Yeah, Google's "corporate jet" isn't a Gulfstream either, its a Boeing 767.

Now that's a lot of hot air.

Good catch Kate, as always.

Remember kiddies, to paraphrase Leona Helmsley:

"We don't reduce GHG. Only the little people reduce GHG"

What? Are you suggesting that there are people who are preaching about climate change but who are not doing their utmost to keep their own environmental impact to a minimum? That when push comes to shove, they are not willing to give up the luxuries that their wealth affords them to save the planet?

Ce n'est pas possible!

...i wish you peons would just hush up and keep riding your bicycles, even at -40.

Yes indeed, while the Google boys may be smart and have done some neat things with search engine technology, they are, like so many young brainwashed liberals, hypocrites.

The worst of the worst are of course wealthy liberals, who want you to pay for their pet projects, why they fly around in jets, live in multiple large homes, and wine and dine at the best restaurants.

Google, which is infested with liberals, quietly ignores the fact that their fortune has arisen because millions of capitalist companies, all generating green house gases, need to advertise their products.

First we had the hippie generation that gives us the likes of Bill Clinton and others. Now we have the wealthy liberal generation that will do their share of damage (Google boys, Soros, Strong, Martin, Gore, the list is long...)

What's next I wonder?

Just the megalomanic concept of some one thinking they(we) can "save" the climate is so incredibly neurotic it defies comment.

Just goes to show when someone gets a few bucks ahead of the rest of us they feel it justifies them running their batshit political ideas on the rest of us.

Much thanks to the 'political left' in North America....because of you my H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-T-E keys are wearing out!

TJ, this is why we conveniently call these dolts "Limousine Liberals"....They still don't get it but that's because when they show up at events their supporters call them "Phrophets" and what-not...It really is sad how incredibly clueless they are isn't it.

Thanks Kate! Prior to learning this I felt that as long as my carbon footprint was smaller than either Gore or Suzuki I was doing good for the environment. Now I think if we take the total emissions of Suzuki, Gore, Page & Brin and divide by 4 to come to the average of these AGW demigods we all have a target to shoot for. As long as each of us uses less than this average we are doing our part for Mother Earth.

This isn't about hypocrisy. It's about credibility. A hypocrite says, "These are the rules by which I live my life, as all men should", and then proceeds to live by different rules. A liar says, "These things are so", and then conducts himself in a way that shows that he knows perfectly well these things aren't so.

The global warmers claim to want to act so as not to harm the earth. And indeed, that's how they act. There ain't a polar bear on the planet that's in any danger from Al Gore's jet, and he could triple his carbon footprint with no risk of affecting any glacier. But they insist that certain actions harm the earth, when they clearly know that they do not.

So have you read the Orson Scott Card book where George Soros funds Google to build killer robots that take over the country after the President is killed and impose a people's socialist republic?

Posted by: Some guy at September 13, 2007 6:35 PM

And how the hell do you "Save the Climate"? Is that not like "Saving the Temperature", or "Saving Daylight". Probably just doesn't have the same poetic ring to say "Intel and Google Kick Off Initiative to Maintain a Consistent Environment"
