All That Backlash To COVID Tyranny Will Make Next Pandemic Tough

    https://www.thepiratescove.us/2023/03/09/all-that-backlash-to-covid-tyranny-will-make-next-pandemic-tough/

” At least 30 states, nearly all led by Republican legislatures, have passed laws since 2020 that limit public health authority, according to a Washington Post analysis of laws collected by Kaiser Health News and the Associated Press as well as the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials and the Center for Public Health Law Research at Temple University.

Health officials and governors in more than half the country are now restricted from issuing mask mandates, ordering school closures and imposing other protective measures or must seek permission from their state legislatures before renewing emergency orders, the analysis showed.”

    1. Being as the current pandemic was not a pandemic, I wouldn’t worry about the “next” one.
Passing laws to prevent the insanity of doing stupid things is a good idea. masks don’t work. social distancing does not work, the vaxxes do not work, lockdowns do not work. How about practicing some real old fashioned medicine, using drugs that do work and procedures that do work and don’t kill people.
The one thing “covid” should have shown us is what not to do. Remdesivir, deadly, intubating, deadly, I could list others but I think most reasonably intelligent people know them.

      1. “Being as the current pandemic was not a pandemic, I wouldn’t worry about the “next” one.”

Agreed. However, substitute “pandemic” with “gov’t fabricated lie” and I think the statement rings true. If nothing else, the antics of the last 3 years have opened the eyes of many fence-sitters and even a few {spit} Progs.

Absolutely. What happens if the next pandemic is actually a *real* one…an outbreak of some deadly disease that we have no immunity from or cure for? And the general public, having been lied to over and over about the supposedly deadly ‘COVID-19’ pandemic, simply ignore any public health orders and go on about their business? The government would no doubt try to blame ‘disinformation’ (or their political enemies), of course, but in reality it would 100% their own fault.

I would call it the Boy Who Cried Wolf effect.

    1. The act of testing itself, is silly and ludicrous. Society has become idiotic and pathetic, testing because they have sniffles, a sore throat or a cough.
Weak, stupid people. Just stay home if you’re not well.
Not once have I tested for the Woohoo flu, and never will, yet, to this day, we have family members that perform this ritual slavishly.

      1. Dan

Had strep Throat back in late 2020…
I was forced to take the 2′ ram up my nostril…
Test came back neg – it was, indeed strep.

Was flabbergasted that I did not test pos…given the utter futility of RT PCR. That was the last time I engaged with Alberta Health Services. An Org that should call itself the Alberta Division of Pfizer/Moderna – “Helping to distribute useless toxins to attenuate supposed ailments”. Ailments that in My opinion were in large part ALL CAUSED by the “vaccines” of the past.

We used to call that “Health” care…Ha as if.
I call it NAZI style profiteering. All based upon the constantly spoken lie that said Pharma are actually seeking cures.
I believe we have seen the Curtain pulled aside, yet that the great mass of ignorant normies world wide, cant see that, will be to their personal detriment….as they drive their car, windows rolled up wearing 2 masks

        “Have another booster moron”

    1. roaddog. I can’t believe it, people are actually catching up to me. I wonder when all the idiots will finally wake up to the fact that without fossil fuels none of their fantasies could possibly exist. CO2 IS NOT NOW, NOR EVER HAS BEEN A POLLUTANT OR A CLIMATE DRIVER.

      1. Ruϟϟischeschweinazis can’t spell or learn even most basic punctuation. And, apparently, don’t know what “soon” is.

        1. (speaking of people who believe themselves to be clever, but really aren’t…)

          “Ruϟϟischeschweinazis can’t spell ”

Awesome. How about the Judenazis…can they spell?

          1. If you think being a Ruϟϟische schwein precludes being a nazi, you are obviously wrong.

      2. “You’re Nazis have lost Bakhmut,”

Ukrainians are not Nazis. Anyway, yes, you’re correct Ukrainians are about to lose it. Congratulations, the second army of the world, has managed to take a town the size of Sarnia Ontario that they started shelling in May and stormed for the first at the start of August (it is March next year now, in case you’re confused). And tens of thousands of orcs have been made good in the process.

Bahmut is not Stalingrad, it is Bunker Hill.
“I wish we could sell them another hill at the same price.” ~ Nathanael Green

P.S. The difference between “your” and “you’re” is the difference between knowing your shit and knowing you’re shit.

    1. roaddog, even if everybody on the planet died there will never be any such thing as net zero. Government math sucks.

    1. Usually the the proviso “too soon” implies you’ve said something bold and controversial, yet insightful. You have nothing to worry about.

      1. “Usually the the proviso “too soon” implies you’ve said something bold and controversial, yet insightful. You have nothing to worry about.”

True. He’s slipping, too…23 posts were made in this thread before he showed up to try and turn this into yet another Ukraine flame war.

    2. six Kinzhal hypersonic cruise missiles –
      **************************

Does anyone know the amount of heat when this thing is in flight and how easy it is to track? Pipe dream missile and nothing more.

      1. Kinzhal is another wunderwaffe. Everything I heard says that it is hypersonic during flight but during terminal phase it needs to slowdown to roughly Iskander speed. While hypersonic it needs to fly nearly straight, its nose is heavily protected to withstand the heat but any substantial course changes would result in disintegration of the missile. Iskanders have been successfully intercepted by variants of S-300 (V4 if I remember correctly but not older P models) and more modern defenses like Patriot PAC-3 MSE would probably have no problems with it.

    1. I have no love lost, or respect for Mr. Lilley ever since he threw freedom fighters under the bus.

Let him fight his own battles.

    1. GMs Canadian corporate headquarters was in down town Oshawa, within walking distance or its founder RS McLaughlan’s house. They shut it down and bulldozed it in the 80s and built a new facility outside the city. That new facility has been half empty and rented out to other tenants for the past decade. A few weeks ago I noticed that in no longer had a GM sign on it and I recently found out that it has been sold to Ontario Power Generation who has sold their University Avenue corporate HQ and was planning on building a new one near the Darlington generating station. In a shocking move they decided to save the money of building a new one and buy off GM instead.

    1. I had dinner with a South African who believes fresh water is the real problem. People are coping well enough without constant electricity but don’t have the capacity to store large amounts of water. Good article. The raw sewage seems to be another problem.

    1. I think that should read ” in a mockery of International Women’s Day”. Fortunately, no one takes Justin seriously anymore.

  2. Egypt is withdrawing from the international grain treaty.

    https://www.reuters.com/markets/commodities/egypt-withdraws-un-grain-treaty-prompting-sadness-concern-2023-03-09/

It’s hard to determine what the grain treaty accomplishes. Egypt says it gets nothing from its membership and it will save money by not paying dues. The country has been buying grain directly from Russia, borrowing money from the IMF, faces record inflation, and is struggling with a stalled economy.

The multinational Grains Trade Convention (GTC) is operated by the United Nations and “promotes market transparency to further trade cooperation” which means it does nothing just as Egypt claims. What the IMF gives, the UN takes away, leaving countries with more debt. Sometimes running out of other people’s money is a good thing.

    1. The father is right. Implementing these potentially harmful policies without discussion is tyrannical. I am guessing the policy mandate came from ” on- high”. My guess is this is happening right across Ontario. Why is the safety of adolescent girls not considered as part of the requirement to create ” safe spaces?”

    2. I am hoping that more parents will take their sons and daughters out of the public school system. Yes, it will cost more money to place them in private schools (I think $ 1,000/month is the going rate) because the family’s property taxes will still have monies going to the education system, but good, basic education is important for entrance into good post-secondary institutions.
I graduated high school in 1970. I could count on one hand (5) the number of good teachers whom I had. I enrolled my daughter into the International Baccalaureate program (created in 1980) when she was in Grade 10. It was of enormous help to her when she entered university.
The public school system has become a crazy place.

Mayor Eric Adams Surrenders New York City’s Title of ‘Sanctuary City’

      https://pjmedia.com/news-and-politics/rick-moran/2023/03/09/mayor-eric-adams-surrenders-new-york-citys-title-of-sanctuary-city-n1676873

      A year ago:
““It is unimaginable what the governor of Texas has done, when you think about this country, a country that has always been open to those who were fleeing persecution,” New York City Mayor Eric Adams said. “We’ve always welcomed them. And this governor is not doing that in Texas. But we are going to set the right tone of being here for these families.””

My, my, my. How money changes things…

    1. “Doesn’t say which provinces.”

      Strange, huh?

“Likely Alberta because those not wanting to wait 10 years for an MRI can pay to get it right away.”

Which is nothing like a ‘user fee’ as stated in the article.

” Naturally, Québec will be exempt. ”

      Oh, naturally.

  3. Fun times ahead at Faux.

Private communications (internal email) released as part of Dominion Voting Systems $1.6 billion dollar defamation lawsuit against Faux show how Tucker Carlson, “passionately hates Trump” and yearns for the end of his presidency. Haha

If the suit is successful, and the bar is set very high on defamation cases (ask Sarah Palin) the Murdoch’s will be handing out pink slips. They will anyway. These lying talking heads are damaged goods.

    1. So? I’ve stopped listening to Fox since it was shown that they are just as corrupt as the rest of the main-stream media.

And that goes for Newsmax as well.

      1. You mean when they correctly called Arizona? Trumpies were upset because it was *too soon*. Or maybe they were upset because they think media outlets calling races actually has an influence on the outcome.

        1. “You mean when they correctly called Arizona? ”

No, he means when they *prematurely* called Arizona, before they had any real way of knowing if they were correct to do so.

The fact that they got lucky later means nothing.

      1. Let’s not talk about sidewalks. They are violent things.

Why just last year, one rose up and hit me in the face.

        1. Lawsuit! After all, it’s obvious it was the sidewalk’s fault, just lying there on the side of the road with no prior warning.

    1. Outrageous. Whites in the US should double-down on having babies. No justification for the WEF making such a racist statement. How would it look if they said such a thing about blacks?

  4. Yeah, he doesn’t look like he’s missed many meals, either.

Montana Senator Jon Tester’s Restaurant Bills Don’t Match His Everyman Image

    https://freebeacon.com/democrats/montana-senator-jon-testers-restaurant-bills-dont-match-his-everyman-image/

“Tester’s campaign and leadership PAC have dropped at least $1.2 million at restaurants and on catered events since 2006…”

Nice work, if you can get it.

Two elections ago he had campaign signs littered all over Montana. Never saw a single one of them noting what party he was running for, neutral colors all. He was trying to distance himself from the Dems as much as possible.

  5. Wake me up for the bad news.

The ghost of Ancient Rome haunts America

    https://archive.is/Aqea0#selection-637.0-637.40

“The death of Ancient Rome wasn’t so much a collapse as a slow, interminable decay: between the second and sixth centuries AD, its population declined from a million people to just 30,000. Since then, 15 centuries have passed and thousands of cities have been built. And yet, as Rome’s greatest chronicler Edward Gibbon warned in 1776, a similar fate awaits our modern metropolises.”

    1. DB

i just love this bit of absolute Pie hole utterance from Jagmeat.

“…NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh said the latest allegations are “eroding public trust”</b" in Canadian institutions…"
      What fing "Public Trust"…??

I don't know about you, but I've absolutely ZERO trust in ANY Public institution -Beit City/Town Council – Big City Mayors – Premiers, PM and ANYONE in in our supposed “health care” INDUSTRY.

All of whom fully deserving of a Nuremberg Necklace.

      1. Anybody w/ two brains cells to rub together haven’t trusted public institutions for decades. I think JagDerp is referring to those single brain-celled organisms that are finally coming to their senses.

    2. It will be difficult, but not impossible, for the Dear Leader to call this testimony before Parliament racist:

“Chinese Canadians told MPs Friday that Beijing’s government has directed a widespread influence and harassment campaign targeted at them for decades, long before new revelations about the 2019 and 2021 elections.

Cheuk Kwan, co-chair of the Toronto Association for Democracy in China, told MPs holding hearings at the House of Commons Ethics committee, that the Communist Party has been reaching out since the 1989 Tiananmen Square massacre.

“We are definitely not surprised by the finding of the recent CSIS report. No doubt the interference in Canadian electoral process is a grave concern but I argue that this is the tip of the iceberg,” he said.”

      https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/chinese-canadians-foreign-influence-widespread

      1. Stateside they just recently managed to blame racist whitey for black cops killing a black man. If nothing else, these bastards are both consistent & creative.
