong with the government looking after every aspect of their life.

Posted by: Bill D.Cat at October 1, 2007 11:02 PMCrap , now Kate puts up a tips thread . Sorry again J .
Posted by: Bill D.Cat at October 1, 2007 11:05 PMOk, that's the last straw...banning push-up bra advertisements. What is the world coming to???
Posted by: Shawn at October 1, 2007 11:08 PMBack on topic . Are we witnessing the beginning of a separa-tit-s movement in China ?
Posted by: Bill D.Cat at October 1, 2007 11:14 PMWish they’d ban foreign aid from Canada. They must think we’re dopes.

That's sure worked for the CBC. But I'll bet the brown paper bag magazine retailers are all ordering extra stock.

Posted by: Dan Moss at October 2, 2007 1:07 AMA dollar sent to China will buy a bullet which will be pointed at you and put them a dollar closer to bankrupting your national economy.
