  1. You probably heard the latest news that Al Pacino, 83, announced that his girlfriend is pregnant.
A curious thing, don’t you think?
His announcement reminds me of a joke.

Al goes to his Doctor asking for any advice he may give to a man in his eighties who is about to be a father.
The Doc asked Al how he was feeling?
Al smiled and said “Things are great and I’ve never felt better. I now have a 29 year old girlfriend who is pregnant with my child.
So what do you think about that?”

The Doc considered Al’s question for a minute and then told Al he would like to tell him a story.
    Al said “Sure.”

The Doc began: “I have an older friend much like you, who was an avid hunter and never missed a season.
One day he went off to go hunting.
Being in a bit of a hurry, he accidentally picked up his walking cane instead of his gun.
As he neared a lake, he came across a very large beaver sitting at the water’s edge.
He realized he’d left his gun at home and, so, he couldn’t shoot the magnificent creature.
Out of habit, he raised his cane, aimed at the animal – as if the cane was his best hunting rifle – and went “Bang, bang.”
Miraculously, at the same time, two shots rang out and the beaver fell over dead

“Now what do you think of that?” asked the Doc.

Al thought for a moment and said:
“Logic would strongly suggest that somebody else must have pumped a couple of rounds into that beaver.”

The Doc replied, “My point exactly.”

      1. That will be a billion dollar baby for young mommy. And she’ll barely remember de niro by the kid’s tenth birthday.

    1. H.R
      Good One.

      But….
Watch out for moose in Canada.
Two moose in the bush is much better than one standing in the road.
How do you get a moose to pay for a new car?

    1. Colonialista….
Like a dead SDA said the other day, “We are pass ‘Let them eat cake.’
Do they still service guillotines in France?

  2. As of two weeks ago Military Basic Training no longer use rifles in teaching parade drills. Figuratively and realistically it seems they have been disarmed. I wonder where this is leading to?

  3. Remarkable!

“Professor Robert Clancy with the facts of the matter of HCQ and COVID on Quadrant..

“The third insight came from a concern over conflict of interest (COI) created by grants and payments from pharmaceutical companies to investigators. Where authors had no COI, success for HCQ treatment was 86 per cent, while in those with a COI, only 5% had positive outcomes.”

It’s always safe to follow the dollar.

Any guesses for Vitamin I and others of that ilk?

COI the biggest factor in peer review?

Might be time peer review referees also had to give COI statements?

  4. Imagine working at Twitter and seeing this tweet from your boss.
” This was a mistake by many people at Twitter. ”
Ella Irwin out. If you’ve never seen What is a Woman?, it’s on Twitter now for free. Absurdly funny and alarming at the same time. Elon has come out fully opposed to any gender transition under the age of consent. This will be a good fight, and one we must win.

  5. Watching Bill Blair denying having seen anything about foreign interference gave me a flashback to Hogan’s Heros and the Sgt Schultz line “I see nothing” . Is there any truth to the rumor, that I am starting, that Blair actually played Sgt Schultz?

  6. Perhaps someone has recently mentioned this, but this stupidity has a hard time dying:

Generate 1 Gigawatt = how many watts on earth?
Funny, these articles always fail to discuss the losses. Even if we could afford to build it, what is the efficiency?
Well, conversion loss at source is > 50% (at best, closer to 70%), same goes for receiver. That’s bad enough.
However, it is the free space loss which is the real killer. These stations would have to be in GEO, that’s a long way off.
Telecom satellites with high gain antenna on the transmitter, another high gain receiver antenna still suffer about 110-130 db loss.
That’s a lot, basically all the energy is lost. Fine for TV signals, but for power transmission it is useless. No wonder these articles don’t delve into this aspect -total fool’s errand.

1 Gigawatt in orbit would not even produce 1 watt on earth with any realistic antenna technology.

Sounds like the perfect green plan!

  7. Reminds me of the redneck who bought a wife-beater t-shirt because he believed in the right to bare arms.

  8. “Fun and brave” …

That’s how one describes the US women’s team getting thrashed 12-nil by a bunch of old men retired from Div. Nothing Wrexham. “Fun and Brave”. 7 v 7 on a shrunken field, no offside, no throw ins, and only 20 min. halves. And the US goalkeeper got some high praise for making so many saves … otherwise it would have been 20- Nil

    https://new.cbssports.com/soccer/news/u-s-women-bring-fun-and-brave-perspective-in-12-0-elimination-loss-to-wrexham-in-the-soccer-tournament/

Shamefully embarrassing. Now … I am just waiting for all the Wrexham pub players to take starting positions on the England women’s team (as transgendered soccer “stars”) … and then thrash the fook out of the arrogant US women’s team in the women’s World Cup. Yeah … on a full size pitch … with 45 min. halves … the score could get really, really, ugly.

Women are not physically equal to men. Not. even. close.

    1. But they can pick up a chair while leaning their head against a wall, while men can’t.
Maybe they should make an Olympic sport out of that.

  9. Outrage and charges of a HATE CRIME after a North Hollywood elementary school finds a 4” pride flag burned. But … a group at that school are encouraging parents to keep their kids home from school on “pride day” when the school CELEBRATES the 2sLGBTQqAI+/- “community”. Huh? Some Free Speech is protected … but other Free Speech isn’t?

… Eman Hussan, 18, strutted like a peacock for cameras, while being perp walked by cops in Manlius, where he was charged with grand larceny for joining with two underage pals to swipe a town-owned swan named Faye on Memorial Day, cook her for dinner and kidnap her four babies…
