The insufferable Mr. Kinsella pulled the same stunt when he was a "guest" on a talk radio show in Saskatchewan last year after the retirement of Jean Chretien. A caller raised the fact that Chretien's daughter was married to the son of Paul Desmarais (of Bombardier and Power Corporation fame), and was promptly interrupted by Mr.Kinsella who threatened to sue both the station and the caller.

How many suits do you think Warren can affors to maintain simultaneously in different jurisdictions? Maybe he could bring a reverse class action?
Posted by: Occam's Carbuncle at October 15, 2004 8:25 AMEr, that would be "affor-d". Damn these blunt fingertips.
Posted by: Occam's Carbuncle at October 15, 2004 8:27 AMIt looks like Ian plans to stand up to Mr. Kinsella. I'm going to send him a $50 cheque to help out with his legal expenses. I would encourage others who are able to do the same to help get Ian's back on this.
Posted by: Sean at October 15, 2004 9:29 AMKinsella is always threatening lawsuits. Remember the old Alberta Report? How often did he threaten that magazine and some of its reporters with suits. Since I havent heard of any of those going to Court I will assume they were dropped, as this one is likely to be.
Posted by: Mike P at October 15, 2004 11:25 AMGiven how lame his case is Kinsella is almost certainly not even going to file the suit.
However, it is important to keep making fun of him simply so he realizes free speech matters to bloggers.
But, if he does file against Ian, it would be a great thing to send Ian some money.
