Fenris And The Feminists

QOTW:

"Thank the gods… I was afraid I was the only one to notice this need for domination thing with feminists. I’d have said something before, but I have had a haunting fear that if I did, Andrea Dworkin would show up on my doorstep demanding entrance to berate me, only to beg a caning when the door closed on the world."

(Please keep any discussion work-friendly.)

I wonder what "the book" is. Might be good to know, when I have opportunity to browse the bookshelf, so that I know whether I need to find some rope.

I'm with Jay, another poster at Dust My Broom, "the book" is the phone book... you know, any port in a storm and all that...

name *names* please...
the *odd* foto wouldn't hurt either.

I always love the funny links.

Sounds like "the book" is the philosophy of closeted bondage fetishists. ;-)

"Our Bodies, Ourselves"? "The Feminine Mystique"?

Bloody, radical feminists! As a woman, I have little good to say for these snivelling social engineers and dogs in the manger: always sniping about those who actually succeed by their own hard work and, maybe, even in conjunction with an opposite-sex marriage partner--yikes!! What a bunch of whiners and hypocrites these truncated, rather phony women are.

I come from a family of strong women: my grandmothers, my mom, my sisters, my daughters, and all my aunts and female cousins had, like all of us, many obstacles to overcome and deal with. Did we berate the men in our lives--whom I/we adore, but they are/were far from perfect!--and blame them for our problems? NO.

In a nutshell, despite all the messiness of just plain LIVING--the feminists are really angry that life isn't easy--we like(d) men (and love[d] the ones closest to us), we like(d) sex, we like(d) marriage, we like(d) kids, and are/were willing to throw in our lot with the guys in our lives, for better or worse.

Feminists have a really hard time with "worse". They seem to blame everyone else and go sulk in a corner, then get mad at everybody. (I haven't yet met a radical feminist with a sense of humour. Hmm, maybe that's my fault!) Grow up, I say.

And, sorry, guys, I can't help you with "the book", but . . . wait a minute, the "Story of O" just popped into my mind. I've never read it, but it may be just what you're looking for.

And, really, please try to be nice to these confused women. It's not fair to take advantage of people who are so handicapped.

During my dating years in T.O., I discovered that whitebread Toronto chicks, no matter their educational credentials from high school drop-out to PhD++, were uniformly mental. Fun, but mental.
Having discovered this I started in on the imports.

Immigration has its plus side. ~:D

From what Fenris says things have gone from bad to worse. I guess on the bright side that feminism and Leftardation will presently breed itself out of the gene pool.

lookout! You're a woman!? Wow, and I mean that in the most complimentary way you can imagine. I have read and nodded to all your comments but always took you as a no nonsense in the trenches male teacher -- and a rare male teacher at that.

I come from a family of strong women

And you do them proud!

The "book" is bound to be some Can-lit joyless man-hating dirge, recommended reading for wimmins studies or some pointless *-ology course.

Probably Margaret Atwood.

Thanks Phantom, the phrase in bold broke me up. But surely mental in diverse ways, not uniform! Or were you referring to nurses?

Posted by: Me No Dhimmi at July 22, 2007 6:57 PM

MND, I'm flattered. Thanks!

Me No Dhimmi, their mentalness differed in type and magnitude, but they were all batty in some way. Mostly they had funny rules about things and assumed I could read minds and just know the rules after two dates. Import models didn't assume telepathy, they'd tell me the rules. Which ROCKS! ~:D

Never dated a nurse, so far as I recall. They tend to be kinda cranky. Something about working on the front lines of socialism makes them that way.

EEEeeeeek!

More from the evil wolf Fenris:
"Feminists fight the bigoted and racist war against the peaceful Taliban. Feminists fight the mistaken meme that feminists are hypocritical half-wits whose motives are greedy self-aggrandizement as tenure track pseudo-intellectuals or sub-competent social workers."
