And The Search For A New Liberal Leader Goes On

NASA;

To get desired groundspeeds and lighting conditions for the test images, researchers programmed the cameras to shoot while the spacecraft was flying about 1,547 miles or more above Mars' surface, about nine times the range planned for the orbiter's primary science mission. Even so, the highest resolution of about 8 feet per pixel - an object 8 feet in diameter would appear as a dot -- is comparable to some of the best resolution previously achieved from Mars orbit.

More preliminary photos.

That swirly-looking mound towards the right... did Kate take one of the puppies for a walk on Mars one day? And not pick up after him? Oh, dear... the makings of an interplanetary incident... over a dog turd?!

LOL

Actually, jokes aside, the Apollo astronauts did leave litter on the moon. On each lunar landing mission, the capsule's lander base and various other metallic things were left.

(At least they didn't start any forest fires or contribute to Apocalyptic Lunar Warming. :-)

Of course, there doesn't seem to be anyone around on Mars to get their shorts into a wedgie over a little space waste. So, joking aside, I think we're ok wrt the trash issue.

...where's Marvin?

Is that a Walmart sign I see near the middle of the picture?

That's good enough to steal. Which I have. Heh.

Yep, it explains a lot.
I have been wondering where some of those candidates came from.
Thanks Kate, for clearing that up.

Doesn't that look like a frog's leg in the picture...is that the one we broke on the 'new fiberal prototype' ? ... ok, where's the left or right button?

Iggy to run

I hope there won’t be many who will be surprised and he needs to watch out for this guy

BTW, I wonder how the membership battles are going. I don’t see it at the levels we had for last leadership but I know for sure in GTA lists are being made and many are wiating to collect thousands of forms for their leaders. After all this is politics and the battle will have to be won at the riding level getting your slate of delgeates elected.

With the advent of forms online, I wonder if it make it easy for candidates to push for memberships.

If the party doesn’t want what happened last time, then they should put a blanket ban that no riding should be allowed to change their membersip fee or should it be allowed to be under $10.

Does anyone know of $1 membership riding associations existing now? +

Well, perhaps the Libs should hold their leadership convention on Mars. It would attract more public attention and likely a better class of candidates. :))

OT I know, but may save you loss if you are ready for it...

Tony, that's at least the third time. Enough, please.

magnificent desolation.

at least we are alone in this small corner.

You would think they would know by now. They will never find a Liberal Leader looking ON the rocks they have to look UNDER the rocks. This explains why we are still waiting.

Thanks Steve D. -- my guess there is not much slime on Mars either, so perhaps they are wasting their time. Best to search the bowels of downtown TO or Vancouver or Montreal, where there is slime aplenty.
