BUSH ADVISOR LOOKING AT REINSTATING DRAFT

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8QUECGG1&show_article=1

" WASHINGTON (AP) - Frequent tours for U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan have stressed the all-volunteer force and made it worth considering a return to a military draft, President Bush's new war adviser said Friday.

"I think it makes sense to certainly consider it," Army Lt. Gen. Douglas Lute said in an interview with National Public Radio's "All Things Considered."

Maybe genocide isn't the first word they should be tossing around...

-- PAUINGASSI FIRST NATION, Man. -- A Manitoba community
is in shock after learning three young children are responsible for
the drowning of a 6-year-old boy.

"The investigation revealed that the child was in the company of
three youths, aged 7, 8 and 9," says a recording on the Manitoba
RCMP's media line.

"It was determined that the victim had been bullied into removing
his clothes and was then pushed into the lake by one of the youths.
The child was unable to swim and consequently drowned."

The growing general agreement that the culture of the BBC (and not just the BBC) is the culture of the chattering classes provokes a question that has puzzled me for 40 years. The question itself is simple – much simpler than the answer: what is behind the opinions and attitudes of this social group?.......

Egyptian Cleric Teaches Kids It's OK to Lie

From a children’s program on Egypt’s Al-Nas TV, Egyptian cleric Mahmoud Al-Masri instructs children on the times when it is appropriate to lie: to a wife, to Jews, and to reconcile two arguing Muslims.
[...]
The first, my dears, is lying to the wife in matters of the heart. You are not married yet, but Allah willing, you will be one day, and then you will know what I’m talking about. The wife always likes her husband to say sweet things to her: “I love you,” “I’m crazy about you,” things like that. All the forbidden things he used to say before he was married –he should say them now, when they are no longer forbidden. The wife always likes to hear emotional stuff, in order to feel stability in life. The wife does not want money. She wants sweet words and emotions. Sometimes, the husband reaches the point where he gets tired of his wife, and can’t stand her, and doesn’t want to see her anymore. The same goes for the wife – she can’t wait for the day that Allah will take him away from her. So what should we do in such a situation? In order to preserve the Muslim family, the Prophet Muhammad allowed the husband or wife to lie to one another – but only about matters of the heart, mind you. About what?

Children: Matters of the heart. ...-

Another new low for the Canadian Judical system.

"A teenage gang member wanted in a cold-blooded murder of a Nashville market owner has been granted refugee status by a Canadian judge.

Nasser Muhsin 16, being held in Edmonton, claimed he needed regugee status because he might be hurt or killed by rival gangs if sent back to the States."

My heart is breaking for this poor, obviously innocent young thug.

Nitrogen overload concerns ecologist (new POST-CO2 HYSTERIA is brewing)[...]

"I call it the biggest global change that nobody has ever heard of," Weiss said at the spring event. "The planet has never seen this much nitrogen at any time."

Human activity releases 125 million metric tons of nitrogen from agricultural activities and fossil fuel combustion a year, compared with 113 million metric tons annually from natural sources, according to a 2007 United Nations report called "Human Alteration of the Nitrogen Cycle."

In 1860, the U.N. report noted, there was virtually no release from human activity. The consequences of this spike, the report added, "are profound."

Not only is the glut of nitrogen disrupting ecosystems, polluting waters and harming human health, but it's also a silent partner with carbon dioxide in changing the Earth's climate, the report said. ...-

Holocaust In China Today

http://thecanadiansentinel.blogspot.com/2007/08/holocaust-in-china-today.html

The deaths took place across ten provinces and cities throughout China, with over three quarters of them occurring in the northeastern part of the country. Fourteen of those killed were women, who also account for 70 percent of the overall confirmed death toll, which now stands at 3,073. Estimates place the actual death toll at over ten times this figure, as many thousands remain missing and earlier killings continue to be uncovered.

According to several media reports, including a 2005 article by Intelligence Online, Deputy Public Security Minister Liu Jing has been assigned the responsibility of eradicating Falun Gong before the 2008 Beijing Olympics. (news) The orders presumably came from top leaders, like politburo member Luo Gan, who remain committed to Jiang Zemin’s anti-Falun Gong policy. Sources in China corroborate these reports, saying Liu has issued orders to police departments throughout the country, demanding concerted efforts to achieve the goal of making Falun Gong disappear before the Summer Games almost exactly a year away.

How come some journalists can be so 'bang-on' with their columns and others are just plain 'out-to-lunch' ?? It must be intentional.

There are more, but, IMO three near the top are;

Lorrie Goldstein
http://torontosun.canoe.ca/News/Columnists/Goldstein_Lorrie/

Terrence Corcoran
http://www.canada.com/nationalpost/columnists/terencecorcoran.html

Peter Foster

Voices warning us of the dangers of fanatics, frauds, hoaxes, prophets and multi million dollar con-artists.

Some day we will thank them. It is not a stretch at all that they should be in line for an Order of Canada. The OoC is long overdue for some quality.

Speaking of Order of Canada ----- this guy deserves one.

Mark Patterson is one tough Dude.

[Patterson is a hero, said one of his neighbours.

"I think he's a very brave man," said Faith Crosson. "Mark is the hero, as far as we're all concerned. He saved that young boy's life."]

I wonder if the 'chattering class' would think Mark is realling any more deserving of rights and freedoms than a serial Pedophile ??

David Hand, I believe that individual has been put back into custody, pending his hearing, which has zero chance of succeeding. You're right, criminality cannot be justification for refugee status, period. We need to clean up the refugee system, and revamp our immigration to bring in people who have skills and capital, to replace retiring baby boomers, who come to Canada to escape persecution, prejudice and hatred, rather than forment it.

The United Nations web site* has been defaced this morning. (screenshot)
*15:20 UTC update: this link now says “temporarily unavailable due to scheduled(!) maintenance“, but the other ones should still work.

The speeches of the Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon** have been replaced with the following lines:

Hacked By kerem125 M0sted and Gsy
That is CyberProtest Hey Ýsrail and Usa
dont kill children and other people
Peace for ever
No war

**17:20 UTC Update: the speeches have been restored as well, but you can still check the screenshot. Moreover, the hole seems not to be patched yet, thus the site could be defaced again at will: not the best order for fixing stuff, is it?

While most of us may agree with the message, many will object to the spelling, and specifically to the dont used instead of don’t.
There’s a technical reason for the missing apostrophe, though, because messing with this very character (’) is part of the technique apparently used by the attackers.

As you can easily verify by opening this URL, the site is vulnerable to an attack called SQL Injection.
This is a very well known kind of vulnerability, fairly easy to avoid and very surprising to find in such a high profile web site.

if truth be told:

just because iraq has turned into a huge cockup costing more lives of am. servicepeople than lost in the twin towers, not to mention 10s of 1000s of iraqi civvies cut down before their time, doesnt mean it wasnt all about oil; it just means the neocon plan didnt pan out according to the script. "the best laid schemes of mice and men". so it assuredly was and is about oil, the failure of the plan doesnt make the one time existance of the plan disappear.

also, conrad waltzed off with box after box of goodies the day after his lawyers found out there was a court order to leave the stuff there; it doesnt matter what was in the boxes, he was in defiance of the court order. wtf do you think it was at that time of day? pics of babs? laundry? dirty laundry maybe.

so stop making excuses for mr black based on the, yes, incorrect application of public opinion in the verdict. he turned his back on this country when it was convenient and then tried to reverse the process when it was convenient. a canadian of convenience. kinda like all those lebanese canadians-of-convenience. he is in the hands of the american justice system which can be very very unforgiving. aka no one is immune to jail time.

The "expert" professor opines on Professeur Citoyen Dion: "he ain't got it". Such language from a professor. Tsk, tsk.

As said here repeatedly, Citoyen Dion does not have "It".

OTOH, Conservative leader Prime Minister Harper must have "It" and excellent selling skills. Da proof? Conservative fundraising has brought in more total dollars than the 3 opposition parties combined totals. ...-

Dion's weak selling skills behind low Liberal fundraising numbers: expert

Aside from having to work within new political financing rules that limit donations to political parties, the Liberals are having a difficult time getting members to open their wallets because of Liberal leader Stéphane Dion ...-
