    Let’s follow up on submarine locations and durations first. Its seems equally possible that Russia needed to tighten LNG supply potential.
    The data’s there, prolly next to someone’s classic car or something of the nature.

      1. The pipelines were shut down. Germany had no intention of opening it.
        Doesn’t make sense to blow up a pipeline that is closed down.

        However if the closed pipeline was never going to open, which is true, could blowing it up serve a purpose? Like sowing descension? Like warning other submarine pipeline users?

    2. Ridiculous comment. Russia has control of the compressor stations and valves. Easy to say you have a down compressor than blow up a pipeline on the seabed.

Russia can sell all the gas it wants – or more accurately, all the gas it can supply; and right now, China will take it all well into the foreseeable future, but Russia can’t supply China and Europe at the same time. So how easier to cripple Germany and through them, all Europe while assuring they can meet their supply contracts to the Chinese and shrug-off their contracted supply to their NATO customers?

        And I really hope that’s what happened; because if the U.S. did it, I fail to see how that’s not an act of war against Russia. And best of all for the Russians (and the Chinese, now that staple of international diplomacy has been tossed into the dustbin of history), it’s an open invitation to do the same to the U.S. in “tit-for-tat” meme. This could get very ‘interesting’ – and very ugly.

    1. That was my first guess too. They have very experienced navy divers/special forces unit Formoza. They invested heavily in underwater drones.       Two – Three weeks until Tapioca Joe confirms that the US sabotaged the Nordstream Pipelines. All four (4) pipelines within a few hours was not a coincidence.

      With Senile Joe Biden’s skill, grace, and timing? It will probably be blabbed out loud inadvertently during an answer about a record cold snap in Europe when they are hauling frozen corpses out of European apartment buildings that had no natural gas heat and rolling blackouts.

        The only time I ever saw that explanation, and as they were trying to pin it on the Russians, that would have been all over the news pushing Russian incompetence and US innocence at the same time. The fact that never happened, I call this story not likely.

      The Americans clearly want Germany and every other NATO member to be vassals who obey unquestioningly, and the Germans being willing to continue trading with Russia called that into question.

          6. High level viral containment labs were built around the world over that past 10-15 years or so. I was involved in some design work as I was involved with Winnipeg’s Lab on systems.
            The official line was they were built to contain/research a lethal viral outbreak locally rather than bring that virus to another country. Reducing risk. They are not on the scale of Winnipeg’s Lab, but would do the job.

I opined here months ago that there are very few countries that could have carried out this type of operation so lets re-examine the list. Russia needed the gas money from Germany and the rest of Europe to finance the war. America was pissed that Germany was helping Russia finance the war. If China could ignite a war between Russia and America, China wins. If America had blown up the pipeline Russia could declare war. If China has blown up the pipeline Russia could declare war. This puts Putin at a disadvantage, damned if he does and damned if he does either way. So is this why Putin has done nothing? Three super powers and neither one trusts the other two. Sounds like a standoff, politically and militarily. If it was a CIA c*ck-up and the truth does come out there is going to be a whole lot of hurt dished out.

  23. I think Russia knew almost immediately that the US / NATO was responsible for this.

    If they react now, in response to this story that has just now been allowed to enter mainstream news, instead of when they knew about it months ago, that just tells us that Russia is just another actor here, doing nothing more than playing their part in whatever script is unfolding.
