Criticism of treatment of BS strange coming from Sheila Copps who:

- paid her dues, unlike BS
- was victimized by top down sabotage in her riding, kind of like how BS victimized Harper with surprise defection

At least Sheila Copps made a contribution to polical affairs and, even though, I don't agree with her politics, she went in the trenches and fought the good fight, unlike BS who thought she could buy leadership and acumen.

Belinda had my support until she jumped ship. If she had been willing to wait, pay her dues, and get the experience, she might have done very well in the Conservative party.
But she was unwilling to wait. So she played right into all the stereotypes that Copps talks about. Her downfall was her own doing.

Sheila herself has placed this zinger in today's column. She is definitely giving the impression that someone may actually have taken such a picture at some point of her actual living member and then printed it in a "national magazine" for all the world to see. The truth is somewhat more prosaic.

Years back, when Sheila was a minister in the Cretch government, she was going on ad nauseam about the need to protect Canadian journals etc. etc. The publisher of a notorious American skin mag decided to have a little fun at her expense by printing a picture of what was purported to be hers in the magazine. I believe it was Hustler magazine. Of course all the right people were all outraged at the time, including Sheila herself.

Now, however, she seems to be wearing it with pride as the ultimate proof that the whole sexist world is conspiring against her.

As if we need any more proof of Sheila's delusions of grandeur, now she is thinking that when a magazine publishes pictures of her vagina it is an issue of whether she is taken seriously as a politician or not. Because it is obvious that whenever pictures of Britney Spears' or Paris Hilton's or Lindsay Lohan's vaginas are shown it is a matter of publishers not taking them seriously as actresses, right?

I'm sorry, but the reason why Sheila, Belinda and Kim Campbell (note to Sheila: Kim Campbell -- like Alexa McDonough, Marlene Jennings, Hedy Fry and many other women in politics -- has always been addressed by both names, no matter what your delusional mind thinks) is because they have painted too many targets ON THEMSELVES! Nobody did it for them, they did it all by themselves.

Belinda's problem was not that she butchered the English language, but rather that she had nothing intelligent to say.

Kim Campbell's problem was that she made herself look like a party girl throughout the election that ended her political career. It's no different than Stockwell Day's swimsuit calendar. But nobody's complaining about Stock getting a hard time, right?

It's writings like Sheila's that just go to show that women in politics worst enemy isn't men, but rather their own demeaning self-loathing. I have one name for Sheila to remember: Margaret Thatcher.

Why? Because Sheila doesn't even know why she'll never be spoken in the same breathe as Thatcher. And it's all about the fact that Thatcher believed in what she could do, whereas Sheila and Belinda and Kim Campbell are too spoiled and too whiny to realize that success is built in spite of obstacles.

In my opinion they have to be the one's setting the bar. Anything less makes them appear weak. Set the example for colleagues and tax payers that you would for your own children. It's a bit of an exageration to say a pic of her vagina has seen the light of the public prints. Copps' face was photoshopped onto the torso of a rudely-posed naked woman in the short-lived Quebec-produced Canadian edition of Hustler magazine about five years ago, when Copps was fighting with the magzaine industry over split-run(!) editions. Copps complained and the magazines were pulled(!). I wrote a story about it and have a copy of the magazine in a bin in the basement. It was pretty silly, just high-school quality trash.

Copps was actually good politician when she started out. When she jumped up on that table, that was cool, then it was down hill from there. When Crosby made that statement about tequila, instead of some kind of smart retort, she turned herself into a victim. She was in politics where others will say things she may not like, victims are popular in a segment of the population, though majority has not time for that kind of foolishness.
MacDonald just did not have it. She is a decent character, though would have been better off as a liberal.
Campbell insulted intelligence of most of the voters telling them they just don’t have the capacity to decide for themselves, in much the same vein as that knucklehead Reid. You probably would not vote for somebody that implies that you are just too bloody dumb to know.
Stronach is a rich airhead that gives blonds bad name. She wanted to be the first woman prime minister so she tried to buy her way to leadership of conservatives. That did not work out. So what do you do? Well another party seems to be in turmoil maybe that will work. OK she changes parties, though you have to admit that Stronach sounded more like a liberal than a conservative when she ran for conservative leadership. What happens? Well it did not look like she would make it so she quit trying, after that there was really nothing left for her ambitions. As it is now, maybe, possibly she could make it as CEO of Chrysler if thing work that way, that’s up in the air somewhere and some of the air got into her head.
