With all those "sixes" involved in the amount "misappropriated", I have to assume Ms. Lord was temporarily under the influence of the Devil, and is therefore not responsible for her actions.

It is all about the checks and balances. Unfortunately in Canada we have none.

Greedy corrupt socialists...nawwwww...say it ain't so Mickey!

There are crooks of all ideologies so the fact that she worked for socialists doesn't bother me. The cover-up, however, is quite damning. When I read, "The Government rejects that [caucus decided that charges wouldn't be laid], saying it's up to the Crown to decide on criminal charges", it evidences a dereliction of responsibility by the Crown over what could have amounted to a small but manageable scandal. Especially after the NDP were all high and mighty regarding the aftermath of the scandals in the Devine government.

Hypocrites.

I saw the ever more porcine Hagel sweating buckets on TV over his issue. It looked like he had something to hide and was using weasel words so when we get to hear "the rest of the story" he can try to slip out of his statements without clearly prevaricating. It’s nice to see a pig in a poke!

Did the police ever get the confession?
Did the confessed thief have a criminal record before she hired on with the "Pat's party of perfect purity"?
Were there other thefts that were not pursued because the confessed thief had something on the party? [Remember how she said in her confession that she did not want to embarrass the NDP? What does she know that could embarrass the NDP? Lots I reckon!]

Sounds like this won't go away until Murdock Carriere wins man of the year at the feminist convention!

I see the letter was addressed to MLA Pat Lorje, another vapid, die-hard socialist. She now sits as a Saskatoon city councillor. Is this an omen?

The Sask electorate deserves what it gets for continually voting in this disastrous NDP gov't. and enabling these Socialist hacks to be recycled instead of benched.

And, this is the main reason for the de-population and mediocrity plaguing Sask.

If you continue to read that memo carefully, this passage strikes me:

"Further to my initial findings, I was horrified to find a number of altered cheques, and cheques issued in Ann Lord's name with backup documentation outlining the monies as being designated for people other than Ann Lord and more specifically as being intended for Jim Fodey, who was also a signer and approver of the payments."

"considering the nonstop lying that Jim [Fodey] has becomine infamous for..."

"Jim Fodey continues to live a lie.", "I find his ability to lie both outstanding and appalling"

Of course, Jim Fodey continues to be an employee of the Government of Saskatchewan:

http://gtds.gov.sk.ca/gtds.cgi?esearch=&updateRequest=&view=detailed&sortBy=name&for=people&attribute=name&matchMethod=is&searchString=Jim+Fodey&objectId=54675

With a memo like that, if even half of it is true, the man should have been shown the door.

It is time the caucus fund was eliminated.
Bernsten and co. couldn't spend it legally and built up a huge surplus that they felt was property of the party.
The NDP has expanded the allowable expenses and now computors and probably lecturns are allowed and not fraudulent purchases for communications. The amount per MLA has never to my knowkedge been reviewed or revised especially downward. It sounds like a huge office staff compared to Devine's small caucus staff.
It is sad that clingon bureaucrats continue to steal and lie and leave the MLA to face the mud storm that follows.
Pat deserves lots of flack for not settling this issue when it was brought to her attention by the CMA. I still wish she was an MLA with duct tape on her mouth like her first term in Regina now we have to contend with her in Saskatoon, If she gets another term in city hall she will start to vocalize her twisted socialist views. Her problem is that her mind is too slow for her mouth
