That's AMERICAN style politics...

/stupid perpetual Liberal attempt at slander on anyone who doesn't agree with their idiotic ideas.

That's AMERICAN style politics...

There's been a Bush-style surge in that lately.

SO ... he was a "youth" then was he?

Posted by: me no dhimmi at April 27, 2007 2:24 PM

He was jus a yute at dat time : Borat Dion

Hi waas catching frog and he was shooting dis guns

Posted by: cal2 at April 27, 2007 2:47 PM

Can you imagine the MSM hysteria if this had been a Western Conservative that had done this?

Since it is a Liberal party Muslim involved in this despicable behaviour we hear what from 99% of the MSM? Absolutely nothing. Only the National Post has picked up on this story.

Posted by: Rob at April 27, 2007 2:56 PM

"...it was loaded?"

Posted by: tomax7 at April 27, 2007 2:58 PM

If it was loaded the refrain would be "I didn't know the gun was loaded, I'm so sorry my friend".
This story has no interest to the media, he's got everything they desire, he's Liberal and being from an Ethnic group, which they prefer over Rubes whose ancestors built this Country is another bonus.

The beat goes on and Borat and his band are slowly getting drummed out of town.

Posted by: Liz J at April 27, 2007 3:24 PM

Yeah, but a Liberal with a gun is only going to shoot himself in the foot or a place about three feet higher. They're carting off Mr Chak now.

Posted by: Blackadder at April 27, 2007 3:58 PM

Chak's always been an unstable crank and a single issue axe grinder...not to mention an islamocentric antisemitic....I don't see the outrage....perfect candidate for the current foamy-mouthed fantic demographic the Librano leadership is courting.

Posted by: WL Mackenzie Redux at April 27, 2007 4:02 PM

Well with the death of Explody Joe Morselli, The libs are in desperate need of someone to do the wet work.
Firing a shotgun into a crowd is a career advancing move for the crime fam, er uh Liberals.
Envelopes don't just deliver themselves you know.

Liberals.
In our cities.
With guns.

We did not make this up.

Posted by: Mike F at April 27, 2007 4:23 PM

Mr. Chak says ………, “for me, most importantly, I want to bring people together. People might think I’m naïve for that.”

No I think you’re a flickin liar.

Posted by: Cal at April 27, 2007 4:24 PM

Curious What did Chak(if it is him) recieve(jail term or slap on the wrist) for the discharging of a firearm?
I have read the articles but i do not see a conviction, does anyone know?

Posted by: bryanr at April 27, 2007 4:32 PM

Liberals.
In our cities.
With guns.

We did not make this up.

Could there be anything worse in our cities with guns?

Greens.
In our cities.
With guns.

We did not make this up.

I wonder how many of the Greens are on the ecoterrorist watch list.

one can hardly imagine the cry from the MSM if this was a conservative or the cry if one of the NDP stole a ring in plain view. oh right , that happened.

Posted by: cal2 at April 27, 2007 5:02 PM

Don't know if everyone heard, but Svend is moving to Fwance (Easier to steal rings there? Uncovered meat of the male variety?).

Hope he meets up with his Islamofacist allies.

Posted by: Mississauga Matt at April 27, 2007 5:12 PM

O/T

Iggy one on one with Duffy.

Iggy: "Don't look to me for solutions"

Duffy: "But you're the government in waiting"

Iggy: "sputter, sput, gag....."

Hope someone catches this on video.

Posted by: A. Cooper at April 27, 2007 5:21 PM

I just went to read the story and it kicked me off saying it can find the server. What an amuazing coincidence.

I'll try again.

Posted by: rockyt at April 27, 2007 6:24 PM

Correct me if I'm wrong buut isn't this the third Dion backer that has had a run-in with the law in the last few months. If these Liberals don't know how to 'vet' one of their own before nominating them for candidacy then how can they possibly believe that they are ready to take back the reins of power. God help this country if the 30% that are backing the Liberals don't wake up soon to see what a bunch of charlatans these bums are.

Posted by: Antenor at April 27, 2007 6:53 PM

but but MM he's going to hook up with pierre pettigrew don't you know, or is the chauffer still in the pix ?

Posted by: spike at April 27, 2007 7:14 PM

A. Cooper: I too hope lots of people catch Iggy with Duffy, they're on again tonight at 8PM in replay.

He has no flicking clue and no answers to tough questions just like the rest of the Liberals and the Dippers.
They're flying by the seat of their pants, in disarray and broke. They can criticize but have no answers.

This war in Afghanistan was entered into by Chretien alone, no debate in the HOC.
Everything that's going on now was arranged by Liberals. Martin was not doing anything different except the Soldiers were not being given the best equipment and it was not a priority. He was too busy running around the country lying to the people to get a Majority.

In fact they're criticizing themselves, they're too stupid to realize it.

Next week will tell us where we're going, an election is a possibility when we have Oppositions siding with the Taliban terrorists. We are in a dangerous time.

Posted by: Liz J at April 27, 2007 7:15 PM

That Muslim law professor on with Duffy who is claiming that our Canadian soldiers are accomplices in torture - (his name stanrs with A) was Iggy's roomate at Harvard as Iggy "mentored" him and helped him out of a bad situation some years ago. (Angry in the Great White North has the details)
Now, Bingo, out of the blue this guy is everywhere. Note, on Duffy he called a retired military general a "liar" when the General said only 5 of the 30 terorists the Globe interviewed claiming torture were handed over by Canadians.

If I was the government I would be looking for a link also between Iggy, this terrorist sympathizer (defended Arar) Harvard Iggy friend lawyer AND the Globe and Mail reporter who disgustingly wrote an unsubstantiated and mostly fabircated story as "fact" which was fabricated by possible Taliban PR spinners.

Could the Globe be sued? Could this arrogant Harvard lawyer in collusion be sued or tried for treason against OUR side?

Posted by: Lorraine at April 27, 2007 9:51 PM

The problem for Iggy is that he was a Republican defender in the USA then decided to join Liberal Criminal Party. That is the reason he cannot answer Duffy's policy questions.

Posted by: Ryan at April 27, 2007 10:08 PM

The professor at the UBC is a buddy of Lloyd Axworthy. They are stirring up the pot for political reasons. I am surprised that the fact that the libs were in power for the first 4 years of the war is not mentioned more prominently.

Posted by: wallyj at April 27, 2007 10:13 PM

If he said that he was misquoted. If he did that his actions were misinterpreted.

Posted by: ural at April 27, 2007 10:44 PM

Some liberal jerk cartoonist had a stupid cartoon that tried to blame the end amendment for the VT incedent just trypcal of these infernal scribblers isnt it these liberals are so stupid i mean wal-nut brains

Used to ride my bike with a friend of mine down to white mud creek in Edmonton at 12 with a 22 over my shoulder. Grew up with guns, they kill nothing, NOTHING, in this case nothing but gophers. Is it that a 12 year old has more sense than a liberal?
Haven't owned a gun for 25 years but if I ever own another one it will be considerable more powerful than a 22 and not meant for gophers.

First, they came for the guns ?

George Jonas: an e-mail I received this week:

"Last Monday, April 16th, 4 a.m., near the hamlet of Craigmyle, Alberta, just southwest of Hanna, John Rew, age 50, was awakened to the sound of a SWAT smoke grenade smashing through his bedroom window," wrote my correspondent. "He was thrown face down on the floor and handcuffed instantly afterward, as a second smoke grenade exploded through his TV stand in the living room, burning a hole in the floor.

"The Drumheller RCMP, Calgary SWAT, and Red Deer SWAT had come for all his firearms, in particular his registered prohibited and restricted firearms, all legally registered to him.

"Although their search warrant did not include any residences, Rew agreed to lead them across the farmyard to his 80-year-old mother's house. Her basement contains Rew's storage facility. His mother, Betty, allowed them entry and was detained for her co-operative efforts. The masked, body-armoured, assault rifle equipped [police] got what they came for. Rew was hauled away, still in handcuffs. His alleged crime: allowing his F.A.C/P.A.L [gun permits] to expire. 2:30 that afternoon he was released, promising to appear in Drumhelller court 10 am May 25th 2007.

"The authorities shut down Rew's oilfield business for the day, turning his 20 employees away at the gate. His sister was not allowed entry to tend to their 80-year-old mother who had been devastated by the events of that morning. Ironically, the next day, April 17, our government announced an extension of the long gun registry amnesty for another year."

Note to readers: I haven't edited the e-mail forwarded to me, other than to correct typos and remove some judgmental words. Preliminary research indicates that Mr. Rew, who owns and operates an oil patch located on his farm, is an ordinary gun collector who -- at worst -- may not have complied with some paperwork. Did the gun police behave as thuggishly as it appears in the e-mail? I don't know. ...-

AGWN says: "And it is clear that the Liberal Party did not know."

That is bs;complete bhjjdrkt.

Chak is another Liberal suee from the secretive Librano$ training camp run by MayDion in the sub-basement of Mama Teresa's Ristorante; the maitre d' and sommelier/enforcer is Alfonso Gagliano.

Chak to sue National Post. How many lawsuits have the Librano$ filed? Count 'em .... 1,2,3,4,5,6,.....-

Farhan Chak tries to defend himself

Farhan Chak is snapping back. He is arguing that his prior views have changed and that the firearms charges were dropped. But that doesn't matter. When he applied as a Liberal Party candidate, he was obligated to tell the Liberal Party all this information. And it is clear that the Liberal Party did not know. [...]

Chak said he is seeking a lawyer to pursue a complaint of defamation against the National Post.
