Lorne Calvert's and the NDP transportation strategy is quite clear. Ensure that the roads continue to be impassable so that the "Children of the Living Skies" can not get to Alberta.

Saves fuel.

Posted by: stubby at August 29, 2007 1:40 PMInteresting discussion.
The 5 Billion Dollars Lorne Calvert and the NDP are promising to spend on their NDP "Transportation Strategy" is above and beyond the spending they currently engage in today under their flawed and outdated practices.
Considering that the NDP Economic Models are factually proven to be capable of doing nothing more than just scraping by (reducing the provincial debt by a mere 3% over the last 5 years while collecting nearly 40% more in personal income taxes) it seems the NDP Transportation Strategy would only add to Saskatchewan's already excessive debt; that is unless they are planning dramatic cuts in Social Areas and HealthCare. The only other option that the NDP can employ is to massively increase Personal Income Tax.
Otherwise you can just add the NDP's 5 Billion in new spending to Saskatchewan's already massive debt. This will inevitably lead to the result that Lorne Calvert's NDP Government will spend Saskatchewan massively into Debt and into oblivion yet again.
