...what about Diefenbaker who broke the Avro Arrow project?

I hope Maurice Strong ends up on the list.

Any list that puts serial killers on in a better position than politicians or supreme court judges is obviously practicing partisan equivocation of the highest order. Ah yes, once again, a pointless exercise - here's a list of people I don't like.

Great link. I'm enjoying the drumroll.

Way to go Spinks, and thanks, Kate.

From the comments at #6 Bob Rabinovitch:

The CBC is a vanguard of truth in reporting, and of Canadian sovereignty. The CBC is one of the 3 pillars of our nationhood.

I go to John Murney's blog and discover he is a self-identified libertarian on a libertarian blog roll.

Libertarian. Thinks the CBC is a vanguard of truth and a pillar of nationhood.

Hey, anon, think clearly for a second:

Serial killers ruin lives of a couple hundred people. Politicians have the potential to impede, harm or even ruin the lives of thousands or millions over generations.

I'm glad to see that McLachlin made the list ..... in the top 10 too!
Bang on assessment of her!

Suzuki, Layton, and Danny Williams should round it off.

Where's Tim Danson? Oh, well.

I never could come to grips with the fact that a person (and persons) who wanted to break up Canada were allowed to vote in the House on policies that affect all of Canada. I guess that is the reality of freedom and democracy.
Any more guesses on #3, #2, and numero uno?
I believe Suzuki made the list earlier.

Gumby Duceppe a threat to Canada ???? Bwaaaa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha heeeewe ahhh that's a good one....this parasite relies on the blackmail he can suck out of Ottawa for his cushy existance...if they actually separate that candy is gone...don't be foolish Duceppe never seriously promoted separating...just the threat of it.

I see the Cretch was rated 7th as a threat..that was too low for his malfeasance...I hope we see a Demarais-Powercor king maker in the top 3 and some of their puppet Librano PMs as #1 or #2.

The Canadian Human Rights Commission is notably absent (so far.

Posted by: Boudicae at August 16, 2007 11:50 AM

As the supreme symbol of the Supreme Court of Canada, the institution that's used the Charter to turn Canada into an oligarchy--"government by a small group of [unelected] people" (Canadian Oxford Dictionary)--rather than the democracy it used to be, I'd put Beverley McLachlin at the very top. (If dead people are accepted on the list, of course, numero uno would definitely be PET.)

The damage the courts (and their big brothers and little sisters, the Human Rights Commissions) have done to this country is vast. Responsibility, accountability, the rule of law, our ethical underpinnings, and our social mores and institutions have been turned on end, all in the name of "equality".

What a mess.

How much education do you have? And what universities if any did you graduate from? You are all borderline retarded.

Posted by: ok4ua at August 17, 2007 2:08 AM

Kate it's spoiled brat rich landowners like youself that are ruining Canada. You don't think the rest of us peasants deserve a piece of the pie. Farmers are not the backbone of Sask and haven't been for over 50 years. You make ignorance audible.
