Do You Like Puppies, Mr. Layton?

I've been subjecting myself to the CBC National this evening, and as I type, Jack Layton is before a studio audience in their "Your Turn" segment.

So far, 5 questions have been "selected" by the CBC producers, and each one is no more than a preamble to allow Layton to fill in the gaps with NDP campaign ads.

I fully expect question number 6 to be "Do you like puppies, Mr. Layton, and how much?"

How pathetic. I'm turning it back to Drew Carey.

Stephen Harper is on Mansbridge on Thursday night according to his office. Apparently when CBC asked him for Jan 16 (last night) he had a prev. engagement and offered another night which was not convenient for CBC. Well as you know each night Mansbridge would say they had asked Haper but they were still waiting to hear It was all bs and lies. Harper's office were waiting to hear from them. Bastards! I am quite sure it will torture for him tomorrow night with all the "libs" getting through with their questions. Oh well. No one watches that pussy mansbridge anymore!

I enjoyed Jim Harris putting the boot to the media while Mansbridge lamely tried to defend the mass media ignoring a national party over the last 18 months with a bit of a whine, "But you're on TV nowwwwww".

I forgot to watch Layton, I'd had all the election news I could stand today from Rick Mercer's report. He had some funny stuff tonight, it was as if Harper were speaking right to Rick, and slightly over the shoulder of the interviewer lady who was staring slightly over Harper's shoulder too so she wouldn't miss her next line that never comes.

Has anyone else noticed that Smilin' Jack has a profile very like Lenin?
How far left of centre do you suppose...

CP moved a photo of Layton a couple of weeks ago, which I don't think was used by many papers - it was a closeup, full profile of him, head tilted slightly upwards, with strongly contrasted lighting, and it looked *exactly* like one of the "heroes of the revolution" banners you'd see in the Soviet Union. I was really struck by the resemblance, mentioned it to a few journo colleagues, but got the usual blank stares.

Peter Pansbridge. the head of neverneverland journalism looked like a infomercial for the Liberals tonight.

much like the staged interview with Martin last week. Come on PMPM re-answer the staged debate questions without sounding like a bubbling slurring idiot. all staged by Peter Pansbridge , Im surprized we didnt get a reality check from the ultimate in Liberal toadies, Kneel MacDonald.

Harper must stand strongly with the Military if we are to stand up for Canada. Peacekeeping is a myth that was started by Lieberals to assuage a public while they made huge cuts to the forces. Peacekeeping is what happens to police officers when they go to a domestic dispute, the only one hurt is usually the cop. Dangerous thinking. Our military must always be a tactical offensive group. Sure go in and assist someone but never forget that there is an enemy there as well. Example Bosnia. Don't anyone tell me our role was Peacekeeping.
Layton is typical of the Petain and appeaser types. Coward. If you want freedom you have to be willing to die for it.

I think Jack is feeling the squeeze left. If Harper takes up the middle ground . PMPM has to move further and further left leaving Jack in the box, with a good possibility of a major shut out.

Now PMPM has turned his unloaded, unregistered mouth gun on him.

Harper going last on CBC is brilliant .. accident or not... SH gets the last word, the last appearance before the National's large audience. It all works into the appearance and the perception of momentum for the good guys.

BTW. Given recent Martin v Layton attacks. Am I crazy to think Martin and Layton fighting over 3rd place!?

I'm worried about the Mansbridge appearance. The people there haven't exactly been fair on us in the past, and I'm worried that he'll slant against Harper.

People can say anything they want about election media coverage, but the media coverage that really matters is the coverage in the last week of the campaign. I'm crossing my fingers for a strong appearance by Harper on Thursday.

I am not worried about Harper. He is a pretty sharp fellow. He can handle Mansbridge and the CBC.

Don't worry about Stephen, worry about Peeter foaming at the mouth and ruining Stephen's suit. It could be gross. In Canada. On CBC. A foaming at the mouth. Cornflakes on the counter. That cereal killer. In Canada. On CBC. I am er well, that is to say, let me say unequivically, I want to be very clear er, I might be making this up.

Don't worry, you saw how Harper handled the debates.
Mansbridge will not be a problem.

Peter Pansbridge: In light of the recent murders in Toronto what is your view of SS Marriage?
Harper: I dont see the relationship.
Peter Pansbridge: In other words SS Marriage is not a relationship in the eyes of your party?
Harper: I dont believe we said anything like that.
Peter Pansbridge: If you win, as a journalist from CBCPravda whats my chance of being the next Governor General? Being that I have been pandering to the government for years.PLEASE ,Pleassssse.Pretty please with a toupe on top.

Layton likes whatever Martin want's him to like...as long as there's a couple of tax bucks in it....Layton is leading a party that should be renamed the "Non Descript Pimp" party...the party that pimps their support to any corrupt regime for a price.

We can only hope the predictions are correct and the Pimp party loses ground for their shameless support of a criminal unconstitutional regime.

Layton likes Poodles actually, he'll even be one for the Liberal Party.

Posted by: Dog at January 18, 2006 10:26 AM

Maybe it's the Drew Carey reference, but I read that as "Do you like my puppies."

Watch what way Peter leans on his chin, to the left or right. Does the slant mean he is biased.
