Big Chief Spending Money

National Post;

After a statue of Queen Elizabeth was defaced, one would hope that at least the Crown’s representative in Canada would denounce the vandalism.

Such hopes were dashed when Governor General Mary Simon addressed the issue this week and seemed to actively encourage such criminality.

She not only refused to condemn the act, “I can’t say whether it’s right or wrong,” but condoned it, “I think it’s really important for Indigenous people to express themselves in whichever form they want.”

As the first Indigenous person to hold the title of governor general, Simon obviously knows she has a role to play in reconciliation. And, indeed, as an Indigenous person and the Crown’s representative, she has a foot in both camps and is ideally suited as a mediator.

But to endorse the vandalism of a statue of Queen Elizabeth will not put us any further along the path to reconciliation. If she wishes to be an outspoken advocate for Indigenous people, she might want to reconsider the job she’s in.

She’s not indecisive about the Queen’s currency.

  1. They saw the race relations in the USA, the endless grift (and excuses) that comes with it and thought that’d be great to have up here.

  2. Indian activists are in conflict of interest when in government positions of power. This woman sounds like an Indian activist as well as being a known grifter. Jody Wilson-Raybould, may have stood up to the Spawn-Fuhrer but set up billions in reparations while in power.

  3. “I can’t say whether it’s right or wrong,”
I think I’ve spotted the problem.

    1. Disgusting.
Wasn’t she scolding King Chucky for something a few weeks ago?

  4. This hate-filled biatch is only 50% Abo, and even that’s suspect ,and she’s married to a wimp of a White man who’s nuts have been cut off and placed in a jar by her.
My only hope is she got both jabs and is 3 or 4 times boosted

  5. I seem to recall the latest defacement included the misspelled/scrawled word: “colonial” or “settler” or the equivalent. How could this race-baiting grifter condemn the core of her argument for reparations against the “injustice” of natural human evolution.

Our culture now PRETENDS that boys can “become” girls (the native belief in 2-spirits) and now we PRETEND that native culture was just as evolved as European culture. It’s time to stop fooling ourselves.

  6. There has been a string of dismal appointments to this office. Simon is only the latest grifter here. Before her over the past two decades was the appalling Julie Payette, David Johnston. Michaele Jean and the truly dismal Adrienne Clarkson. Jean was reasonable. But the rest are simply complete shite. Of all of them, perhaps Clarkson was the worst. She carried on like she was some kind of aristocrat. Perhaps her CBC background was to blame.

    1. Yeah ….
You may have noticed that those appointments were made the current idiot in charge to show the wokeness of feminazis, the grievance racists, and all the victimhood malcontents.

    2. ahh… reasonable ??!!

She was a MASSIVE GRIFTER. just type Michaele Jean scandal into the gargler and see what you get.

20K on a piano…. let the peasants play guitar.

    3. I remember seeing Clarkson on TV back in the 90s. She was the host of some dry-as-dust arts show.

I also remember how her handlers kicked out a highschooler at the GG’s manor because he dared to bring up the cost overrun scandal while on a school trip there, and the subsequent damage control over that.

  7. “I think it’s really important for Indigenous people to express themselves in whichever form they want.”

Wow, she tops the totem pole.

    1. I agree but if we do it, it’s a hate crime, if they do it it’s understandable.

  8. If you don’t like colonialism, you are free to emigrate back to where your ancestors came from.

This includes First Nations who colonized the Americas by coming from Asia.

      1. And the Clovis came from somewhere else, JD. No telling who the Clovis kicked out when they arrived.

I think everyone should leave North America. Then Bigfoot can come out of hiding and once again live in peace in his homeland, along with Mrs. Bigfoot and all the little Feet.

        1. HR,”Kicked Out”?
          More likely “Ate them”.
Though I agree,”Save the Trees Free the Bigfeet”.

Time for the “We were here first peoples” to apologize for moving in on Bigfoot..
And is it not time they paid some repatriation for either, killing off all the Bigfoots friends, family and household pets for food and giggles, or being the plague carriers responsible for their demise.

And until the land is returned to The Bigfeet,we will have to operate by the “We was here first” rules..
          Me wants?
          Me takes.
          Dead can’t complain..
          Exterminate!.
