Journalists: our intellectual superiors!

BBC gets the Pope's name wrong, unveils "secret Vatican document" -- that has been posted on the Vatican website since 2001.

Rosie O'Donnell was impressed, though.

I began to think that there must be something very good about the Roman Catholic Church--having been brought up in a very Protestant home where it was thought that there was nothing good about the RC Church--when I became old enough to be aware that the MSM maligned it at every turn.

On further investigation into nearly every issue the RC Church has been raked over the coals for, I've discovered that there are, indeed, many, many good things about the Catholic Church--in the main, that they take Christianity very seriously and are in the vanguard of succour and aid wherever there is a disaster in the world.

The fact that Rosie O'Donnell doesn't know her ass from a tea kettle (is there something about gay sex that shrivels the brain--or is it just her money talking?) is not surprising. She's got verbal diarrhoea, PLEASE someone give her an immediate dose of Imodium.

The unfortunate thing about Miss Motor Mouth, however, is that far too many people don't bother to investigate her drivel.

In any case, as Jesus promised, the gates of Hell shall not prevail against the Kingdom of God. That's the truth and I'm sticking to it.

This *^%$#@!@!@ filter is getting really annoying. 'Tried to make a post and it got caught in the net. Jeesh. 'Nothing very controversial about it. Can you not mention "sex" and "Rosie O'Donnell" in the same post? Or "sex," "Rosie O'Donnell" AND "the Roman Catholic Church" all in one breath?

I'm frustrated.

Overheard at a cbc/bbc conference which starred "rosie". If electricity comes from electrons does morality come from morons?

Posted by: melwilde at October 3, 2006 9:46 AM

You were caught in the spam filter for using the word "sex" in conjunction with double dashes. The filter scores words and other items, like excessive punctuation and if you tip the scale away from the positive scoring, you'll get trapped. If your posts don't go through, don't repeat the same post multiple times. Look again at what you've written and try to eliminated words that are likely to appear in spam. ie: poker, viagra, sex, online... etc.

I gather that smearing the Pope's reputation is a notch up from asking for his beheading per Al Qaeda.

Pope Benny is clearly no dummy; and as the article points out was put in charge of the cleanup of abuse scandals in 2002 and not in the 1980's as Rosie alleges.

But Hell Bell's whacking the the RCs is the last 'dishonourable' prejudice after anti-Semitism.

Now that the Vatican archives are being released from 1929 thru 1939 wait for the spate of rubbish suggesting that Pope Pius was collaborating with the Nazis. But why publish the truth when spin doctoring can increase advertising revenue due to the ratings game?

Whatever's good for the wallet hey Rosie?

Thanks for the shibboleths Rosie, exit, stage left!!

Off Topic But........
Greg Weston is showing his Librano bias again in the Ottawa sun, here's a letter I wrote to him this morning.....

Greg Weston, misses his cut

Psst...Ah.. Greg,..your ideology is showing...

I heard from a little birdie, that Greg's cut from the Librano (bribe reporters slush fund),
has been put towards paying down Canada's debt.
Sorry Greg, but your fake indignation regarding the money has to go somewhere, is wearing a little thin.
Silver spoon Liberal/Socialists such as yourself, are so out of touch it isn't funny anymore, for your information it's Starbucks that sells $5.00 coffee's, a large double double at Tims goes for around $1.60...(get with the program man).
You can't be a proper Librano propagandist, without correct info.....

Ps. could you point me in the direction of your article/story regarding how much the Paul Martin Liberals (stole) er..increased the old age pension payout to seniors last year..?
...or the year before...or the year before that...etc...

Europe would love to get rid of this Pope.

The economic elites of most major European countries are just twitching to get their hands on all that cheap Turkish labour, and so a Pope that speaks the truth on Islam becomes both an embarassment and a hindrance.

Just look at the way France's education ministry and teachers unions have abandonned Robert Redeker, for example, and you'll have a good idea of what's happening.

Re Rosie: I wish that "she" would keep her big mouth shut. I just don't get it... Why do people like her????? Over rated, over paid, over done! She needs duck tape and lots of it.

Posted by: MaryM at October 3, 2006 11:32 AM

And for those with short memories (like the BBC), remember when the Ratzinger statement was made and the MSM and radical gay groups went ape-shit that the new Inquisition was going to start burning homosexual priests at the stake in a brutal, homophobic witch hunt? I guess Rosie and the BBC were on a cruise that two weeks.

poke who?

Posted by: tomax7 at October 3, 2006 12:43 PM

Stupid Rosie O'Donnel... this isn't the first attack she's made on Christians.

Now we have her, the lady who thinks being a fat lesby makes her somehow special and her opinion somehow important and necessarily valid, blaming a brand-new pope for the actions of a few so-called "priests" who are actually gay pedophiles who deliberately entered the priesthood to prey on young boys, for what happened.

Maybe she should focus her attacks on Islam instead... all the beheadings and homicide bombings and executions of women and homosexuals-Doesn't all that matter to her?

What a left-wing imbecile.

rosie oDONNNNNNNell is a 7th degree black belt hypocrite.

remember the news thingy about her condemnation of gun violence and push to have handguns banned or some such measure? when asked why her kid's bodyguards pack, she huffed about how they need to be protected. as if *other* non-celebrity parents' kids are not worthy of exactly the same level of protection.

So who can ever trust what you read, see, or hear about from the liberal left-wing news media neither the talking heads the birdcage linners or the rest can be trusted for the truth

Posted by: spurwing plover at October 3, 2006 2:40 PM

Posters should read the articles they link to.

For what it's worth, the Evening Standard got the pope's name wrong, not the BBC.

From the link provided(to canonlaw.info):
"Maybe it's British humor, you know, like the Standard asserting that Ratzinger's first name is "Thomas". (I don't get it; I mean, the man is only the pope, for crying out loud. Can't the Standard get his name right?)"

Facts should matter, especially when you're complaining about incorrect facts.

take rosie, find a big sturdy tree and add some rope.

problem solved.

All I can say about Rosie O'Donnell can be summed up in three words: Exit To Eden.

Thanks, Kate, for the lesson on the filter: It helps!!

Have fun in Maryland. Get a good rest, if that's possible...You're missed, but your blog hosts are doing a great job while you're away.

Go well the road.

"But Hell Bell's, whacking the the RCs is the last 'dishonourable' prejudice after anti-Semitism."

Just what I've been saying in some of my posts, Hans. The Judeo-Christian foundations of our country, responsible for our acacemic institutions, our medical institutions, and our judiciary--the reasons Muslims in the hundreds of thosands and other immigrants from non-democraatic countries are flocking to Canada, the U.S., Britain, Australia, N.Z., and Europe, all with the same Judeo-Christian foundations--are under attack daily.

The crazy thing about this is that we're sawing off the branch of the tree which connects us to the root of all of our freedoms, and we're going to go down when the saw makes it's final cut.

I think this is the definition of "stupid."

Posted by: 'been around the block at October 3, 2006 5:43 PM

Yup, NKAB, that's a pretty good definition of stupid.

I might add that the benighted Charter daily advances stupid in this country by promoting everything against the Judeo-Christian dispensation.

The centre's not holding, and, when the majority of Canadians finally becomes aware of this--that so many Canadians aren't already, astonishes me--they'll be complaining, "How did this happen?"

"Well, guys and gals, when they were needed, your eyes and ears seemed to be on strike. And you rejected, as 'complainers', those who saw the deluge coming." I guess there's nothing new under the sun.

Whoops, I mean BATB!

Liberals get wrong man in attack on Tory appointee
CNS
Peter O’Neil OTTAWA — The Liberals blundered yesterday while calling on the
Harper government to reverse its decision to hire former B.C. Tory candidate
Darrel Reid as top aide to Environment Minister Rona Ambrose, the Harper
government said. Opposition Leader Bill Graham, in addition to citing Reid’s
past comments on gay rights, abortion, and “sexual mores” while he was a senior
spokesman for Canada’s social conservative movement, raised a letter Reid
allegedly wrote to Western Standard magazine earlier this year.
The letter called on Muslims to “show that theirs is a religion of peace,
rather than a religion based on threats, intimidation and terrorism.”
“The rights of minorities in Canada are fundamental to our common
citizenship, yet the prime minister has named Reid as a key political operator
in his administration,” Graham declared in his opening remarks in question
period.
After reading the quote, Graham said Canadian Muslims are “people of peace.”
“Does the prime minister choose our Canadian Muslim voices or does he support
his recent political appointment?”
The author of the March 13 letter was signed “Darrell Reid.” However, the
Reid appointed as an aide spells his first name “Darrel.”
Senior Tory officials confirmed after consulting with Reid that he didn’t
author the letter.
“We expect an apology from Bill Graham for this unacceptable smear,”
Conservative MP Jason Kenney, Harper’s parliamentary secretary, said in an
interview.
“He got his facts wrong and he should face up to it.”
