    1. Super interesting article DB.

Being involved in metals for most of my working life, I am fully aware of the importance of Nickel, without which there would be no stainless steels or any of its variations either…
      Bags of stones eh..?? Wow.

    1. I can’t say regarding the ungulates, but more & more Canada geese have been overwintering here. The last bitter cold snap we had in Feb, accompanied with the big dumps of Globull Warming, killed off a number of them. There were some found dead & frozen in the Oldman River, as well.

    2. Deer dying daily in our part of the prairies, deep snow and hard packed as well. The cattlemen are having to put up with deer etc. in their stacks.Damn coyotes seem to enjoy torturing the live deer even though there are countless dead animals for them to eat

  1. Back in the day, 1981ish, the University of Maryland Student Union movie theater had $2 midnight matinees on the weekends. I watched Pompeii, as well as movies such as Apocalypse Now, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Quadrophenia under the influence of acid or mushrooms.

I was a liberal before liberalism was miserable. It used to be fun, but it didn’t last long. Nowadays it’s more fun to be a conservative. It’s much more counterculture than liberalism ever was. We have boat parades, they have riots and arson.

    1. This is what I’ve been waiting for. The footage released to Carlson pretty much exonerates the guy with the horns. What we really need to know is who are the ones who actually did the window breaking. This is the first one I have heard of anywhere. Ray Epps was clearly protected. How many of these people are there who have not been charged?

    1. Good read Roaddog

Bang on the buck… I live in Calgary, you could not pay me to ride that LRT system

    1. She’ll be no less deserving of that honour than “Martin Luther King” (that name is far too idiotic to be used without quotes).

      1. Elena Ceaușescu had a doctorate too. And let’s not forget Ramzan Kadyrov receiving Order of Merit for his contributions to dentistry (yes really).

        1. Kadirov could actually have a shot for the title of the most decorated man in the world. A lot of those awards came directly from his direct superior Pootin, that includes Hero of Russia.

        1. “Of course MLK has a doctorate. I believe it’s a Doctor of Plagiarism.”

On some blogs that will get you banished (100% true or not).

Even pointing out that his actual name was Michael King, or mentioning his treatment of women. He’s a SAINT, remember?

          1. The mere fact that utterly despicable creatures like “Martin Luther King” and Emmett Till (and more recently George Floyd) become heroes and role models for blacks is the unmistakable proof that blacks are a totally worthless intellectually inferior vermin species.

          2. “…blacks are a totally worthless intellectually inferior vermin species.”

No, it does not. I don’t think Clarence Thomas or Thomas Sowell are intellectually inferior to anyone. As a matter of fact they are intellectually superior to almost all people I came across. Yes, ghetto culture is vile. Yes, reasonable comments can be made of average IQ varying between groups. But conditional on IQ and culture all pretty much behave the same.

          3. I was talking about their species as a whole. Some negrohybrid individuals showing substantial intelligence does not disprove that statement. Blacks never progressed beyond building circular huts, chasing wild animals with spears, making murals and singing tribal songs until those vilified colonialists and enslavers came (on whom they now blame all their woes, even though without “colonialists and enslavers” most of them would still be chasing wild animals with spears to feed themselves). How does it NOT prove their intellectual inferiority?

Oh, and why do you even visit those blogs?”

To get the other side of the story. You should try it sometime.

          5. If by “the other side of the story” you mean myths about “Martin Luther King”, I don’t think I need those; facts are perfectly enough for me. But obviously, I don’t confine my self to right-wing outlets like this one.

    1. How dare you!

You shouldn’t insult shit by comparing it to Chairman Justin. At least shit is useful; it can be used as fertilizer.

  2. I generally ignore calls of “Nazi!” & concomitant finger pointing as the last resort of Prog idiots attempting to score a final hit in their fact-free argument. That said, it seems Progs are utilizing many of the tactics successfully employed back in the 30’s. Are they actually Nazis? That remains to be seen.

  3. NDP has announced that if elected, they will introduce a Somali curriculum in Alberta schools.

    1. That’s a short curriculum. Piracy, clitorectomy and… ? It is not like we have a large number of contributors of anything that anyone wants there.

  4. Nice!

In NCLA Win, Federal Judge Rejects Motion to Dismiss Government-Induced Censorship Lawsuit

    https://nclalegal.org/2023/03/in-ncla-win-federal-judge-rejects-motion-to-dismiss-government-induced-censorship-lawsuit/

“Discovery in the lawsuit unequivocally establishes that at least eleven federal agencies and sub-agencies, including CDC and DHS, directed social media companies to censor viewpoints that conflict with the federal government’s messaging on topics ranging from Covid-19 to elections. Federal officials engaged in a lawless, expansive censorship campaign that employed illicit tactics—including coercion, collusion and coordination—on social media companies to suppress the airing of disfavored perspectives on Covid-19 and other topics. As a direct result of state action, NCLA’s clients were blacklisted, shadow-banned, de-boosted, throttled, and censored, merely for articulating views opposed to government-approved views on Covid-19 restrictions and regulations. Judge Doughty held that “Plaintiffs have plausibly alleged state action under the theories of joint participation, entwinement, and the combining of factors such as subsidization, authorization, and encouragement.””

    Bold mine.

    1. Wow! What a great first step by the courts to protect freedom of speech in the U.S. Still a long way to go, though, in the court process.

  5. Pink Floyd at Pompeii.
I watched that movie to death when I was a Teenager. I had it on CED. Remember those?

    1. No. But I remember the horse drawn carriages and the coal shoots into the basement.

      1. We had a carriage in storage in one of our outbuildings. Wasn’t used in my lifetime.

Had a coal chute, too. I do recall Dad driving the old Maple Leaf 3 ton to Taber once a year to get a load of coal. When I was around 10 the coal furnace was replaced w/ a propane one & the old girl got moved into another outbuilding.

      2. CED’s were those vinyl video discs that were around in the early 80’s.

  6. 78 stolen vehicles recovered, 4 charged as Peel police work to target car theft ‘epidemic’
    https://globalnews.ca/news/9567125/project-r-r-peel-region-car-theft-investigation/

Police have charged four people in connection with the investigation.

Altayeb Brafcany, 29, is facing 15 counts of motor vehicle theft, possession of property obtained by crime, fraud under $5,000 and using a debit card not authorized.

Imad Assi, 29, is facing motor vehicle theft, possession of property obtained by crime and possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Ref’At Faris Mustafa Khatabeh, 44, is facing four counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

Michael Zureiqat, 48, is facing four counts of possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with a release order…”

    1. Hmm… there’s something those four individuals have in common but I can’t quite put my finger on it /s

    1. That outta go over well. Blackie is such a spoiled brat.

Can’t help but wonder if the author’s speculation about which young girl is off the mark…

    1. Jeebus, like cockroaches, they are everywhere even hanging off the mooring lines.
It’s that white male patriarchy forcing them to make the trip.

    1. What’s that lake that feeds the Hoover Dam and Los Vegas ?
That could use some serious filling up.
