He was probably just drunk and didn't know what he was saying.

oh well, we can laugh at mork from ork. But judging from some of the visceral anti-Canadian rants out of Rush Limbaugh's mouth; he was probably riding in the same space ship. ;)

I don't read anything in this. Fans of Williams realize that he makes fun of everything and anything, even himself.
Posted by: Texas Canuck at August 12, 2006 1:04 PMWhat's your excuse for the dribble you puke out everyday Kate?
Posted by: Steve V at August 12, 2006 1:06 PMSteve V.
whats your excuse for being here with us other 10000 everyday?
Robin Williams doesn't call for the authorities to "get tough" on drug users.
Given Williams' own acknoweldgement of his history of drug use, I think he's going after Limbaugh's own history of hypocrisy.
What does anyone care about a lying, racist, hypocrite like Limbaugh anyway?
Posted by: thwap at August 13, 2006 8:27 AMCome on Kate, I thought "Club Medicated" was a very funny comment.
Rush makes fun of people too (sometimes not that nicely).
Let and let live, please.
Kate:
Must you ALWAYS BLINDLY support any and all form the extreme right wing and defend them against any and all criticism? Are they all infallible gods (particularly, in your case, the American ones)?
Do you put any actual thought into what you blather on about, or is it simply "Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Harper, Bush etc... = good and always right, Those who disagree = always wrong" ?
Yes, Robin Williams is an idiot, but Rush is a dangerous idiot with followers, like you, who actually believe his schtick (and it is schtick).
That you have emerged as relatively popular in this tiny corner of the blogosphere is testament to the inconsequential nature of the political blogging world (puhleeze don't you dare call it "analysis") and the incestuous and cloistered nature of the beast where like-minded people congregate to become even more closed minded.
In the old days, people like Rush, local crazies like perpetually drunk David Warren and many of your fellow "Blogging Tories" (as well as, of course, idiot bloggers of the left) were relegated to railing against (insert particular evil here)on street corners whilst wearing tinfoil hats.
Gosh, it all seems so much more important here - BUT IT'S NO DIFFERENT.
Posted by: canadian2 at August 13, 2006 11:36 PMWell i like "mork" and i like rush obviously for different reasons-Williams can be devastatingly funny (tho hollywood wrong on any political matter) and Rush is nearly always "right" in his current take of the political scene. Their common foible seems to me to have bean handled by both in a sensible honourable way, both sought and received medical help recognizing their need. Williams is funny and rush is usually right!
Posted by: paul j at August 14, 2006 5:36 PMWilliams, years ago talking about his coke addiction. " Cocaine made me feel like a new man,the only problem was that the new man wanted a line too". He is a comedian, after all,Give him a break.
