Friday Night Blues And Beer

A tradition at Dust My Broom goes to the airwaves;

A big warm hug to some new friends from Rez Bluez which is an all aboriginal blues show featuring live performances that can be viewed on Canada’s Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN). We share some mutual goals so look for some new additions around here in the upcoming weeks. For the record, I’ve been listening to CBC’s Saturday night blues for almost 15 years and I can’t recall them ever featuring aboriginal artists…

Grab a brew and check it out.

Sounds good. Just finished several rum down on the boat listening to dIRE sTRAITES, money for nothing, forgot how good that was. Fishing derby in Sidney good this year but didn’t go as to busy.

Up the Jack.

I don't understand either how aboriginal artists don't sing the blues (that I've heard). You figure it would be a natural fit. All the standard themes are there.

There is a scene hidden behind all the rap! Thanks Kate for the link :-)

Who doesn*t pipe their computer output through the stereo these days?

Just turn on the Fender tubes, grab the neck and jam to a new mix every Friday. = TG

Darcey and Friday Night Blues and Beer rock, even when you're drinking red wine! ;-)
