Global Warming Logic from Down Under

It is past time for those who have deceived governments and misled the public regarding dangerous human-caused global warming to be called to account. Aided by hysterical posturing by green NGOs, their actions have led to the cornering of government on the issue and the likely implementation of futile emission policies that will impose direct extra costs on every household and enterprise in Australia to no identifiable benefit.

Not only do humans not dominate Earth's current temperature trend but the likelihood is that further large sums of public money are shortly going to be committed to, theoretically, combat warming when cooling is the more likely short-term climatic eventuality.

In one of the more expensive ironies of history, the expenditure of more than $US50 billion ($60 billion) on research into global warming since 1990 has failed to demonstrate any human-caused climate trend, let alone a dangerous one.

Yet that expenditure will pale into insignificance compared with the squandering of money that is going to accompany the introduction of a carbon trading or taxation system.

CURD GLOBAL WARMING DUCT TAPE AL GORE AND THE OTHER ECO-WACKOS DUCT TAPE THEIR MOUTHS THE BIGGIST SOURCE OF HOT AIR

I think we can figure that this global warming swindle is just that.

Governments are not being mislead by their minions in the sciences as much as they are being wised up to the fact this climate change issue is a fabulous new area whereby gobs of new taxation can be implemented with impunity.

After all, they using the time tested method of guilt and fear to get at our cash. The Churches have known about this trick forever.

Fortunes are about to be made by the snakes in suits and that raises my temperature a lot.

[ Canada's Parliamentarians Cave In Completely To Global Warming Advocacy
By Timothy Ball and Tom Harris

In April of 2006, 61 of the world's leading climate experts sent an open letter to Prime Minister Stephen Harper in which they proposed "that balanced, comprehensive public-consultation sessions be held so as to examine the scientific foundation of the federal government's climate-change plans." The scientists continued "Although many of us made the same suggestion to then-prime ministers Martin and Chrétien, neither responded, and, to date, no formal, independent climate-science review has been conducted in Canada." ]

During the last 25 years I have been at many of Tim Ball's presentations.

On man made global warming and the role of CO2, I would say the following;

Virtually everthing Tim has said over the years was true then and is still true today.

Virtually everthing David Suzuki has said has turned out to be false.

EVERYTHING Albert Gore has said is either outright wrong or a stretch.

This explains why Albert and David will not debate Tim Ball. Or Patrick Moore.

As the song said;

'IT'S A SAD STATE OF AFFAIRS'

IMO, most of the blame should go to the media.

Most of the blame should go to the gullible public, [ sheple?] who seem to swallow anything the MSM dishes out.

The Aussies and Zealnders seem to have clearer, sharper vision than we North Americanos.

Probably that snappy beer they drink. = TG

TG: The Aussies and Zealnders seem to have clearer, sharper vision than we North Americanos.

Actually, and contrary to the implication of this post, the balance of scientific, public, and increasingly, political opinion in Oz and New Zealand is that climate change is a real phenomenon. Some more global warming logic from Down Under:

And at least one survey finds that the Australian public is particularly insistent on action to address global warming:

Years ahead of schedule, China has just surpassed the US as the world's largest polluter.

It appears the Kyoto money transfer scheme is working.

Living here in Sydney I get the impression a fair amount of people are pretty skeptical of anything endorsed by government, as with the nomination of a paleontologist and climate hysteric and children scarer, Tim Flannery, as Australian of the Year. The posts in the Australian newspaper regarding his win are I think about 50/50 though I haven't had time to read them all.

Ron: It is ironic that you talk about Vice President Gore and Dr. Suzkie not wanting to debate with Dr. Ball since I have not had luck in establishing a substantial discussion with Dr. Ball. My last one consisted of Dr. Ball quoting from Dr. Jaworowski, me pointing out in great detail what was wrong with Jaworowski's work and Dr. Ball then quoting from the Bard and saying “I think the lady doth protest too much”. If you are interested in finding the actual discussion it should be archived on ClimateAudit somewhere.

However if you wish to take Dr. Ball’s position I would be happy to debate it with you. I will note that I am currently engaged in field work and my access is spotty.

Regards,
John

At least Australia and NZ had the good sense to abandon the penny back in the 1990s. That was good for the environment, less metal, less energy in moving coins around the country. The Conservatives should show NA leadership and get rid of that perfidious penny.
