Posted by: shawn at July 8, 2006 8:05 PMIs that whats called a Martinian slip?
Posted by: Red Dodge at July 8, 2006 8:14 PMa Martian slip is invading Norway--this, I think, is a Freudian slip--i.e.---error might appear to be trivial, bizarre or even nonsensical, but shows some deeper significance on analysis.
Posted by: George at July 8, 2006 8:40 PMI thought a Martian slip was when Marvin admitted to Bugs that he wanted to destroy Earth because it was blocking his view of Venus. Oh, Martinian, sorry. Beautiful -- gotta admire consistency! Reminds me of a conversation I had with a Brit. I asked him what he thought of Canada after seven years in country. He replied that when he first landed up he saw a sign which read: "Drink Candada Dry", and he's been trying to do it ever since.

OTTAWA (CP) - A whopping $829,000 loan writeoff to one of Canada's smallest parties has once again raised questions about legal loopholes that allow people to lend politicians and their organizations large sums of money. cnews
