Should be a good one for Rider Fans. Thanks to the bomber fans making the trip west for your money but you will find no joy on the football field for your team. GO RIDERS GO
Posted by: RagingKozak at September 1, 2006 2:35 PMGO STAMPS
freeze out the esks.
the labour day classic. the "only" labour day game
Posted by: cal2 at September 1, 2006 3:37 PMIf Riderfans think they are coming out of this thing with a victory, they are delusional. Glenn + Stegall = a happy drive home down the number one. GO BLUE!
Posted by: JJ at September 1, 2006 3:46 PMI wonder if Barrett will be gone if they lose this one?
Posted by: Kevin at September 1, 2006 3:51 PMI do hope that Rocky gets the start. You don't replace someone when they are on a roll.
Posted by: Kevin at September 1, 2006 3:53 PMAs I watch the game with my Bomber-cheering buddies, I'll be secretly chanting, "Go Riders!" in my head.
Posted by: Tolerant Winnipeg Resident at September 1, 2006 4:36 PMGreen is the colour,
Football is the game.
We're all together,
And winning is our aim.
So cheer us on,
Through the sun and the rain.
Saskatchewan Roughriders
is our name!
Go Riders!
Posted by: lance at September 1, 2006 4:37 PMWatch the teams split the Labour Day Classic and the Banjo Bowl next week....But each on the road.
Nah, on second thought, the Bombers have their best QB back and the Roughies looked sharp roughing up the *snicker* Ti-cats.
Bombers take this weekend's in a close one and next week's by a large margian.

Remember....you are talking about Saskatchewan :)
Are you folks nuts? Who cares when the mighty Lions are playing the Als?
Posted by: BCer at September 1, 2006 7:38 PMReal football starts Thurs. nite, but if you must:

Too bad I am on call for work. My wife will be taking our young lad to the game and I get to watch from home.
Go Jolly Green! Just to keep ahead of the Esks :-)
Danny will last the season, butr be gone after the lights are turned out on this year.
Cheers
Posted by: HaySeed at September 1, 2006 8:50 PMPshaw,
Even if Sask wins, they still have to beat the Ottawa Roughriders, and a hear that both Russ Jackson and Ronny Lancaster are healthy.
Message to the Hack:
Make fun of the Riders beating the TiCats all you want, but the TiCats are the same team that beat the Bombers earlier this season.
Go Riders!
Posted by: The Hold at September 2, 2006 12:07 AMGo 'riders, but most of all GO STAMPS GO!!
Posted by: Em at September 2, 2006 12:40 AMBanjo Bowl: An event that kicks off with a parade of illitrate hicks in pick-up trucks, their cleft-paletted in tow, thundering down number one to Winnipeg. Only to be disappointed
Posted by: Don at September 2, 2006 8:43 AMGo Eskimos!
Posted by: Ryan at September 2, 2006 3:58 PMThe Riders need to win this game and the next to clinch a playoff spot. I think Mr.Barrets job's on the line.
Posted by: ok4ua at September 3, 2006 4:42 PMWow what a game :)
Riders powered through the bombers. Go Green.
umm the bombers did good too. They scored more points than Hamilton against us.... (if you count the touchdown and the kickoff point resulting from a phony unnecessary roughness penalty) *snicker*
Can't wait for the Banjo Bowl so's we can do it again.
Posted by: Barcs at September 3, 2006 11:04 PMSo if "illitrate hicks in pick-up trucks, their cleft-paletted in tow" beat the Bombers, what does that make Winninpeg?
Ha ha, time to gloat.
Posted by: Kevin at September 5, 2006 12:32 PMThe riders kicked butt. I was there. It was a dull game but we won.
