One of our regular commentors has come up with an idea so utterly groundbreaking in its originality that it deserves to be stolen!

With a long weekend coming up, and lots of you sitting at your keyboards looking for something to do while the blogosphere slows to a crawl, it's a perfect time for a contest. Here are the rules:
1, Download the original and use it to create your own photoshop of "Kate" (or KKKate, KHate, per your politics).
2. Save your work in jpg format. Keep the size down under 100 kb.
3. Image must be work safe.
4. Email your entry (max. 3) as an attachment.
5. Indicate whether you want your real name used, a link to your blog, etc.
6. Contest closes midnight EST Monday, September 4.
A blue-ribbon panel of judges has been hand selected to determine the winners.
SEND YOUR ENTRY BY EMAIL ATTACHMENT ONLY. Please don't host it on your blog or post a preview in the comments. All submissions will be published on SDA after entries close, (or in a gallery, if there are enough).
1st Prize is a $25 donation to the registered charity of the winner's choosing.

BTW: Is first prize enough for volpe's club?
Posted by: Texas Canuck at September 1, 2006 8:00 AMI dunno, Kate...Can you excuse clothes on the dog?
Posted by: Henry at September 1, 2006 8:16 AMIt's the wallpaper behind them that I object to.
Posted by: Mississauga Matt at September 1, 2006 8:21 AMI've been thinking of updating the pic on the side for a while now. Maybe this is a good way to retire it!

Posted by: Kate at September 1, 2006 10:19 AMKate, you're a 'study in terrific' -- giving credit WHERE CREDIT IS DUE. I think the membership of this board can be rightly proud in that your personhood is the best Canada possesses. Sincerely.
Posted by: Canadian(n)a at September 1, 2006 11:16 AMI checked out Jeff's website and I can bet he will get more hits because of the link to SDA than he has ever had before. He will find out how influencial Kate really is. As an aside I looked at some of Jeff's other posts and they are typical insipid Librano pap. He fails to grasp that Kate's influence come from a solid facts and a great sense of humour. He also fails to understand that many more people will discover of Saskatchewan treasure SDA and increase her readership. Thanks Jeff for your contibution to the conservative cause.
Posted by: ruralroots at September 1, 2006 11:41 AMKate, because you posted publically on the other site, I'll respond publically here.
Maybe use a little more tact when responding, as in avoid using a name as a swear word few of your readers adhire to very deeply, that is the name of Jesus.
You're in the big leagues now, things you say and do in the public affect people more so than say a peon like me.
cheers
tom

WHO is the Zombie behind ZOMBIETIME?
He claims to be a "photoblogger" who lives in San Francisco. For fun, he attends protests by people of opposite political inclinations to his own — the extreme left. He turns their placards against them, takes photographs and posts the images on his site.
In this vein, his happy snaps of the 2006 World Naked Bike Ride are well worth a look....

Posted by: Richard Ball at September 1, 2006 1:13 PMYes I also agree that the dog has been photoshopped in, just for the simple fact it's not a Schnauzer.

Kate, like the tatto, but your arms need some work.
Posted by: missing link at September 1, 2006 7:46 PMSweet Jeebus, here's a creepy thought - what if jeff did this so he could see his imaginary perfect woman?
Posted by: dean juke at September 1, 2006 8:37 PMI know the one I'd do. A girl, a rifle, cut offs and an enourmous grin. Remember that one Kate?
Posted by: hungry_valley at September 2, 2006 1:25 AMWow... Kate's arms are bigger than mine!
Apparently I've been lazy lately...
Posted by: Canadian Sentinel at September 2, 2006 3:39 AMThis can't have been photoshopped. There's no Green Helmet Man.
Posted by: DrD at September 2, 2006 12:14 PMI could swear that tat says Vote for Jack Layton.
