Very cool, Kate.

(And now we know CalgaryGrit's name.)

Posted by: MikeR at January 20, 2006 9:53 AM

Oh dear.. was CG anonymous until now?

Posted by: Kate at January 20, 2006 10:12 AM

It is just a matter of time before the National Post calls and offers you a position as a columnist.

Posted by: WalterP at January 20, 2006 10:12 AM

The BBC? SWTE indeed!

This paragraph above all others rings true:

"Politicians should beware of the internet. The balance of power has shifted - information on issues and debate is no longer top-down, no longer confined to an elite few in politics and media, while the audience is forced to listen."

Thanks for all your hard work, Kate.

Oh, probably not. I just never knew before :) Posted by: MikeR at January 20, 2006 10:35 AM

Kudos for Kate.

A shining light in the blogosphere; we like that mischievious twinkle in your eye.

I always thought CG was a girl!

Posted by: maggie at January 20, 2006 11:02 AM

Kate,
BBC, congradulations! I think that the volume of bloggers that "tune in" to your blog daily, speaks for its self. I scares me to think where we would be right know without the hard UNPAID work that you and the other blogs have done. The constant pressure on scandal and corruption. We sure can't take anything for granted, voters in this country are a very odd bunch. I still believe good conquers evil in the end.
I Enjoy your site so much. Then knowledge that I have learned from this site is amazing....(AND we can have a laugh too!)

Canadian Bloggers have shaped the nature of this election...for the better...keeping the MSM bias in tow and breaking more scandals of the corrupting in status quo Ottawa politics.

I think even foreign political observers make that distinction....congrats to you Kate and all the BT bloggers who have set out to make a difference...you certainly have and we will have a more balanced, rational, factual, ethical period in Canadian politics and public discourse for it.

Kate,

When you make Al Jezeera... then I'll be really impressed....

But making the BBC is pretty cool too ;)

Kate, as I've posted before, you and your fellow Bloggers have done a great service for your country. That the MSM has been forced to be even somewhat more honest this time is mainly due to you and other Bloggers.

I think they call it Freedom of Speech and Freedom of the Press! You rock! :-)

Hey Kate!

Congratulations! Well done, enjoy this site and the retort from the commentors are worth it also.

WAIT A MINUTE!

Poor Beeb. They do try. Perhaps.

Check out the pic next to Kate's section.

Posted by: red ant at January 20, 2006 2:03 PM

Yes, they should have at least got the photo right. Looks like they have Steve from AngryinGWN instead...oops!

Posted by: Lew at January 20, 2006 2:23 PM

Heh, said over on the other post here that Kate should change hair dressers as she looks a little thin at the top...

Journalistic quality - right, even funnier being British.

Posted by: tomax7 at January 20, 2006 2:47 PM

Kate,
Congrats! Thanks to you and all the other conservative bloggers out there for steering political discourse back where it belongs.

Posted by: Doug at January 20, 2006 3:30 PM

I happen to like the volcano cam.

It goes very well with the earthquake map, I think.

Posted by: Kate at January 20, 2006 3:36 PM

Just teasing ya Kate about the Voc cam. But half the time it is fuzzy or offline. Thought if ya had a cam shot out the window of your house showing the Sask landscape.

Heard you can see your dog run away for three days...

Posted by: tomax7 at January 20, 2006 3:42 PM

I heard if you stand on a dime you can see to the rockies.

Watching the polls and worry about the greens splitting the vote and letting the conservatives in? Fear not if you use your vote wisely; watch listen read, a bit, each riding is different. When you see a strong showing of the conservatives and few liberal signs it’s a good chance that you’re in a CONS. Verses NDP so voting green might not help you see your desires met voting GREEN they take from the NDP and liberals with very few very soft conservatives. The conservative party’s history shows little regard for the environment or the poor. Just look at the main change of lowering the GST this does nothing for the poor or anyone making less then 50,000 a year. Look around the world at countries that have conservative governments, the US in debt for generations in just 4 years, Australia violence and racial unrest because of poverty. Where would Canada fit, a police state to keep the masses in check?

Vote wisely

Posted by: sam at January 20, 2006 4:58 PM

Vote wisely
Vote Conservative!

Posted by: Rottigirl at January 20, 2006 5:15 PM

if i vote green, do i get a free joint?

Posted by: tomax at January 20, 2006 5:16 PM

Sammy did you say "police state" ?

The police state has begun, and it's brought to us by the liberal party.
Police states always come from the left.
Thanks for that.

The libs know where every one of our peaceful law-abiding patriots guns are, and are planning to sieze them so there will be no dead liberals when the liberal judges cancel elections,... which happens immediately after the lieberals ditch the Not Withstanding Clause, which they promised to do if re-elected.

Thanks, everybody!

I know they interviewed Steve, too. Wish they had used it, because he deserves a lot of recognition, too.

Posted by: Kate at January 20, 2006 10:15 PM

Congratulations Kate. Outstanding job. Personally, I think you were the best of the four that were shown on the BBC webpage.
