If someone could do a clearer version of #20 -- Trinity Kate -- I'd make that my desktop wallpaper. On all my computers.

I'd probably print a few copies, too.

The judges have impeccable taste. Kudos to the artists. I have to say the best is the winner but I liked the 'Queen of the Blogosphere' as second.

Thought the terror alert was great, and should be posted with your comments policy.

The 'doo' on 'Breakfast at Kate's' is to die for.

The best nickname to come out of the contest is "Kriptonite Kate".

I'd have picked Queen Kate myself but then again it was the Russian judges fault.

I must also commend you on your kevlar undies. There are clearly a few readers out there with a nasty streak in them. Too bad they usually can't take as well as they try to give.

The Astronaut picture was good, but couldn't the artist have "airbrushed" the U.S. flag to a Maple Leaf?

And, I thought the Queen of the Blogosphere was the best, too.

Sir Kate Churchill:

"Never was so much owed, by so many, to so few small dead animals."

"We shall fight them on the beaches, on the sea, on land and in the air. This shall be the small dead animals finest hour!"

Kate,

The "Kryptonite Kate" photo has its own charms in light of this website.

Go Zod!

Kudos to all! I'm not sure what I'd pick for number one if I had to chose.

Best of Show - - 'Queen of the Blogosphere' by "Meadowlark"
Perfect choice, combination of facial expression and regal poise!

Good fun Kate.

And now let's take on Liberal Senator Joe Day and the other obstructionist Liberal senators for holding up passage of the proposed "Accountability Act."

Hey, you're cute when you're someone else. Er, you're cute now, but its not gender neutral enough for me to say that ordinarily. I like #14 by Cal. You look really good in long hair. Having the head of pierre as afashion accessory doesn't hurt... LOL! Love people with a self-deprecating sense of humour. Even feeble "Bob" got into the act, good for him. Who says tories aren't "inclusive"?

That should have been "Lady Kate Churchill" BTW. too much trite Feminist sexism with the "Sir".

Thanks all for the really good laugh this AM.

I enjoyed almost all the entries except, as usual, the one from Bob.

Being the Queen, you could ban him just for spite. /s

I wouldn't make it my wallpaper, no offence, Kate, but I thought it a rather graceful effort, with Kate's head in proportion to "her" body.

'Thought the three winning entries probably deserved their places, but I did like Katie-Go-Lightly; a little elegance never hurts and is highly underrated these days. 'Queen's jewels are pretty, but a little heavy.

And THEN there's Winnie. You're doing your part, Kate, just like him, and often under adverse circumstances with eedjits criticizing. He liked cigars; do you?!

Breakfast at Tiffany's ... er, Kate's is the best

Posted by: Wimpy Canadian at September 7, 2006 7:34 PM

Lickmuffin owes me. (I like to call it "The Katrix".)

The Churchill one is too funny. "I have nothing to offer but blood, sweat, and small, dead animals."

The winner is the best, Baroness Kate Churchhill. You are in good company in that chair. I agree with what Hans Rupprecht said about that cut and paste - Katy Couac (bad spelling - the new new newsgal on ABC)eat your heart out!
I watched part of PMSH's appearance on CPAC today Joe. Our Prime Minister put the little gopher looking ex CBC guy, Bunson (used to work for the Cretian) in his intellectual cross hairs and demolished him - another sda - I laughed out loud. Bunson suggested that the Conservatives would like to win the next election on the 'backs' of the senate if the senate held up the Conservative government's reforms - PMSH said don't give me the oppertunity! heh. Bunson scurried back into his hole but he was dead meat in all but the literal sense.
Like you, Joe Molnar, I think something very funny could be done with this information - that Senator Day is really pathetic. Those parasites are good entertainment - this could be a truly Canadian Cultural Circus under the right 'manager'. We should get a few laughs out of that House of Hangers on because they clearly do not give two hoots about the country - only their 'position,' paychecks, and 'pay-backs' were in the hearts and minds of those old hooligans. It was SO OBVIOUS. Should be mandatory viewing for all Canadians who pay taxes.

Breakfast at Kate’s; 5.9 from the East German judge.

Posted by: Bernie at September 7, 2006 10:23 PM

jema54 points out that "[Senator]Munson suggested that the Conservatives would like to win the next election on the 'backs' of the senate if the senate held up the Conservative government's reforms"...and that "PMSH said 'don't give me the opportunity!"

It was PMSH's presentation as much as what he said that was just perfect. He didn't even look up when Munson asked the question. He was writing something, he continued writing, he waited a few seconds before answering, and then dryly intoned the "'don't give me the opportunity" zinger.

The Prime Minister isn't given enough credit for his comedic abilities--I guess because they're always at the expense of our pompous and humourless members of the MSM and PPG.

Go, Steve, go!

Damn Mike, I wish I had thought of that. Also, I didn't quite manage to get rid of all of Kevin Bacon's hair... and the lighting isn't quite right... oh well, the limitations of Microsoft Paint, and my own artistic talents, I guess.

Lickmuffin owes me.

Wow! Thanks, dorkafork!

Posted by: Lickmuffin at September 8, 2006 10:13 AM

And I had a perfect picture ready to use, a gorgeous topless lass on a tropical beach. Then Kate said it had to be "work safe", which she clarified to be "not pornographic". Didn't want to spend a couple of hours Photoshopping, then see it proverbially left on the editing room floor. ;-)

All grumbling aside, High Fives to Buster! Well done! :-)

Hey, Kate, did they take away your cigar? Great photo and symbolism. Fun too. Thanks!
