I wonder what they would have said, if three years ago Iraqi bloggers Omar and Mohammed had been told they'd be standing one day in the Oval Office talking to the President of the United States?.
... without prior notice, Omar and Mohammed went to the Oval Office and met with President Bush! They said that the meeting lasted about a half hour, and the President was very interested in hearing the thoughts and opinions of Iraqi citizens first hand. He wasn't aware until then of the good things that Spirit Of America has been doing over there to help the Iraqi people and assist in their obtaining democracy. Omar joked that he got to meet POTUS and they didn't even search his pockets beforehand.
Update More from Jeff Jarvis. Cool stuff.

This is the coolest news of the week. I would love to see these guys interviewed on television, but I am not holding my breath in expectation. But just imagine how such a televised interview would shake the worldviews of so many people.

I dunno....
There's another mention here:

Posted by: Kathy K at December 11, 2004 8:11 AMthey probably don't want to make a big deal out of it. if it gets picked up in the arab press, they could be assassinated as cia agents (arab readers have speculated about that before in threatening emails to them). they are public figures now, after all, and something tells me they don't get a secret service detail when they are in iraq.
