First Liberal: Scott?
Second Liberal: Yes, Sir?
First Liberal: Do you hear the horses?
Second Liberal: Go back to sleep, sir.
First Liberal: Their eyes are so blue.... *

To paraphrase another famed Red strategist, Strelnikov:
"They claimed we had the same abortion policy as the Tories. We denied the charge, of course, but the village was burned, the point was made."

"The campaign that [Martin] and his minions have waged over the last eight weeks -- by turns empty, dishonest, hysterical, vicious, crude, demagogic, shrill, incoherent, divisive, xenophobic, hypocritical, not to say staggeringly incompetent -- makes his impending departure from the scene a positive delight. I am literally counting the hours."

Guess he wont be over at the Martin's, the reid's, the Herle/Oleary's or the Murphy's for brunch anytime soon.

Posted by: Bernie at January 21, 2006 5:20 PMPaul Martin's "Dean scream"
I just received a note that Paul Martin went "bonkers" at a speech in Brampton today: "hoarse, shouting, chanting Belinda Stronach's name, shouting back and forth with some wacko supporter in the audience."
I'll keep my eyes peeled for a TV clip of this -- if anyone finds it first, feel free to post it in the comments thread.
I'm sure our home-made video bloggers will turn it into an appropriate clip!

Posted by: maz2 at January 21, 2006 6:49 PMI saw the speech and yes PMPM was sounding a bit strange. That being said, the most offensive part of the speech was having to see BS's smug mug right behind Martin. After the speech Martin did a press conference in which he continued with the same fear and smear crap. The new twist was that since Stephen Harper hasn't travelled outside North America, he couldn't possibly know anything about foriegn affairs. I guess Paul didn't see Harper at Juno Beach in 04 at the D-Day Ceremony. The Conservatives have already answered to this crap on their website. Just a followup note. In Martins speech about D-Day back in 04 he refered to the Canadian troops invading NORWAY. To have any credibility in foriegn affairs, at least know Canadian history and grade eight geography. I guess his speech writer must of had too many BEERS.
Posted by: Don at January 21, 2006 10:52 PMWatching CNN while in Germany. They actually have a story on the Canadian election; mainly since PMPM is not winning.
