Is there some way to independently confirm this, as for instance through DND? If it's true, then this guy definitely needs our help, financial contributions included.

Can Charlie Company or others in the field be contacted to find out how we can help, directly?

Three out of four Canadians show immunity to MSM fever.

From the Black Rod post:

The question:
Do you strongly support, somewhat support, somewhat oppose, or strongly oppose the use of Canada's troops for security and combat efforts against the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan?

The answer:
58 percent of respondents said they strongly or somewhat supported the mission. But if you added those who "somewhat" opposed, you discover that almost 3 out of 4 Canadians favour, or barely object to some element of Canada's military commitment to Afghanistan.

I sent an e-mail to My MP, about this, and I urge everyone else to do the same.

Canada owes this guy.  His efforts potentially contributed to mission success, safety of our men and women, and to understanding between our troops and the Afghans they interacted with.

He put himself on the line for our people — for us, in effect, by proxy.

Is this for real? Can we validate this?
If this man has been preforming a duty for the CAF, then he should be privy to the same treatment as the troops. I find it hard to believe that he has been "forgotten" by the the Canadian government when they have made our involvement so public. Why would they stay so secretive of something so politically damaging?

Er, if it is indeed "politically damaging," I think you just answered your own question, mang.

...sad, indeed sad. If true, the Liberal mentality streaches across the oceans.

Use 'em and loose 'em.

I will also write my MP.

Sad.

I know this man, he worked for us at the Provincial Reconstruction Team in Kandahar. This is a horrible shame. I hope someone steps up and does the right thing.
