Deep In Texas Hill Country

... the Republicans have been conducting secret training camps;

“Stephen Harper and the Conservative Party have close ties with the (U.S.) Republican Party,” he said.

The Republicans, he noted, have sent “trainers” to Canada to indoctrinate Conservative Party MPs and staffers about ideology and policies advocated by the party led by President George Bush. As well, many Conservatives have attended training camps put on by the Republicans in the U.S. , Martin said.

So sayeth Liberal MP Keith Martin for Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca, who issued the news release while wrapped in tin foil, during a press conference held under his bed.

Given the success of Republicans electorally, this can only be considered more bad news for the Liberals.

Gift from Canada? COMMENTARY by Patrick Basham

Notice that it is labeled "COMMENTARY"

Does it say anywhere that Stephen Harper was receiving training from KKKarl Rove's Storm Troopers and Digital Brownshirts?

The LIEberals are on the run!

Bock, bock, bock, bock!

If they were trained using Karl Rove's strategy the Consevatives would be ahead in the Poll's by Landslide numbers.

Whatever happened to Dr Keith martin, the brave health-care innovator? RIP, he was a decent man; this new guy is a weasel.

Posted by: bushman at December 24, 2005 12:46 PM

Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca is home to the west coast naval base for Canada .. lots of big ships guns ... hot sailors. Hot sailors y'all. Keith, somewhat of a girly man .. may just be affected by all these years of exposure by the military presence in his life ... now he hears voices and imagines military things.

I grew up in Northern Ontario and now live on the west coast (not too far from keith baby) .. many times I wake up in cold sweat imagining that I have to get on the gum-boots and go out and shovel snow .. scrape windows .. like most of you are doing right now.

So you see, your childhood nightmares can warp you out when you are older ...

So that would be same Keith Martin who ran for the leadership of the Alliance/Reform/Conservative party who didn't get a sniff of winning so he crossed over to the lieberals instead.

It would be fitting this election if the likes of Keith Martin, Stronach,Dosanjh and of course Hedi(Dr.Donothing)Fry were looking for new employment.

Horny Toad

Liberals know the military would overwhelmingly vote Conservative. Just another reason to strangle the military.
Expansion of CXandaian forces by the Conservatives will pay electoral fruit in the long term.

Sauce for the gander, if true:

"James Carville worked as a paid political consultant to the Liberal Party of Canada."

Complete rundown on Carville here: http://www.canadafreepress.com/2002/media120202.htm

Yeh, and Doc Martin used to be one of the good guys, but turned his coat like Bryson, Stronach et al, not to forget ex-provincial Tory in Manitoba, John Loewen, now trying to knock off Steven Fletcher for the Liberals.

Posted by: CMP at December 24, 2005 1:32 PM

Hey CES: so your saying jtf2 is there? Harper asked that ? in the house just before parliment desolved. Of course Martin turned it over to the defense boss Graham looking for an out to the question, Graham stated he will not talk about operations in the house. So therefore that would mean Martin who is the only person in Canada that can authorize Gen.Hillier to do it, has sent our troops there after saying he would not. That would also mean when he was talking about Harper sending troops that he actually mean't himself. Talk about two faced.

Bryan...sound perfect to me..

Damn, caught again. Yes, I confess, this is the "safe house" for Canucks heading to Texas Hill country. And everyone thought that the Chicken Ranch in La Grange was closed!

How in the hell did a Lieberal get voted into office in the heart of Navy country? I didn't think any of those timeless stoneheads... err hippies knew how to vote.

So Duke grew up in Northern Ontario??? That explains a lot. Let me guess: the Soo? Naa, probably White River.

The gullability of the Esquimalt-Juan de Fuca electorate is astounding to send the likes of Keith Martin as their representative to Ottawa.

Posted by: Robert Bedet at December 24, 2005 2:47 PM

I don't know why anyone would be upset.

I was just looking at my copy of "I'm Dreaming of a WHITE Christmas" newsletter where it was talking about this very issue.

Amerikkka welcomes our KKKanuck KKKanadian friends for the annual torchlight procenium parade in the Albert Speer Memorial Stadium.

This will be followed by traditional Republican loyalty oaths to be sworn with hands on the apocalyptic sections of Revelations.

We wish all of our KKKanadian brothers the merriest of KKKmas. (Don't forget to enjoy the wassail.)

I like Keith, personally, he's a nice guy. I have worked on several of his campaigns in the past, including his Canadian Alliance leadership bid.

That said, it is sad to see this good man jumping in bed with the Librano$. To see him now running this type of negative campaign against his old friends really saddens me.

I tried to persuade him to stay with the Conservative Party when the rumours were flying about him jumping to the Liberals - no luck on that front as we all know. Too bad, he was a fresh face with some really good ideas, and had he hung in there, could have easily been the Leader of the party at some future date, perhaps even Prime Minister.

Now, he is just another Liberal who will soon be taken out with the trash.

Tex .. north bay

Posted by: Duke at December 24, 2005 3:48 PM

Duke,
Ah, yes. That explains it ;-) From Port Arthur myself but have kin over in NBay/Mattawa.

Back to reality, What would make someone jump from Alliance to Liberal of all things? To change to a party because of your beliefs and conscience is one thing but after all the proven crap the Martin gang have done!!! He probably just wanted to continue to sniff Belinada's chair with out looking out of place on that side of the Commons.

Posted by: Texas Canuck at December 24, 2005 3:59 PM

I think Keith is a closet gay and it was getting too hot in the conservative party for him .. plus he thought his career would last longer in the 'winning' party.

Good to know you are a countryman Tex

Martin jumped the rails of good judgement some years ago when he burned his bridge to his only link to sanity and ethical public service....his latest tinfoil hat mutterings are a sad attempt to do damage to the party he jumped ship from before the voters in his riding punish his turncoat egotistic ass in this elelction.

You Goin' down Doc Martin and all your X-Files story telling will only oil the process.

Goldurn it, that explains all those Canadian license plates I saw on big black cars headed south when I was driving down to San Antonio from Dallas for Thanksgiving vacation! There must have been at least 10,000 of them, all with wild-eyed guys wearing "Banned for Life" T-shirts at the wheel, and "I Love Steven Harper" bumper stickers........

Most seemed headed for somewhere around Johnson City. I've got it - LBJ is spearheading a massive conservative revolution from beyond the grave, courtesy of the Democratic party - you know, the folks who are so "Conservative" here in Amurika?

Jim Pook said: "Now, he is just another Liberal who will soon be taken out with the trash."

True enough Jim... but I contend that trash attracts trash so he ended up where his inner voice told him to go....to the dark side for the bad Buk$$....and now he will share the fate of his new found criminal friends courtesy of his darker instincts.

Cosmic recompense so to speak.

I was at the Reform/UA candidate meet and greet in Calgary a few years ago (as a non partisan special interest observer) when Martin was paraded in front of the wider party membership. I recall at that time commenting to my wife that I smelled too much liberal stink in his restrained hubris to trust him to be comfortble with grassroots policy making. I bet a friend he'd jump ship the moment he got some patronage candy from the PMO to deliver them his riding in a floor crossing if he won. At the time I recall thinking how he may even have been a connected liberal who didn't get a nomination so he swung a deal before the election to deliver the riding from a CA win. Guess I'll just have to learn to trust my instincts more.

Brother Rove has asked me to reach out to Keith Martin on this forum.

Keith, if you do not show up to pledge your loyalty and pick up your information kit and decoder ring, you will be restricted from attending Hard Liquor and Handgun Night (an evening for the whole family) at Texas Nascar Stadium. I know you would hate to miss it. Most Texans find it a perfect venue for relieving stresses after a hard week.

Keith, come back for your initiation ceremony before it is too late.

Texas hill country is insanely beautiful. I wouldn't be surprised in Chuck Guite starts wintering there now that his other hideout has been found.

I wish. I really, really wish. I really, really, really, really wish. Really. Where's your fairy godmother when you need her?
